Progenitor Sovereign Saga

Looking down upon those Who dare look up to high Is the sin of man When Jason Bloodswrite is taken through trials to become an adventurer for the kingdom at a young age, things start to go awry quickly as all hell breaks loose and the prophecy that was told eons ago starts to happen. Will Jason be able to survive the days until he can carve out a home for himself? Progenitor Sovereign Saga, Blood Feud is the first book in the Progenitor series. Watch as Jason becomes death incarnate and channels his demons into killing all who dare to oppose him reclaiming his rightful place as ruler. This is the first novel I have written, and if you like it you can also check out Summoners Dilemma, another book in a separate series that is also a part of the Progenitor saga. Once the book is finished, I will have the updated version with all errors removed published on Amazon, and will also have concept art added to some chapters, along with quotes for the chapters leading up to chapter 14.

Do they want a show? I'll give them a show!

"Booooooo!" The crowd yelled down at him, clearly upset at the anticlimactic ending that the battle had.

"Ooh, and it looks like Josh the barbarian has been brutally killed in an anticlimactic way! If those kids want out, they better find a better way to please the crowd!" A man yelled from a booth, clearly being the announcer.

'Fine, if it's a show they want, then it's a show they will get!' Jason told himself as he wrapped an arm around the shocked Drunia and led her to the far wall where she should be safe.

"And for the next opponent, we have a... hellhound!" The man in the booth announced, making me wonder if he could tell that we were in that room before we actually made ourselves present.

Out of the gate on the far side of the arena, a wolf similar to the one that we saw in the maze came excited and walked onto the dirt field. Instead of looking like a normal giant hound, however, this one looked like it was wreathed in crimson flames, and seemed to ooze evilness.

It looked at me, before breathing smoke out its nose, before scratching the ground, leaving burning, sparking furrows in the dirt. Gathering shadows, I wrapped myself with them in an attempt to make myself harder to track

[Congratulations: You have developed the ability: Manifest Armor]

{Manifest armor allows you to shape and mold mana and essence into a tangible layer around you, taking the form of armor usually, but can also form swords, shields, and battle gauntlets.}

All of a sudden the shadows that were wrapped around me condensed, before becoming a physical midnight-colored robe that seemed to bend the light around it, becoming one with its surroundings.

Letting out a howl, The hellhound dashed towards me, opening its infernal jaw to try and latch onto my side and take me down.

Using shadow teleport I appeared behind the wolf, before drawing the dagger that I took from the armory and imbuing it with blood essence and shadow essence. One thing that I realized is that even abilities and skills were like a hot button, while your typical abilities allowed more flexibility, with a trade of having to focus more.

'primordial shadow blood!'

Stabbing the dagger into the wolf's flank before it could react, a black and viscous substance bled from the blade like tears, flooding the wound that it inflicted and making it so that it couldn't close. Black veins spread down the wolf's body, spreading like poison until they trailed to its head. When it reached its brain, the mutt dropped dead.

Rising to my feet, after collapsing a second before. I looked around at the stadium. From one of the VIP seats, A man was standing and screaming at a lady who seemed to be cowering before him, before they both left the VIP box, a retinue of guards following closely behind.

As I turned to face the highest box, I saw a kid with a small crown atop his head pressing his face to the glass while seeming to be excited and talking to a man behind him, who appeared to be the king of the city.

The man, who appeared to be the king, looked directly into Jasons, eyes, then shook his head sadly, before lipping the words "Gods forgive our insolence and do not take vengeance on those of us who have done nothing wrong. Protect this child, so that all of us may live to see another day."

And with that, the king turned, grabbed his daughter, and left the box in a hurry.
