With Vidreid's demise, the civil war concluded, and the Underworld transitioned into a post-war era. The Resistance Army, now in control of Lucifaad, set up its headquarters there and promptly began addressing post-war matters.

A few months into reconstruction, the Great King, Zekram Bael, unexpectedly summoned Sirzechs, Serafall, Ajuka, and Falbium.

"I would like the four of you to inherit the throne of Satan," he announced, revealing his intention to establish a new government system. With all the high-ranking demons in agreement, only the selection of Satan remained.

Serafall gasped in disbelief, expressing her reluctance. "Become Satan? That's impossible... it's going to be a disaster."

Ajuka pondered deeply, while Falbium expressed partial disagreement. "Could you tell us the reason?" Sirzechs inquired.

"It's simple. Currently, in the Underworld, the four of you are by far the strongest demons, and to be honest, you are probably stronger than the deceased Satan. You are the most appropriate candidates to occupy the thrones," Zekram Bael explained.

Sirzechs suspected another motive, perhaps using them as political pawns. "Do you intend to use us as political puppets?" Ajuka asked bluntly.

"Hey, Ajuka!" Serafall scolded her friend's comment.

Zekram Bael laughed off the suggestion. "I have no intention of using you, especially after witnessing the power you demonstrated against the Satan's families. However, you should also be able to work with older demons. I'll leave most things in your hands."

The four pondered the king's words deeply before Sirzechs broke the silence. "Could you wait until after I resolve the internal affairs of the Gremory House that arose after the civil war?"

"Reconstruction takes priority. Very well, I'll await your decision then," Zekram Bael concluded, leaving the four with a sense of surprise as they exited the meeting.

Sirzechs and his friends returned to their domains to address the war's aftermath. Grayfia Lucifugus, having lost her place, was taken to the Gremory domain by Zeoticus' request to aid in rebuilding.

One day, while working on a windmill in the Gremory domain, Sirzechs suddenly proposed to Grayfia. Despite the unconventional setting, Grayfia accepted, expressing her support for Sirzechs as the new Lucifer.

After resolving the Gremory House's internal affairs, Sirzechs and his friends accepted the thrones of Satan's, as per Zekram Bael's wish.

Meanwhile, in a remote mountain village, Euclid Lucifugus harboured intense resentment towards Sirzechs and the Gremory family, blaming them for his sister's fate. He expressed his anguish through violent outbursts, seeking vengeance for what he perceived as the theft of his sister's honour.

Zaoroma Nebiros, who had fled Lucifaad at the end of the civil war, established an underground research centre in a remote, uninhabited region untouched by upper-class demons.

After meticulously destroying confidential documents and evidence from the capital's laboratory, he found solace in this secluded area. While writing a report on the civil war, he remarked, "I never expected them to amplify Beelzebub's power to such an extent."

A voice emanated from a magic transmission circle on Zaoroma Nebiros' table. "There are affinities. Depending on the user, they can transform like Beelzebub did, but there are cases where it has no effect," spoke Barbariccia, the leader of the『Malebranche』. Zaoroma Nebiros had preserved the『Malebranche』in a distant region along the Underworld's border.

Listening to Barbariccia's words, Zaoroma Nebiros rubbed his chin. "I suppose this should be the focus of my future investigations."

Continuing to write with his pen, he added, "Anyway, I'm considering visiting the various laboratories I've established in other regions while concealing my identity. A hundred years for a demon is not much time, but it's almost insufficient for my experiments."

"Then we'll go back to sleep until the time comes," Barbariccia replied.

"Hmm. We'll meet again when all the Longinus owners unite once more. Well, it's unlikely to happen, but let's hope so," Zaoroma Nebiros concluded.

With their conversation over, the transmission circle vanished. Outside the『Malebranche』, Zaoroma Nebiros had chosen to awaken Barbariccia, knowing his rationality, but it seemed this era wasn't satisfactory for him. The demons returned to their slumber, and the leaders of the other six houses descended from Lucifer, who knew of them, had perished during the war without revealing anything about the『Malebranche』.

Leafing through a newspaper distributed throughout the Underworld, Zaoroma Nebiros read about the new reform policies of the Great Four Satan's. While he acknowledged that these policies might slightly improve conditions for ordinary citizens, he believed the fundamental discriminatory mindset and hierarchical structure of society would persist. He knew that as long as Zekram Bael and the previous generation of demons remained within the political sphere, the aristocracy would never be abolished.

Zaoroma Nebiros' attention then shifted to the image of the new Lucifer: the portrait of Sirzechs Lucifer. "Well, let's see what I can find out about the Transcendentals," he muttered to himself. As long as the Satan's didn't interfere with his investigation, their identities were inconsequential.
