004. Tensai !

The next day was the first day of classes for the country's universities. Keijo had gotten up very early to take a bath and get into student condition. He took on his uniform, a tailored black suit with a shirt white and a tie that he has difficulty tying!

Keijo: (Facing the shower mirror while trying to tie his tie!) But what is this complicated thing? Is it ever going to come together or something? I can't do it! Chigau knew how to do it, however, and he told me that it was Nanao who taught him. Hey, speaking of Nanao, I wonder what will become of her now. I haven't even had the courage to go see her yet so she doesn't feel alone. In short, now is not the time to think about that; Today is my first day and I'm sure I'm going to have too much time with Professor Wazai!

Seeing that it was impossible for him to tie his tie correctly, Keijo decides to give up. He storms out of his apartment and heads to the bus stop. After about twenty minutes, Keijo finally arrives in front of the campus to located in the prestigious Shinjuku district; a gigantic barrier made entirely of concrete and a gate painted black in front of which two men also dressed in black suits were stationed.

Keijo: (Who comes running in front of the gate!) Um...Hello to you, I'm a student here and I have to come in please!

Man 1: What's the name?

Keijo: Keijo…Keijo Kendo!

One of the men checks Keijo's name on a list and after just three seconds, he tells him that there is no student known as Keijo Kendo!

Keijo: What do you mean there are no students with my name? It's impossible ! Look, I even have the uniform!

Man 2: Did you take the entrance exam?

Keijo: (Scratching his head!) Uh…that is to say whuuuh…

Erik: It's okay, you can let him in!

Keijo: (Smile of embarrassment!) It's just the right time...!

Man 1: Mr. Wazai!? It's understood sir!

Erik Wazai was on the wall of the gigantic barrier with his feet placed on it, his posture was completely perpendicular to the barrier. The two men guarding the big black gate did not think twice and directly let Keijo in and once When they let the young teenager in, Professor Wazai was already inside the school. The empty and very well-kept courtyard gave more of an image of a cemetery than of a student institution. The establishment was only composed only two large glass buildings on which A was written on the first and Z on the second which was a little further from the first by four levels of altitude each!

Keijo: (Walking behind Professor Wazai!) Are you serious? Is this really the great university of Tensai here?

Erik: Well yes, what did you expect?

Keijo: Well, the schools are teeming with students in all directions, right?

Erik: In principle. But Tensai is not a school like any other. It's a place, as you said so well yesterday, reserved for geniuses as they are known and officially accepted. And these are not people you find so easily on the streets. There are geniuses in Japan and the rest of the world and Tensai represents their headquarters.

Keijo: He even remembered something so trivial!?

While Professor Wazai was explaining to Keijo why the courtyard was empty, they arrived at an amphitheater on the first level of Building A and found six students sitting scattered around the large hall and in front of them, on the altar, were two adults, a man and a woman, seated on a long table with a red tablecloth, the man of which was wearing the standard uniform of the establishment: black suit + white shirt and black tie with a mini brain-shaped badge found on the left side of his chest and the woman seated to the left of the latter was also identically dressed but in a more feminine model!

Keijo: (Surprised!) Wow! There are really no people here!

Keijo looks around the room and sees Hari sitting on the third row of benches!

Keijo: Hey! But it's Hari, right? What is he doing there?

Erik: You can ask him directly. My colleagues are already waiting for me. Take it easy Keijo!

Erik Wazai disappears as usual and appears near the other people present on the altar!

Erik: It's okay, I'm here!

The man sitting on a chair stands up directly and gives way to Erik who sits down directly!

Erik: (Smiling!) Thank you very much Kandai.

Kandai: (Adjusting his glasses while smiling!) The pleasure is all mine, Professor Wazai!

??? : (In a woman's voice!) You're late Erik!

Erik: Come on, Sasha! I'm already here, no, let's not keep our dear new students waiting and let's start the ceremony quickly.

Sasha: (Sigh!) Really you then…!

Kandai: (Smiles!) I recognize Professor Wazai there!

Sasha: (Speaking into a microphone!) Hello to all dear new students. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on your success in this entrance exam, which is not very often easy for anyone, but has always been better than this year. We are sorry, but the administrative staff is not complete so that you can get to know everyone immediately. Anyway, I'm Sasha Amane, current Director of this school. This is certainly the first and last time you will see me in this position because the day we see each other again, it will be on the field. I will now brief you on our objectives for us Geniuses and G-ni*.

Keijo: (Who sits next to Hari!) You could have told me that evening that you came to see your results, right?

Hari: And you could have told me that you wanted to come in here too, right?

Keijo: It's too long a story, I'll explain everything to you later.

Hari: You better!

Sasha: Well, we can start. Two supra-human phenomena have been affecting humanity and particularly Japan for exactly a century now. This is in fact the first phenomenon that we called METAWAVES! This term designates the wave of people who since 1920 have been born with Intelligence Quotients beyond the ordinary. The second phenomenon was called EMOREVO and refers to the different metamorphoses that men undergo when overwhelmed by their negative emotions. These monsters charged with negative energies are what we call Emomonsters! The phenomenon grew as time passed and Japan, like certain other areas of the world, saw their populations drop considerably. Something had to be done to preserve our country and the entire world; This is how one of the greatest figures the world has known in the intellectual field came up with the idea of creating a school intended to train beings with an extraordinary IQ to master this boundless intelligence. Despite his character for making radical decisions without worrying about the consequences, he is considered the greatest genius history has known; his name is Juvenal Wazai.

Keijo: Wazai?

Hari: (Surprised!)…!?

Sasha: This man suggested to the Japanese government in 1926 to create an institution to train future generations of geniuses and fight against Emomonsters in order to protect the populations. But the primary objective of this institution must have been to discover the origin of the EMOREVO phenomenon! Tensai was then operational for the first time on October 11, 1930; Exactly 90 years ago today. That will be all for the overall presentation and I hope for your sake that you took notes because it was your first class: History and Objectives of this school.

Keijo: (In a low voice!) I don't believe it, is she now telling us it was a class? And besides, where do we take notes?

Hari: Look ahead.

Keijo looks at the table that he had not looked at since his arrival and notices that in front of each student are a Tensai brand tablet and a stylus of the same brand.

Keijo: Oops, I didn't see!

Hari: Why did Mr. Wazai come here with you? What are you playing ?

Keijo: And you then, why did you lie to me that you were a mercenary employed by the highest bidder to kill Emomonsters?

Hari: My life is none of your business, stupid!

Keijo: Well, it's the same with mine too!

Hari: Anyway I will find out what you are hiding.

Keijo: Have fun, feel free to delve into other people's lives! When I think that in this weather, you could get an F cup in a hostel!

Sasha: Good. I will leave you with your main teacher, the one who will be in charge of you throughout this academic year. We'll leave them to you, Erik.

Erik: That's perfect.

The other two members of the Tensai staff exit the lecture hall and leave Professor Erik Wazai with the new first-year students!

Erik: Hello to you, dear students; my name is Erik Wazai, full professor here and I will be in charge of you during this year. Before we start anything, I would like everyone to introduce themselves. I will call out the name of each of you, he will say where he comes from and give his motivation(s) for choosing to become a G-ni! We begin ! Chusei Chujitsu?

A man in his thirties, dressed in a school uniform, stands up abruptly!

Chusei: (Standing up with a military step!) Present sir!

Erik: Weeeelll! Tell us Chusei, where are you from and what made you want to become G-ni?

Chusei: I come from the Shikoku region, precisely from Ehime and if I decided to put my genius into action to fight against the Emomonsters, it is only because Japan is losing its value and cannot is no longer what it was; laws are no longer respected as in the past. My one and only goal is to make the constitution of this country heard again as it was before all these misfortunes happened!

Erik: Well, it's a noble goal. Kodo Ishi?

A boy dressed only in the white shirt and black pants of the school uniform, with the shirt sleeves rolled up; burly and marked on all sides, gets up from his chair while picking his teeth!

Kodo: (Who is picking his teeth!) Personally, I just want to blow up these creatures. I have no particular problem with them like the grandfather of our class; it's ridiculous to give yourself boring goals that you'll never be sure of achieving; so I just prefer to blow them all up to pass the time.

Erik: (Who smiles!) I see…! Keijo Kendo?

Keijo: (Surprised!) Huh? Me ?

Erik: Of course. We are listening to you.

Keijo: I only want to become G-ni because...well, I promised it to someone!

Everyone looks at him with a look of surprise and feeling uncomfortable, Keijo quickly sits back down!

Kodo: Well, if that's the only reason, you're not going to last long here! Life is not about fulfilling people's wishes, but about doing what you want; get that into your head, little guy!

Erik:…! Evana Kosui?

A young beautiful girl stands up from her seat, her black jacket was buttoned orthodoxly and her black skirt which was limited above her knees showed her smooth and fine white skin. Her long Chinese haircut and her icy gaze testified to his fervor and his sense of order!

Keijo: (Looking at Evana!) Wow! What a beauty this girl is!

Hari: Tsss! Stay focused, she will never want a guy like you.

Keijo: (Who makes faces at Hari!) Gnê Gnê Gnê! I asked you for your opinion perhaps?

Evana: I am from the kanto and my one and only goal is to rid the land of Emomonsters. That's all for me.

Keijo: I love his goal! His way of thinking is perfect.

Hari: Basically, there aren't too many differences with what Kodo said.

Keijo: It's clear that Kodo is going to go about it brutally, you saw the way he behaves in class right; while she, I am sure that she will kill the Emomonsters gently!

Erik: Hari Kotsubaki?

Hari: I'm from Ibaraki in the kanto. The one and only reason I signed up here is personal. So, if you don't blame me, I'd rather not talk about it.

Keijo: So we're mysterious now?

Hari: Shut up, it was better than your presentation anyway.

Keijo: Yeah, that's it!

Erik: Akihiko Kuma?

Akihiko: Uh...I'm Akihiko and if I'm here it's because...well...I...I...I want to preserve the animal race from the EMOREVO phenomenon!

The room was speechless after hearing the reason why young Akihiko Kuma decided to become G-ni!

Keijo: (Open mouth!) Is he serious?

Hari: (Surprised!) Finally someone more weird than you; what a big discovery!

Keijo: I heard you huh!

Erik: And finally, Hime Momoi?

Hime: (Excited!) Present!

Keijo: This one is rich in energy!

Hime: The reason I decided to go down this path is that I'm looking for a virile and intelligent boyfriend so that our children will be perfect!

Keijo & Hari: (Fooled!) What is the madness!?

Erik: (Getting up from his seat!) It's perfect! I saw your different intellects and you briefed me each on their motivations even if certain motivations made me completely stupid; It's time for your first lesson with me; we're going to do an aptitude test.

All: Huh?

Erik: (Smiles!) I want to see who has the best control of their intellect and who doesn't use it properly. Here we go !
