Psychopath's Conquest: Money, Women, and Power!

[On Hiatus] The hope for better days was Daichi's only reason for enduring his abusive family riddled with addictions, and heartbreaks. But it all came to an end when things just spiraled out of hand when their bodies began dropping like flies. With no family and no friends to call his own, he casts himself from atop a tall building to escape this torturous hell. However, picked right back up from the dead by a demon, he's given a chance to make everyone who'd made his life miserable pay for their actions. Bated by the offer to exact revenge on the bullies and the teachers whose actions led to the suicide of his best friend and then his own, he's pulled into a deep spiral, a spiral that's bound to turn him into a killer of men, women, and monsters! A revenge story that soon evolves into a battle royal amongst demons paired with human partners so they can claim the throne as the next demon king! Notes: 1. The first 10 chapters focus on Mc's trauma, after that the real story begins! 2. The story isn't going to be rushed in any way since that ruins the flow so expect a detailed built-up, character development, etc over time that amounts to a fantastically mind-bending experience! 3. Mc is as the name suggests a psychopath so obviously there will be plenty of cruel things done by him. 4. Gore, and suggestive content warning. 5. Mc will steal other people's women, but won't get anyone stolen from him. 6. Keep in mind this is supposed to be realistic dark fiction, so Mc won't go from weak to strong in a matter of seconds. 7. Past chapter 10 the story will involve multiple character Pov from time to time to show things from a different angle and how the events of the story are affecting them. A Colossal Blunder

'One task and she managed to colossally fuck it up…' Done talking with Mizuki on the phone, I made my way to the Infirmary where the demoness was supposed to join me soon. Every step on my way there an infernal flame of uncertainty, the kind of which I'd been burned by Hibiki, was flaring up in my heart.

Today was meant to mark the beginning of my revenge yet it ended up in a blunder. Even questioning my judgment about letting Mizuki pry into Akane's memories, I couldn't help but pray in my heart that she was okay and no permanent scars had been engraved on her mind.

'I can't trust her to do anything at all, for all I know she did this on purpose.' Vowing not to rely too much on the nightshade demon, I pulled myself out of doubt and set my eyes straight until I finally arrived at the Infirmary.

Lined up outside was a scattering of students gathered up for the spectacle after hearing the floating rumors. A girl fainted in the restroom, they said. Wasn't she the track girl who got caught with enhancers in her locker? They gossiped. The rumors clambered up with each passing second I stood there. Ignoring them altogether, headed right in.

Only a step inward darted me a sharp gaze from the spectacled nurse inside the nursery. Glaring right at me from her desk, she jerked her head sideways and gestured me to get out of there. Looking right at her for a moment, I decided to get some information about her before attempting to swipe the cameras off of Akane.

'What in the…' First time seeing a reason listed for the mood, as well as a minus-five rating I was a bit thrown off for a moment. 'Forget that, I need to think of a way to get her out of my way.'

Thinking of the first excuse that came to mind, I moved closer to the tired nurse. Her tired dark eyes and those disheveled violet hair were a true testament to how much she's just been through in one day. Thankfully, I was there to get rid of that responsibility even if for a moment.

"The sports teacher sent me, he sai-" The moment I mentioned the man, her eyes lit up like a headlight.

"Mr. Deji sent you?! Why?! Did he need something?!" She exclaimed, beaming a smile as blinding as the sun.

"Ye-yeah…" Regaining my composure, I decided to tune up the excuse a little before opening my mouth again. "Some of the kids got injured in the gymnasium, he told me to get you."

Focusing on her again as she jumped right out of her chair, what I noticed baffled my mind.

Subject Name: Kumori -(Last name none: Reason 'unknown')

Current mood: Rejuvenated

Love Meter Rating: +6 -(Infatuated)

Her mood and love meter rating towards me had completely turned on its axis. From tired to energetic, and from hostile to straight infatuation…The only way I could explain this sudden change was by the grace of true love.

"Okay okay okay, I'll go!" Talking to herself, she turned her attention back to me and exclaimed once more, "You stay here and look after the girl until I return!"

"Sure?" At this point, even I wasn't sure if I'd done the right thing by giving her false hope towards her love.

Watching her bolt out of the room, I made sure to shut the door behind her. Not wasting a second, I quickly went behind the curtained bed where Akane had been laid down. Pressing my hand against her temples, I could feel a fever running so hot it almost burned my fingers.

"Finally…" The voice of Mizuki coming in from behind trailed into my ears.

Ignoring her at the moment, however, I focused on retrieving the camera instead. Thankfully she was keeping it in her skirt's pocket, which although made me feel a bit uncomfortable to slip my hand into wasn't the worst that could've happened. Bagging the camera, I turned around for the demon behind me who had much to answer.

"She's running a damned fever, what the hell did you do to her?" I asked, my arms crossed in a display of discontent.

Glancing between me and Akane, Mizuki heaved a tired sigh before responding.

"You think she's in a bad state?" Moving towards the nurse's desk, she settled into her chair and turned her head back towards me. "Do you have any idea how much it hurts channeling monsters beyond our comprehension? Cause I do, and it fucking hurts! You should be worried about feeding me more negative emotions instead of that stupid girl running a stupid fever!"

I couldn't believe my ears. What she was saying to me cut deep into my heart's mantle. And it wasn't just hurt that I found there, bubbling underneath was scorching rage, making me want to end our deal right then and there.

"You're right I have no clue because I don't fucking care if you're hurt," replaying the moment she told me about placing my bloody fingers on the contract parchment, I was reminded why she deserved no sympathy. "So stop whining about food an-"

Noticing her lips crooked into a smile, I saw through her ruse.

"You bitch…" Intentionally riling me up, she was joyously feeding on my rage. I could even feel it slipping away by the second. "God damn, I hate you."

"That's a compliment to a demon, don't forget." she retorted.

"Fucking fine, just heal her if you're done feasting," with my anger drained, I felt a lot calmer, and somewhat more willing to let her cheekiness slide.

"Give me a second, I need my blood to cool down first," blowing cold wind in my direction, she kicked her feet up on the desk and had us both wait until she regained her strength.

'Hopefully, Mister Deji has a crush on the nurse too or we're risking a lot staying here.' Given the nurse's hostility before I made excuses about Deji, I wasn't looking forward to what she might do when she returned having learned that it was a lie.
