Chapter 11: Frustrated

Mariah and Naja, we're home now, Aunt Iren was in the living room watching her favorite series, it was an Americano- Asiatic series that aired in 2006, the series was once watched by her but it was so interesting that all she wished was to see the series again. Mariah entered and hugged her aunty preciously.

"Aunt, it's good seeing you after the past months, I hope you had a safe journey?" Mariah asked as she looked straight into her eyes.

"Yes my daughter, I had a safe journey but before coming to your friend's house I passed through your ex-husband's house and I met Jane and that useless Khloe, I made sure I gave them bitter words before leaving the environment."

"You shouldn't have done that aunt, but anyways you are welcome. Have you had something?

"Yes my princess, Caitlyn served me already, right now I just want to watch my series, you remember this series right? We once watched it when you weren't yet married to that beast." Aunt Iren mentioned.

"Yes, I do. Right now I need a cold shower, see you soon." Mariah.

Naja and Mariah went upstairs after discussing with aunt Iren, that they had a stressful day at the restaurant and the only way for them to reduce the stress was by getting a cold bath. Climbing the stairs, Caitlyn could get them as she was in her room calculating the money spent over the month, from their footsteps, she knew they were around. She stepped out of her room so she could have a word with them. Just when she stepped out, she noticed they were tired and she obviously had to accord them some little time so they could have some rest.

"Girls, I don't know what happened at the restaurant but from what I can see, you two are tired and you need some rest, we will discuss later." Caitlyn mentioned. Naja made a hand sign without altering a word cause she was exhausted while Mariah managed to say something before getting to her room.

After some hours of trekking, Fred was finally home, his friend Comry had made fried rice with chicken waiting for him, he had no idea about his whereabouts nor had he been picking up his calls, the only thing he could not prepare and wait for him to return before asking him. " Finally you are home, I thought you weren't going to come back now, so tell me now, where have you been all this while and why did you not inform me that you were going out?" Comry asked. He had been scared because each time Fred left the house he always informed him and he made sure he wasn't long, but today wasn't the case.

"Hey calm down, so many questions at a time, before you get mad, I went to see Miss Mariah if she could accord your boss a divorce so you won't get fired." Fred mentioned.

"What, you did that? You shouldn't have done that, I know she said no anyways."

"You are right, she refused to help me out, but why aren't you happy? I tried saving your job instead of thanking me. You are here making big guys." Fred said in anger.

"I'm not angry because you tried helping me, I just realized that woman has helped me a lot and me treating her that way is weird I'll better get fired than see that lady in tears." Comry mentioned

Fred got angry after hearing such from Comry, to him he never cared if Mariah was the one who found a job for Comry, all he wanted was for him to keep his post. He had sacrificed his time to go see Mariah because of his selfish reasons. If Comry loses his job, he would be losing some advantages too like money and gifts. Each time Comry received his remuneration, he made sure he gave him some money and offered him some gifts like clothes and shoes. For some seconds he stayed quiet without altering a word, when Comry was on his way to room, he stopped him and began with his questions.

"I don't think you should lose your job just because of your boss and miss Mariah problems, you aren't responsible for that right?" he asked looking straight into his eyes.

"Fred please I don't want to talk about this again, I'm tired and need some rest, see you tomorrow have a prosperous night." Comry mentioned.

The next morning it was 7:00 AM, when Naja left for the market, the food stuff which were home was almost finished, with Aunt Iren's presence they had to renew them so she wouldn't stress anytime she needed something. That morning she was to leave with Mariah, but due to the fact that she was slow, Naja left alone, she needed to be fast so they could arrive at the restaurant on time. On her arrival at the market, she noticed a grey car parked at the entrance of the market, she knew it was Mariah's car but what she had no idea about was who brought her car to the market. Just when she was about to enter the market to get her food, she saw Khloe walking up to her.

"Hey Naja, how are you doing this morning? You came to buy food stuff just like me." she said while caressing her tommy.

"Just as you did you say? Can you even cook?" Naja asked as she burst into laughter.

"Well don't forget to greet Mariah, please let her know that since her departure we have been taking good care of the house and soon we'll have a baby, by then she can visit us, right now I'll get into my car and get home."

"Do you mean you are the one riding Mariah's car now? Oh no, babe, don't tell me you Neil was unable to get a new car for you, it's so funny. I saw the car earlier and thought it was used by the maid, I had no idea you ride this." Naja said with a smile on her face.
