Will Jason be able to survive the days until he can carve out a home for himself? Progenitor Sovereign Saga, Blood Feud is the first book in the Progenitor series. Watch as Jason becomes death incarnate and channels his demons into killing all who dare to oppose him reclaiming his rightful place as ruler. This is the first novel I have written, and if you like it you can also check out Summoners Dilemma, another book in a separate series that is also a part of the Progenitor saga. Once the book is finished, I will have the updated version with all errors removed published on Amazon, and will also have concept art added to some chapters, along with quotes for the chapters leading up to chapter 14.

Proving ground

"Ok students, today is the day of your placement tests! This will decide what school block you are all in, and your school rating. The higher the number the stronger you are, and the more opportunities you will have at this school. Along with that, the people who are in the top 10 spots are allowed any private tutor that they wish to have."

"However this placement testing is not final, and can change at any moment! Along with the entrance test, there will be two other tests that will happen in the middle of the school year, and at the end, your finals. In between their tests you can announce Duels against other students, competing for their place."

"Ok I will now start calling out students one by one. The first test is one on one combat dueling, no magic allowed."

"The dueling partners will be… Druner and Jason, Derik and Adam, Aris and Drunia, Kun and Envy, Darius and Warcoth, …"

Looking over towards Druner, I quickly came to the realization that the spoiled noble that I had bet was in fact Druner. Thinking about it I decided that it might actually be a fitting name for him, since he was a big guy, and ripped too.

Walking towards the arena, I stepped up the flight of stairs and entered the arena.

"Ok, The rules of the duel are as follows. No killing, not any lethal damage. Magic is allowed and encouraged"

Fight!

Stomping a foot behind me I shot forward with a spray of splinters as the arena cracked from the impact.

With a feral grin, Druner lifter his hand and slammed it down to the ground, followd by a bolt of lightning that infused his body, making him incorporial like pure energy and extremely fast.

Stopping where I was, I decided that this battle had just been stepped up a notch, and everyone knew that, for even though the teacher said no lethal force, this was anything but a lethal power. One wrong mode and my brain would get instantly fried like an egg.

"That is enough!" The instructor said, but instead of stopping, Druner sped up.

"This filthy peasant dared to look down on me, a noble. He must have his due punishment!" he screeched.

Holding out my hand I pictured Elesia becoming a sword in my hand. As I did frost bored from the center of my chest and down my arm, coating it in ice, until it reached my hand, where a blade of marbled white steel formed.

I am taking this form so as to not cause suspicion. Due to your fight with the demons you are at large, and people are trying to find the famous sorcerer that called himself the 'The Bloods Wraith'. If you were to use the form that you used while battling the demon here, it would surely spell disaster for your cover. Seleste said into my mind.

Dashing forward I brought the sword down to meet with Drunars clawed hand. As the electricity arked out from him seeking a way to injure me, it was immediately attracted to the sword in my hand, then nullified by the ice.

"This ends here, Drunar" I said in a firm tone, before enhancing my body with wind essence and flashing behind him, where I pummeled the back of his neck.

Falling to the floor the electricity faded, leaving an unconscious boy in its wake.

Leaning down I used my blood powers to wake him up, before whispering into his ear;

"You should grovel when met with the king of gods, yet instead you demand I respect you and your petty family. Do so again however and I will ensure that the only thing you can brag about is how you got your family massacred.

With that he left the limp kid, and walked off the stage to start his new life.
