"Lady Wyl! Lady Wyl!" A servant runs to Lady Wyl's solar, bursts inside and the Lady is startled.

Lady Wyl's solar is a large room with a desk on one side with bookcases behind it, windows made of colored glass on one wall, and a fireplace with a sofa, two chairs, and a table in front of it.

"What's this ruckus?!"

"Urgent news from the scouts!"

"And? Speak!" Lady Wylla Wyl calms her anger but she is still very impatient.

"Ser Damon is back!" The servant breathes heavily, Lady Wyl rises from her desk and heads out of the solar.

"Where is he? And my younger cousin?"

The servant does not know how to answer but tells her that Ser Damon is in the stables.

Lady Wyl snorts and walks toward the stables, her guards following close behind.

"Why did you just let him burst into my solar?" She questions them.

"W- well you told us that the news from the explorers has priority" The guards move uncomfortably. "And well...we, I mean-"

"Idiots, you can't let anyone burst in my solar like that!" Lady Wyl interrupts them. "Next time knock on the door." She mutters something about incompetent brutes.

Arriving at the stables they see Ser Damon sitting in a chair with a drink in his hand, he is breathing heavily and covered in sweat. Lady Wyl notices that his shoulder is bleeding.

"What happened ser Damon? Where is my cousin?"

"My lady." Ser Damon shakes his head. "We were attacked, your cousin- Ser Willas died an honorable death."

Lady Wyl's expression hardens and she turns to one of her guards.

"Call the maester, I have a letter to write." She turns to Ser Damon "Have your wound treated, and then come to my solar and tell me everything."

She walks to her solar with her fists clenched and her teeth neighing.

'Damn barbarians'

"Did you send for me my lady?"

"Yes Master, I have to write a letter to Sunspear."

"Sunspear my lady?"

"Yes, House Wyl is going to war."

***

In Sunspear Doran is sitting on the ground with several sheets of paper in front of him.

"Swans and then wolves." He mutters as he draws.

"/ What are you doing, snake prince? /" Salazar snakes up beside him and wraps around his neck.

He lowers his head and sees his prince draw something.

"Pairs of drawings." Doran half ignores him and continues drawing with the charcoal. "Charcoal, inks and quills. That's all I have at my disposal. What I would give for a few pencils." Ever since he reincarnated in this world, Doran has made a list of inventions that he wants to introduce. Indoor plumbing is at the top of the list and now pens and pencils have just surpassed it in importance.

"/ But why? /" The snake looks at him puzzled, his prince does a lot of weird things from his perspective. He normally doesn't bother to ask why but today he's especially bored. The two little preys, which he can't eat because they belong to his prince, he often plays with are sick.

`Preys are weak` Salazar is bored, he wants to do something but his prince is busy doing some stupid nonsense.

"To entertain Lewyn and Mors."

Lewyn and Mors have indigestion, they ate too much candy, and now they're paying the price. Doran warned them but the princes did not listen, Doran felt bad for their suffering but there is not much he can do to take away their pain.

`What I can do is create or rather recreate a game to entertain and distract them from the pain` he sticks out his tongue in concentration and continues drawing.

Once he has drawn pairs of different things, from weapons and fruits to animals, he takes a pair of scissors and cuts the paper into small rectangles somewhat larger than his palm. In each rectangle there is something drawn.

He collects all his cards in a pile and runs to his room, where both sick princes are resting.

Salazar returns to his pillow in the sun.

The three children practically live in the same room. Mors doesn't like being away from his brother so when Doran got old enough to leave the nursery and have his own room the little prince threw a tantrum.

In the end, Doran agreed to let his little brother sleep with him a few nights so that he could get used to the new normal, that of not sharing a room. Those 'some nights' became 'every night'.

Doran doesn't mind sharing a room. Anyway, his room is huge! Bigger than the entire first floor of the Dursley house. He has a huge bed more suitable for three adults than for a toddler, his own study area with several shelves full of books and a desk, his play area with several chests full of toys and a fluffy rug...

Lewyn started to feel a bit jealous so Doran decided to have several sleepovers so he wouldn't feel left out.

Doran's room ended up becoming the headquarters of the trio of princes.

Once in his room, Doran gathers the two children on the fluffy rug and places the cards on the floor.

"Look carefully, memorize the cards." After a few moments he turned them over so that the pictures were not showing, "Now you have to find the pairs. You have one try if you don't pick two pairs you lose and it is the next person's turn. If you pick a pair you win a point."

Lewyn understands the game but the younger prince seems to have difficulties understanding it so

Doran explains it in a different way. Once Mors finally understands the game, the three begin to play.

And that's how princess Obella finds them a while later.

The princess looks at the three children on the floor in front of several pieces of paper with what she thinks are drawings on them. She walks over and watches the game.

"I've never seen this game before."

"It's called Twins, Doran created it for us!" Lewyn exclaims with more energy than he should have given his illness. Mors nods and Doran smiles at his mother.

"Good afternoon mama."

"Good afternoon sweetling" Obella kisses each child on the forehead and sits next to Mors, between him and Lewyn. By now she knows that sitting between her children will only lead the youngest into an uproar.

`Mors adores his brother, and the feeling is more than mutual` she looks proudly at her firstborn.

The game he has created is not complicated but Obella sees Doran's purpose: he wants to keep the children entertained and happy while they recover.

`What an attentive heir I have, and an artistic one as well.` She observes that the drawings are very well done. She already knows that her son is a genius when it comes to intellectual matters and now it seems that Doran is also a talented artist.

`If only we could stay like this forever` The princess thinks sadly. She remembers the letter her mother received from House Wyl a few moments ago. `War...`
