Quirkless (A Vigilante Izuku Story)

"He destroyed my soul that day. His brightly colored suit being the last thing I saw." My faith was lost. He broke my soul and smashed it again. I realized that I couldn't be a hero if the number 1 is a liar. Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/StrongRat1 *DISCLAIMER* I do not own any of the characters except for the ones I create. Changes

That fight told Izuku all he needed to know. He was weak, with no training. All his life, he had been bullied, and only luck allowed him to win that fight. He had the dagger, but that wasn't going to cut it. If Izuku wanted to save people, he needed intense training, or else he might endanger the people he tried to help. Right now, he was weak. But as he cataloged his strengths, he realized that they were in his mind: sciences, mechanics, and analyzation. He was only able to create the dagger because of these skills. He had spent thousands of hours analyzing a hero and villain's strengths and weaknesses. He needed to hone his powers before he started training on his shortcomings. To fully become Deku, he needed more weapons like the daggers and more powers that would allow him to fight on par with the supers. He decided to go to Dagobah beach to get parts to make weapons.

{A/N Dagobah Municipal Beach Park is the beach that Izuku cleaned up as training in the first season.}

When he got there, he was dumbfounded. He couldn't believe how much valuable stuff there was. There were mobile phones, broken cars with slightly damaged engines. All of these things had their uses when it came to making weapons. It was his haven. He could build a temporary base there and create so that his mom doesn't find him out. He didn't want her to worry. He looked back on his recent fight and at all the injuries he'd incurred. As he created more weapons, he started to realize these weapons still won't be enough.

*knock knock*

He wasn't expecting anyone. His base on the beach was quiet and hidden, and he didn't think anyone would find it. Fear crept in. He grabbed his electric dagger and opened the door, prepared to stab any enemy who walked in. His attack was blocked. There stood a tall man with fuzzy hair, a ragged red suit with a grey mask, and two katanas on his back.

"Hey, kid. I'm Stain, the hero-killer," he said.

Izuku looked mortified. He heard about Stain on the news, but he didn't think he would encounter one of the most infamous villains so soon in his hero journey.

"W-why are you here?" Izuku inquired, reeking with fear.

"I've been watching you since you encountered that slime monster. I think you have what it takes to be a real hero, unlike the other fake rotten bastards," Stain said.

Izuku was pumped! Excitement eclipsed all the fear. Stain was the first person to call him a real hero.

"But you need training. I watched your fight with the rapist, and he almost destroyed you. Well, until you brought out that dagger." he said, "You need physical training and a proper base. I found this thing in seconds."

Stain took him to what seemed like an abandoned parking lot right outside the city. They started to talk. Izuku told him about his story and how his idol shattered his dreams of becoming a hero.

"I get it now. You want to be a true hero even without a quirk. You need lots of combat training, discipline, and focus," Stain said. "Before I can train you, fake your death, then come to this location."

Stain slipped him a piece of paper with an address on it. "Fake your death, change your look, then come to me at eight pm tomorrow. You must cut all ties with everyone."

Izuku walked back home. Trembling, he held his pen and began to write:

Mom, I want you to know that I love you. If you have seen this letter, then I am dead. I want you to know that it wasn't your fault that I died. It was the world. Quirkless was the word that I heard every single day of my life, a term that was my enemy that caused the masses to hate me and to think of me as nothing but dirt in today's society. I was beaten by my classmates every day and told me to jump off a roof in the hope that the next one would be better. I have finally done that.

Yours sincerely, Izuku Midoriya.

Tears dropped down onto the paper as he wrote. He slid it under her door. He wrote a second letter:

Kacchan, you always wanted me to kill myself. Well, your dream has finally come true.

Izuku Midoriya.

Izuku went to Bakugou's house to deliver the letter and then he went to the sea. He plunged inside and stayed down long enough to make it look like he had drowned. He swam underwater away from shore before coming up for air. Then, he went to a barbershop and dyed his hair white and bought dark blue contact lenses.

Inko Midoriya arrived at home. She dropped her bag. A weird chill went through her spine. "Izuku," she said. She ran upstairs to his room. Izuku wasn't there. When she was about to walk back downstairs, she saw a note on her door—Izuku's suicide note. "No!" she screamed. Bakugou was walking home from school when he felt uneasy. "Deku," he said, worried. He rushed to Izuku's house and saw police cars everywhere. The loud sound of the sirens had drowned out with the sound of explosions. That was Bakugou's quirk. He barged into the house and saw Izuku's mom crying on the floor, holding a note. Bakugou knew what had happened. Izuku had killed himself.

Bakugou walked back home, downcast. As he entered his driveway, he saw something sticking out of his mailbox; his last letter from Izuku. When Bakugou read this, he seemed petrified. He was frozen, and the only thing moving was the tears running down his face. He said to himself, "It was all my fault," He shouted, "NOOOO!" while sobbing. "Deku, I know I treated you like that, but I didn't mean it. I hated you because you were so perfect. I had the one thing you wanted, but you had the hundreds of things I wanted." he said. "I'm sorry, Deku! From today, I'll be a real hero."

Leaving everything and everyone behind, Izuku went to meet Stain. Training began immediately, as Stain welcomed him with an array of attacks. Izuku was prepared this time, dodging, blocking, and giving as good as he got.

"I see you've sharpened your skills," Stain said from a distance.

"I have, master."
