Primordial Eyes

Jone, when he lived on earth, was a handsome young man who, for traumatic reasons as a child, lived in his locked house, living melancholically. Because he was blind in both eyes, he felt he would never see the beautiful side of life. And because of that, he made no effort to do anything and deeply regretted it. When he died and woke up in the body of a fifteen-year-old boy in another world where powerful cultivators, mystical beings, and divine races lived, he decided to live his new life as he wanted and without regrets. Right when he woke up, he discovered that in this new world, his eyes were now special, they carried great powers but were extremely difficult to control, and they had great seals that locked away something that this world had long forgotten. Blue Crystal Tree

At this point, Jone had already been in the cave for quite some time.

"Hehe, It seems like what I thought worked," Jone smirked presumptuously as he followed the cave's roots.

"It's coming from there, what could it be?" Jone felt his left eye pulsating excitedly.

As soon as he broke the formation, Jone sensed the mysterious aura of the cave, and his left eye began to feel as if something were calling to it.

He remembered this sensation; the same had happened when Jone saw a beast dead for the first time. That sensation of wanting to devour something.

Sensing this, Jone quickly thought, and when the light became immense and covered his body, Jone leaped into the cave while everyone was focused on the formation.

When the light disappeared and the formation was completely broken, he had already entered the cave and was swiftly running along the path.

Soon, Jone saw a light at the end of the cave and quickly reached it, stepping out, a light fell on his face.

Jone sighed deeply, gazing at what lay ahead.

"Incredible, how can such a tree exist?" Jone spoke as he beheld an immense blue tree, its leaves resembling glass crystals, with large, incredibly alluring fruits atop.

'This is incredibly beautiful.' As Jone admired the tree, his left eye began to pulse rapidly, and soon an invisible energy from his left eye was released beyond his control.

As soon as it touched one of the tree's massive roots, it began to be completely consumed, and the tree started detaching from the ground, rapidly being sucked into his eye.

The entire tree began to shrink rapidly as all the vital energy from the tree was completely refined and transformed by his left eye.

The abundantly transformed energy quickly divided into three parts—one part concentrated in his dantian while another strengthened his entire body.

'So that's why, yes, I should have imagined it. My eyes devour everything considered alive.'

While Jone pondered, he felt his dantian expanding again, and soon his cultivation advanced to the 7° phase of the Qi Foundation Realm. However, contrary to what Jone imagined, his cultivation didn't continue to increase.

'What's happening?'

Earlier in the mountains, Jone noticed that in his dantian, his energy, originally gray, was gradually turning darker, nearing black, as he devoured more beasts. But he thought it was normal.

He didn't feel much difference before, but it seemed there was something wrong, and it wasn't good. Now, when the energy from the tree entered his dantian, his energy balanced again and returned to its gray color.

That's why he easily broke through the realm.

Jone then sent a bit of the energy in his dantian to his hand and felt his strength.

"I hadn't noticed before, but it's easier to use now. I can control the energy correctly. It seems I won't be able to cultivate just by absorbing beasts in the future."

"It seems it will be more complicated than I thought, but wait, what happened to the rest?"

Jone saw that only a part of the energy concentrated in his dantian for energy balance, and a part enhanced the strength of his body, just like his right eye improved his blood.

But most of it went to another unknown place; Jone felt that a substantial portion simply vanished into his body.

"It can't have disappeared; it was probably used for something I don't yet understand."

"Tsk, I still don't have enough information about cultivation and this world. I need to get out of this place quickly."

As Jone spoke to himself, the tree was still being devoured, and it would take a few more minutes for it to be completely devoured due to its size.

"Quick, run! That bastard deceived us; he probably wants the fruits for himself. Don't let him escape!" The old witch shouted, extremely irritated, running at an extreme speed, leaving the disciples behind, and only the other two elders managed to keep up with her.

After entering the cave, there was only one path with many roots everywhere, and they soon spotted a distant light in the cave.

"We'll reach there in a few minutes; I can see the exit," the old witch said, but suddenly one of the elders stopped abruptly.

"What happened?" the old witch asked.

"The roots, look."

Elder Wu and the old witch then realized that the roots were being pulled by something extremely fast. Soon, the final tip of the roots passed swiftly beside them toward the end of the cave.

The three glanced at each other and said nothing, but they ran at full speed, not thinking about anything. Their Qi was entirely focused on their legs as they propelled themselves using their movement techniques as fast as they could.

In moments, they reached the end and then saw something that left them stunned.

Before them stood a boy, and all the remaining roots of the tree, completely larger than him, were being entirely sucked into his eyes.

It was something they had never seen or imagined could exist in their lives.

"How? How is this possible?" Elder Wu asked as the last root was completely devoured by Jone.

"You bastard, what the hell did you do to my blue crystal tree? I'll kill you!" The old witch suddenly shouted, leaping toward Jone.
