Zara

"Come in," I answered calmly.

-Creak!

With a creaking sound, the door opened. And in came a woman in white, her dress shining bright, as her dark hair synced in contrast with it.

Behind her were two guys in dark green robes, one with brown hair and the other a tad bit orange. Their looks contained spite, opposite to what the girl had.

"How… are you?" She looked at me with worry filled eyes, and I wondered how I should respond to this. I need to make sure that I don't create any unnecessary problems.

"That is a little… difficult to answer right now," I gave out a pain filled smile.

My eyes drooped a little low, while my face turned rather unhappy.

And as expected,

"Why?! What happened?!" That girl asked shouting at me. She took a step closer to me, but didn't immediately rush for me. Her eyes were looking at me and those guys behind at her.

'So she would have held me if not for those guys… some form of a hierarchical difference between her and me, huh? Then we must be close but only when we are alone,' I read her expressions from the start to the end.

It wasn't love but care. Like an elder sister to a brother. But I should not jump to conclusions.

"I don't have any memories of anything before this morning," I sighed as I looked at her again, making her confused again.

"What?" Dumbfounded, she looked at me with her mouth agape.

"If not for the people before, I didn't even know my name… nothing… it all feels… blank," I spoke with all my heart these words.

I took a glance at the colorless balls in my hand, and so did the black-haired girl. And as her eyes laid there, it widened even more.

If there were any doubts before, they all vanished from her eyes. But then a question appeared on her face.

"How… do you have that stone?"

"Ah! This? The guy from before gave it to me. I think he forgot to take it back." I looked at her, a bit surprised, before asking,

"Do you know him? Can you pass it back to him?"

And her eyes, that were surprised before, turned a little solemn as she muttered," I doubt he forgot." Then she looked at me again," you are too kind even after a memory loss, huh?"

Her eyes glistened a little before she then wiped off the tears that were about to come in her eyes.

"Maybe it is all for the best," she then cheered herself up again and then looked at me with a joyful gaze,

"All right. As your elder sister… no, let's start with friends this time. Abraham Vincent. I am Zara Raven. You can call me Zara when we are in private, but call me Miss Raven in public, okay?"

I looked at her, confused, as I observed that handshake that she moved in for.

'Wasn't she hesitant because of those guys behind her?' I looked at them, but they seemed to be okay with it. Not happy, but they didn't go against either.

Moving my hands towards her, I then shook it with a slight jerk and answered,

"I am Abraham Vincent. I have little to tell… but let's stay good friends." Looking at those people behind her, I gave it a little consideration and then said," Zara."

Her smile blossomed as I took her name.

"Sure," she spoke joyfully.

-Cough Cough!

One of the duo coughed, making Zara get out of her stupor before she let my hand go. And then she got back in her serious mode.

"All right. With that aside, Abraham. From now onwards, it would be better if you were to follow all my commands. First, let's figure out how much you remember, then go ahead from there."

Since it was free information to me, I nodded, and then we began our conversation.

Even though she was surprised by my lack of knowledge, she seemed kind of grateful that I forgot about it… kind of jealous, too.

Her eyes seem to be checking the colorless ball in my hands from time to time as well. Not just her, but also the duo behind her as well.

Even though Zara seemed busy herself, her sitting here and then explaining everything to me made me smile a little.

"What?"

She looked at my smile with curiosity.

"So much for a guy who forgot everything. Kind of makes me jealous of the 'me' that knew about you." I smiled a bit more, making her blush.

"Stop joking about it," she spoke with a slight laugh before looking at the colorless ball that didn't change colors.

Her eyes turned brighter a little before she explained the rest of the things even more enthusiastically.
