Chapter 4

Sapphira entered the water stream, she stops before going to the black portal smiles sadly but didn't look back and then she vanished into the other side.

Drew close his eyes and sighs tiredly. So many things have happen. So many events transpired, he was so tired physically, mentally and emotionally. The thing is he is not that involved yet he was this tired what more of the Demon Princess who have suffered yet strongly and brave the odds.

He kneels down and picks up the petals from Beautiful Sapphira. Sapphira have them, must be Winter's gift to her mother. A remain of the Beautiful Sapphira flower. He plays with it with his hands and then the face of a young vibrant full of life, prankster, proud and loves to tease version of Sapphira appears from his mind.

Ria.

I am sorry Ria. I am so sorry.

'Why my Sage? Why are you saying sorry?' the question comes from the enigmatic and powerful Demon God sitting on the top of one of the forbidden boxes. He looks and William was sitting at Sapphira's box.

'Because I feel responsible… and I am seeing Ria again. Of what happen thousand of years ago, of seeing Sapphira lost the fire in her eyes.

William stands and touches his Daikenja's head. Pats it affectionately and sighs.

He knows what his Daikenja is referring to.

'Is it wise? Are we doing the right thing?' For the first time, the Daikenja known for his merciless and wisdom asks the Great One. Something that you'll never hear from him.

'I have made the right decision.'

Drew looks at the Great One's spirit – he smirks, an angry smirks.

'Decision… Right decision?' He emphasized the last word. 'You know. I always wanted to ask you… why? Why Sapphira?! Why her desendant again?! I know that Sapphira as the direct descendant of Ria inherits the key – but why?! Why did you make her as Vince's fiancé?!'

Drew, the Soukoku no Daikenja looks at the Great King with contempt.

William looks into the beautiful glaring onyx eyes.

Because it is her destiny.

William, Sapphira's mission, you planned it.' Drew said, he didn't ask nor accused the Blonde Great Original King.

'I didn't plan Sapphira asking for my help on renouncing the engagement.'

'Didn't you?'

I may be lot of things but Sapphira have and will always have my protection.

'What do you mean by that?'

Time will tell My Sage. For now, that is all I can say.

Drew stared hard at William's serious and mysterious face. He can't fathom William's words and features. He may be the Daikenja – but William as the Great One still can hide so many things from him.

He looks at the closing portal again. And remembers the determined look of Sapphira.

Please be safe Sapphira, my beloved friend. The last words are hanging in the air. William looks at his Sage silently and smiles sadly.

Switzerland. Earth

Sapphira emerged from the water portal. She shivered a little when the wind hits her body. The lake then returns to its original wave and color.

She looks up and was greeted with familiar faces.

Welcome home Sapphira. Cloud said to her. Shee smiles at that. Cloud said 'Welcome home.' But where is home?

Hello Lady Sapphira. Sharon approaches her with robe and a towel. The human woman dons her with a robe and dried her hair. She blushes, she felt like a kid. And she hears a sweet sounding chuckle, 'Best not to let you get cold.'

'Thank you.'

They walk towards the castle-like mansion of Bob, the Maou of Earth.

'Here Sappbira, put these dry clothes.' Cloud handed him Earth clothes when they entered the castle. She went to one of the rooms Sharon showed her. She discards her standard uniform and carefully folded them. She looks at the Earth clothes. White long sleeves polo like her under polo uniform and dark blue pants. Just like Vince's. And she looks at the weird looking undies. She held it up, it isn't the usual Royal black underwear. Though it has the same color it doesn't have any strings, and then there's also one short shorts Vince called boxers. She shrugged her shoulders. She will learn them one by one.

She slips on the clothes and exits the room. Cloud and Sharon look at each other and look at her.

'Something wrong?' she asked. The two looks weird.

'Uhm… nothing. Let's go upstairs, Bob and the others are waiting for you.' Cloud told her and they lead the way while Sapphira follows behind.

'My God Cloud! She looks so beautiful!' Sharon whispered to Cloud, not wanting to be heard.

Yeah! I thought I'm used seeing her. but her wearing Earth clothes really shock me to the core.'

Cloud cant believe it. He thought that Sapphira looks pretty because she is a Demon and wearing that soldier uniform. But Sapphira wearing Earth's clothes made him feel stupid. 'Why didn't I see that before?!' he asked himself. And wonders why his younger brother didn't see that. Well Vince has a new fiancé and somewhat he feels responsible to Sapphira.

When Sapphira emerged from the lake, he still couldn't believe it. Drew, his brother's friend told him that Sapphira will be the Royal Ambassador of Shin Empire and Earth – he couldn't believe it for even one second. Sapphira?! The Sapphira – Wagamama Puu?! The hotheaded, jealous-possessive-fire-wielding-demon is to live here on Earth?! What happen?!

Then Drew told him the events that happen in Shin Empire. That William renounced their engagement and without even the day being over – Vince introduced them to Lady Jasmine . A half- demon noble woman.

He was still shocked and hardly believing it – Drew told him that even him have a hard time believing that Sapphira take everything with a smile and bows politely to the lady.

He was mad at William, when he asked Drew why William dissolve the engagement. William only told them all: Lady Sapphira's purpose is no more. She served her purpose being the most loyal protector of King Vince. There is no longer need for them to be engaged.'

What the hell did he think of Sapphira?! A useable clothes? That once served its purpose ready to be thrown and discard?!

Drew, that blasted Daikenja agrees with William, saying that they don't need to be with each other and they need to be free from each other and find their own happiness. And with the looks of it – his younger brother have found that happiness when still engaged to the Demon Princess.

He looks back and sees Sapphira looking at the glass mirror. Eyeing the vast greenery of the land. But he can see his eyes… emotionless… empty…

Where is the fire in them little one?

He sighs angrily at the people of Shin Empire especially at Ender. He have time to fawns over his little brother Vince – but doesn't give a damn about his own little sister who seems to have been secretly suffering?! And how about that stoic-looking giant?! He thought that Carl will be more angrier – because the man likes CUTE THINGS and Sapphira for him is far the cutest. He's been to Shin Empire many times but he never have seen any one cuter or prettier – and now his opinion change – he have never seen any one as beautiful as the Demon Princess.

And when he thinks again how Sapphira handle everything with maturity astonished him and he felt a warm certain feelings towards the Demon Princess. Beautiful and proud… and lonely. He feels like a father and a brother to the abandoned little one.
