First Encounter

"Hi, I'm Neri," said the boy.

Izuku woke up, wrapped up in bandages. Probably the boy's work Neri had pale blue hair with about a 4-5 inch horn on his head. He looked about 12. He seemed bewildered, looking at Izuku's hideout and the countless items of technology that lay there.

"I'm Deku," Izuku replied.

Deku was the name that Izuku had decided on for his vigilante name. He wanted an alias so that people don't go searching for his mom's house and also so that his suicide notes seemed more plausible. He chose the name Deku because that was the name he had been insulted with his whole life.

Neri smiled. "Nice to meet you, Deku-san!" He said. Neri seemed safe around Deku. Probably because of the sacrifice Deku took to save him from that masked man.

"Neri, I don't want you leaving this place but, if you do leave, don't tell people about this secret hideout. It's our secret," Izuku said.

Neri nodded.

"I'm going out to buy a bed for you. Are you hungry?" Izuku asked.

Neri said no, but he looked as if he hadn't eaten in days. He was insecure. Izuku wondered what had happened to him in the past. Izuku went out and bought some new clothes for Neri. He also purchased a mattress and some food. Though Izuku had decent cooking skills, he bought something that Neri could eat as-is so that he could work on his sword. His fight with Stain, his old mentor, damaged it a bit. Izuku brought the stuff back to his hideout to see Neri just doing nothing.

"Here," Izuku said. He tossed the bread he bought in Neri's direction. As he lay the mattress down on the sandy beach floor, he saw Neri barbarically tearing at the food.

"I thought you weren't hungry," Izuku said, as he chuckled at the sight of a vulnerable Neri. "So, Neri, why was that man dragging you away?" Izuku asked.

"I don't know who he is. All I know is that he is a gang boss. He said I had a powerful quirk. He started taking me away, and he wanted to experiment on me or something," Neri replied.

"What is your quirk?" Izuku inquired.

"I don't know. All I know is that whenever I use it, bad things happen, and I always pass out." Neri said.

"So your quirk is powerful,"

"Yes,"

"And you don't know how to to use it."

"Mhmm"

"Or what it is."

"Yep"

"Let's go outside," Izuku said.

Both Neri and Izuku stepped outside.

"I don't know much about quirks, but I do know that it's like learning to walk. Focus your attention on this last piece of bread with the intent to use your quirk," Izuku insisted.

Neri put his hands up and concentrated on the bread while closing his eyes. The food became moldy in seconds.

"Hm. So Neri's quirk brings things into the future," Izuku thought. Neri collapsed.

It seemed Neri couldn't control his quirk well. His power was a useful quirk in some cases and very dangerous in others, mainly because he couldn't control it. Izuku decided not to tell Neri what his power was for now and train him later.

He chose to work on the sword. The problem with the sword was that it had a limit of ten slashes, then the sword would release all that energy. That ended up breaking the sword in his fight with Stain. He remade the sword and connected it with his gauntlet. That way, the overflow of energy would channel itself into the gauntlet, amplifying the explosive power. He finished it; the new and improved version of the sword. Staring at that sword reminded him of Stain. Speaking of Stain, Izuku wanted to make another sword to go with the first one. He would call it the Stain sword. He was going to put a paralyzation serum in the sword so that it paralyzes the person it slashes, almost like Stain's quirk, only that he didn't have to lick blood to activate it. The downside was that it wore off after 20 seconds, so he had to think of something to do within that short time. Not only that, but he had to refill after using it. He had almost finished it by the time he wanted to go on patrol. He had been known as the white demon around the street because his white hair was the most obvious thing in the night.

He went on patrol. All around the city, there were barely any crimes except for pickpockets and purse-snatchers, which Izuku could deal with efficiently. There were no signs of the masked man from yesterday. He decided to get some food at a fast-food place. For him, he got a burger, fries, and a milkshake. He didn't know what Neri liked, so he got Neri some chicken nuggets, chips, and a drink. As he was collecting his food, he saw Momo. It seemed like she saw him too. She was alone, and Izuku kind of liked her. He went to talk to her.

"Are you avoiding me?" She said to him.

"No, I just haven't seen you around," He replied.

"Well, here's my number, Deku. Call me," She said, walking away.

They were both blushing. Izuku walked home, reading that number over and over again. He was so happy that he didn't even notice when he bumped into a big guy.

"What are you doing?" The man shouted.

He put on some brass knuckles and prepared for a punch. Izuku reached into his pocket where his knife would usually be, and it wasn't there. The only thing that was there was his paralyzation serum. He wanted to test it out but had forgotten that he even brought it. He had to get the serum into the man's bloodstream.

{A/N: He is right next to the beach at this point}

The man punched, but Izuku redirected the punch back into the man's face. The man started to bleed. Izuku took that chance and splashed the serum in his face. He paralyzed the man. Neri stood outside the hideout and said to Izuku with a frightened look on his face:

"That's a gangster under the man who tried to kidnap me yesterday."
