Chapter 15:Analysis and upgrading

The next day Red surprisingly did not wake up to his daily routine instead he stayed in his courtyard not standing an inch out of it,this surprised the people that Fred had sent to monitor all of Red's movement so they could only go back to report this to Fred. Inside of Red's courtyard he had his eyes closed in the meditation room as he was meditating and trying to study his Truename 'Abysmason' he was studying it along with how to control the ability it gave him. Other people would think that the ability Red's Truename gave him was not fit for him since he was no warrior ,he was only a mage so the ability had no use for him since mages were frail and couldn't fight,they always needed to be protected by warriors.

After a short while Red's eyes snapped open as he got up then he walked out of the meditation room then went to the simulation room where he started to practice his spells. Red was particularly good with lightning and fire spells so he wanted to horn them to his best abilities ,its not as if Red sucked at other offensive spells its just that he liked the lightning and fire spells more since they were more destructive and berserk in nature so Red wanted to train them to the very last and make them the best of the best. Currently Red could only use level four spells ,right now Red was sitting cross legged studying a lightning ball scroll.

He was studying how his magic converted into the lightning ball and how much it would be effective, he wanted to reduce how much mana would take him to create to it not only did he want to reduce the man's input but he wanted to increase the output and make the spell more effective. His gifts of Truth and Wisdom were already eliminating some patterns in the lightning ball scroll ,it was eliminating the patterns that increased mana input but made the spell output weak. He had good memory so he didn't need to to anything with a pen what he only did was to record all the information into his mind.

After wiping out the unneeded patterns in the lightning ball spell Red once more started to look for a way to add a pattern that decreased mana input ,he did not need to add any pattern for the spell output because once he removed the patterns that increased mana input but decreased the spell output, the lightning ball spell had very destructive output which would be comparable to a level four spell,the reasons those patterns of increased mana input were added was because if the spell was used normally it would drain the level intermediate mage out of mana so they needed to limit it. Red saw all this when he was analysing it,he added a new pattern that increased the output making the spell more formidable but also decreased the mana input so he could now use the spell a total of five times before he got sucked dry with only his core mana remaining and if he used that one then he would drop a level,normally he could only use the spell twice but now he made it more formidable.

Red did the same with the level four fireball spell, since he had the lightningball spell he had reference on some of the things to do but since fire and lightning were different he also took a long time to fix the fireball making it formidable. All this left Red tired and he finished at dusk and his gifts of Truth and Wisdom were used to the limit,Red dragged his body to the meditation room to regain his mana when he opened his eyes it was midnight already,he walked out the meditation room to find Phaser waiting for him and she had all the materials for the rune he wanted to create.
