Proxima - Judgment of the Endless

In the dimly lit corners of the world, where shadows dance with flickering candlelight, a man sits alone, burdened by the weight of his experiences. He has walked the knife's edge between good and evil, his footsteps echoing through the annals of time. A millennia wandering in the precipice between reality and the untold horrors that lie beyond the boundaries of mortal comprehension. They call him the Grey Wanderer, for he has witnessed both the best and worst of humanity. His eyes have gazed upon breath taking beauty, yet also stared into the abyss. With every tale he shares, the line between hero and villain blurs, for he understands that the path to darkness begins with a single step, and even the noblest souls may falter. This is a story, no, a tale of Darius 'Morpheus' Nightshade.

Chapter 4: A funny situation isn't it

"So where do I begin," said Darius, a hand stroking hi non existent beard and the other hidden in his robes.

"Preferably from the beginning if that's alright with you." T'Chaka wanted to know everything. As a king, father and husband he needed to know what this being was and what its intentions were in coming to earth, in Wakanda no less.

"The beginning eyy? That's something I don't think you're quite ready for yet Mr King. Let's start with something more suited to your level."

Darius went on to tell them about waking up from his great slumber and deciding to go on a journey. However, the path that lead him to earth was not of his choosing nor control.

He explained what occurred for him to crash into the barrier something the royal family thought was an invasion. Darius further explained why he 'chose' to go on a journey in the first place.

"To live," he said.

The King and prince wondered what he meant by that. Maybe it implied that he was tired of sleeping and wanted to witness human civilisation. Or maybe it meant up until now Darius did not 'live' a notable life and wanted to start anew.

Theories formed in the Kings mind. Looking at Darius' attitude and behaviour T'Chaka settled on the latter.

Of course Darius omitted a lot of details, like his past before his slumber, his father and creator and most importantly he never touched the topic concerning his true power or what he was.

All he said was, "I have seen mankind come to be and destroy itself multiple times. They require not my judgement anymore." Leading the royal family to believe he was an all powerful god who decided to descend onto earth. There have been records of gods doing so in the distant past.

"From what you have said is it wrong to presume that all you wish to do is live a normal life one beheft of you godly duties?" T'Chaka said. He wasn't far from the truth either, it wouldn't be wrong to say he was on point.

"Haha, you could say that, although I would appreciate it if did not refer to me as a god. They are beneath me in power and status." Darius made it clear he was not going to divulge what or who he was.

More questions popped up in the trios minds but there was one thing they were certain about, Darius was someone they would not like to mess with. That bright smile of his was something one shouldn't be fooled with.

"Aww would you look at that, the tea is finished. And it was good too," Darius' expression was crest fallen, like a child who just finished some very tasty candy. "Oh well, it was bound to happen, considering how deep you throats seem to be hahahaha."

Hearing Darius' burst of laughter the aforementioned culprits averted their gazes. It was true, the trio of royalty had guzzled down multiple cups of the heavenly tea.

They couldn't help it, Darius' melodious voice, his way of telling a captivating story added with their own raging nerves from sitting in such close proximity to him pushed them to keep on drinking. They didn't even recall drinking so many cups of the delicious tea but looking around them and on the table they couldn't deny his claims.

*Cough*

"Ehem, thank you for your hospitality and the wonderful tea," king T'Chaka said with a shame filled voice, seemingly absorbed in staring at the ground. As a king he had an image to uphold and expected to be of the best behaviour, but with Darius' words he felt shame.

He wondered what he looked like downing all those cups of tea.

"No, thank you for the hospitality. It is your land after all, must be sacred from all this energy I sense underground," Darius said with his hand dug into the ground. Nobody knew for how long or when he even put it in there.

"Mmm this energy seems to be running through all of you, from your clothes to your equipment. The majority of which seems to running through your very veins," he said, his gaze fixed on the king as if dissecting him with his very eyes.

T'Chaka had a trail of sweat running down his forehead, he felt naked as knew born baby as if Darius could see every nook and cranny of his body. He shuddered at the thought.

Curious, Darius moved his gaze onto Shuri intending to see if that same energy ran through her too. However, the moment his head turned to look at Shuri, King T'Chaka, current Black Panther nearly had a heart attack and with speed not befitting someone his age, he appeared in front of his daughter.

His arms were spread in a protective manner, his heart racing and trails of sweat dribbling down his forehead. Darius was confused by this development at first and tilted his head a little, that's when a light bulb went off in his head.

"Ohhh~ Hahaha hahaha haha haaaaaa."

He burst into yet another fit of laughter, one louder than the previous one. Shuri was dumbfounded at the comical development until she put two and two together, from Darius' penetrative gaze on her father, to him turning his attention onto her and her fathers sudden protective stance. It all came together in one fare swoop.

A blush crept onto her face and her hands rushed cover her most intimate parts. She sunk further behind her father despite not being a small child anymore.

Darius howled with laughter for a few moments before he begun coughing from swallowing a bug that seemed drawn to mouth.

"*Cough* Haaa~, Sorry for the misunderstanding, I have no interest in peeking at your daughter. I have manners you know. And you standing in front of her doesn't change a thing, my eyes are all seeing," he said with an amused smile on his face.

"It seems you are the only one here who has that blueish energy in you, is it not genetic or is it a result of you drinking the products from that flower over in that direction," he said pointing in a specific direction that led to the garden that housed the Heart-shaped herb.

T'Chala was alarmed to hear this, he snapped his head towards his father to see what his reaction was. He was surprised to see him with a calm and collected face as if he didn't just hear an outsider uncover one of their most secret and well guarded treasures to date.

"Come down T'Chala," the king said," You've heard the mans story, you should expect him to know more than he should with those all seeing eyes of his."

"HA, truly deserving to be a king, well composed even in this situation. *Chuckle* Although you had such an outrageous reaction to me merely gazing at your daughter, haha."

T'Chaka averted his gaze again, not bearing the embarrassment he felt. Shuri was still trying to hide behind her father as if a very bad man was coming to get her.

Despite all her knowledge and expertise in everything science and her own age, she was still a young girl at heart. It didn't help that Darius was devilishly handsome.

"My King, prince, should we not be heading back to the palace now that all has been resolved between you. It is not good for 3 members of the royal family to be this close to the border and just 1000metres short of the Jabari tribe."

After who knows how long, Okoye made her presence known again. Listening to his captains advice, the king couldn't help but agree.

Despite having an advantage of numbers and technology, T'Chaka wanted to avoid a confrontation with the Jabari tribe for his own personal reasons. Their current king was a brute, a war mongering brute who wouldn't hesitate to wage war on the other 4 Tribes just because he stepped foot in his territory.

M'Daku Oga Udaku was a fearsome foe even for him. His title as the Gorilla of J'Abariland was bestowed upon him by the previous Panther as a testament to his strength and ruthlessness.

[A/N: M'Daku is my own character, I donno M'Baku's father and right now he is too young to be king so I had to compromise, wont be an recurring character though]

"Back to the palace! Notify the council we bring a guest," T'Chaka commanded. The soldiers that had previously gathered all returned to the air ship in an orderly and disciplined manner, spears tucked at their sides.

The trio of royalty followed close behind with Darius just following right behind them, spears pointed directly to his throat, heart, spine and even crotch.

Darius shook his head at the behaviour of the bald women, especially the one with a spear to his crotch.

'Trust can't be earned through a cup of tea I suppose, how rude,' he thought.

'If even one of those spears touches my tool, you better pray to your ancestors.' The Dora Milaje seemed to sense his thoughts evidenced by how they all shuffled back a few feet from him.
