Are They Back?

"HAHA Elder sister, did you see that? I am the real hier of the throne and you were just the rat protecting someone else's wealth. But I do have to thank you elder sister, without you Europe would never be the most powerful continent after Asia."

When he had said the later part of the sentence, his face had become so much innocent that no one would even believe that he was the reason behind the downfall of an entire empire.

" I know you are tired from all these things sister so don't worry you can rest well now and no one would disturb your slumber."

" Now your last wish is also completed elder sister so it's time to send you to your deep slumber."

(The Queen's last wish was to know the truth which is mentioned in the previous chapter)

He grinned evilly. She (the Queen) didn't say anything but merely smiled but everyone could see the desire burning in her eyes.

The King saw this and asked, " Are you angry sister?"

" I am not angry but just wounded and you should know baby brother that a wounded tigress is much more dangerous than a angry one."

The king didn't say anything else but took our a lighter and played with it. It was the same lighter which the Queen had given to him on his previous birthday.

Seeing that he was playing with the lighter that she had gifted him she sneered, " I am the representative of the death itself. Do you think death can scare me??"

" I know that you treat death as your playmate but today I will make you face death itself." said the King

He made a sign with his fingers and all the hidden guards along with Jun Liang retreated leaving the King and the Queen alone on the large hall.

The large hall was empty. There was a pin drop silence in the hall. Only the footsteps of the king was heard. The Queen was eyeing him like a wolf.

He went near the throne and picked up the wine glass from the armrest of the throne. He then stared at her and slowly sipped the wine.

" I know that it is fake but it looks real."

(Also said in the previous chapter that the cup was a hierloom and its location was only known to the Queen)

There was a hint of self depreciation in his voice.

He didn't say anything after this and signed after a long period of time. He kept on staring the Queen as if he wanted to imprint her face in his memories.

The Queen also didn't say anything but just kept eyeing his expression to know the truth of the matter.

" Death is also fake. If we truly have got guts to look beyond death then death will just be a path that will lead us to our new life."

After hearing what he said, her mind stopped functioning and only one question was lingering on her mind.

"Are they back?"
