CHAPTER 1.

QUINN'S POV:

I stumbled my way down the spiral staircase as I ran. I could bet Rissa was probably calling me every name that exists under the sun.

"I'm Here!" I yelled, startling her in the process as she jolted.

"Holy Jesus! Quinn!" She hissed and I just smiled.

"Girls? Do you have everything you need?" We both turned to my mother as we nodded simultaneously.

"Yes we do. You don't have to worry mum." I assured as Rissa scoffed.

I sent her a stern glare. My mother didn't need to know of my streaks.

"Alright then. take care girls." She gave us both a kiss on our heads before we finally drove off in my Porsche.

"What are you expecting to see today?" Rissa asked and I snorted.

"Have I told you how much I hate being the newbie?" She smirked.

"You just did. you'll be okay. Besides, if you ignore the right people, Senior year will be a breeze." I sighed as we drove into the parking lot of Eastside High. I stared, mildly impressed by the entirety of the school. It was really big.

"Quinn? Welcome to East high Sis."

Students were milling around aimlessly and I just watched the scene unfold. I frowned as I spotted something else.

"Ris? What's happening there?" I asked getting her to look in the direction I was pointing. She immediately pushed my hand down.

"Don't point Quinn. Just walk away like you didn't see anything." She said and I looked at her like she was crazy.

"What's that supposed to mean? There's a bunch of guys bullying a poor innocent girl like me and you're saying I walk away?" I questioned and she raised an eyebrow at me.

"Okay, first off you're nothing close to innocent and it's your first day here. you haven't even made it into the school building!" She exclaimed and I rolled my eyes and started walking in the direction of the guys.

From what I could see, they were two guys. I suddenly started to rethink but the look on the girl's face made me walk even faster.

"Hey girl! Where have you been?! Dad's here!" I called out as I got closer. I could only hope she grabbed the hint I was throwing. The guys looked at me as I approached closer. I wanted to believe Rissa was by my side but who was I kidding?

That girl was the most ignorant person I've ever met. And I've known her for Six years.

"Who the hell are you?" One of the guys asked and I smiled brightly at him.

"Hi. I'm Maya. That's my sister. I came to get her." I said. The other guy laughed and the girl looked even more scared for me than herself.

"Faith doesn't have a sister."

Shit. Plot twist.

"You're funny. Anyways we have to get going. See you guys later!" I hollered and grabbed Faith's hand dragging her away from the men.

"Hey!"

"Start walking to that white Porsche." I hissed in Faith's ear. She didn't need to be told twice before walking away quickly. I turned back to the guys.

"Yeah?"

"Who the fuck are you? Don't you know how to mind your own business?!" I blinked at the sudden hostility.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to get my sister. I don't know where she found you guys but you two are total dumbasses." The words slipped before I could rain check.

They stared in shock and I blinked back at them in similar shock.

"The hell did you just say girl?" They advanced forward and I took several steps back. I suddenly realized why Faith was cornered here. You could barely see anything happening here.

Curse my eagle eyes.

"Okay. listen guys. let's start over. I'm Maya. What's your names?" I attempted again.

"Since you want to be a hero so much, you're coming with us." Using my size to my advantage, I ducked as he made a move to grab me before charging towards my car.

I could here them behind me but I ran even faster. I got into the car and slammed the door shut. Rissa floored the car and sped us out of there.

After driving for a while, We slowed down in front of a convenient store. "What the hell did you do Quinn?" She asked and I smiled cheekily.

"Nothing. Where's Faith?" I asked instead.

"Back at school. Where we should be."

"I think Trouble is attracted to me." I said and Rissa groaned fustrated.

"I don't even want to know what you did." She sighed.

See? I told you she was ignorant.
