Abraham Vincent

As I laid on the bed, my eyes looked at the cracked roof with spiderwebs in the corner. From the looks it seemed it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while.

Slowly sitting up, I then looked at the small room.

First was the wooden bed which took one third of the room, it was barely large enough to fit my body. Though the condition didn't seem to be that great.

Next was the table beside the bed. It had a small table lamp, a couple of books and an ID card. On the wall opposite to the bed, there was a mirror through which I could see my face.

"Aren't you an innocent looking kid?" I smiled as I saw those kind blue eyes. And the messy brown hair that reached up to my nose, covering most of the face.

Moving the hair to the side, I looked at the face properly. Bruises filled around the cheeks and the forehead, and a scar around the eyebrow.

"Seems like you had a rough time, huh?" I felt pity for the kid. That face… even though I was smiling, it looked rather sad. I wonder what his story is.

Picking up the ID card from the table, I then looked at the intel it provided.

There was also a picture of Vincent, which made me chuckle at that innocent look he had.

"Let's wash my face first-" I then tried getting out of bed only to find my lower body in extreme pain.

Removing the blanket, I saw myself half naked from the bottom. But the part that made me quiet were the bruises. My entire lower body was turning black as if it had been left to rot for days.

My eyes were numb for a moment as I wondered what could be the cause for something like this to happen. But then I just sighed in the end before looking at my tummy…

"This should cost about a couple of kg's…" I pondered as I touched my heart with one hand and then using the thumb of the other, I began puncturing a couple of points around my heart, neck and abdomen.

And once I was done with that…

"[Heal!]" I shouted as I clenched my heart tightly.

And the heart began beating faster at an insane rate. The blood flow rushed to all parts of my body as I felt the sensations overflowing in each fiber of my body. But the specific part, that were legs were healing rapidly,

It took a few seconds, but the pain was increasing exponentially. My lower body felt as if it were being broken and rebuilt a thousand times…

And as a few moments passed, I then shouted again…

[Stop!]

And the beating heart slowed down again, back to its normal. Only then I opened the punctures that I did before to maintain the normal blood flow.

As for my legs…

"Better," I smiled as I could move them without any pain. Even though the dead tissue was still attached to my legs, I could slowly remove them manually.

Getting out of the bed, I then stretched a little as I moved towards the window beside the door. It was on the opposite side of the bed.

And through the window, I saw the colors of the world again.

'Breathtaking!' I thought as I looked at the blue sky, and then at the green grass in front of me.

There was concrete on which people were walking, and a green grassy area on which kids similar to Vincent were playing. The green grass stretched across the area, and reached the wide castle that was on the other side.

"I wonder what that is," I smiled as I found it all fascinating.

-Knock! Knock!

And just as I was thinking, I heard the knock on the door behind me.

"Vincent?" A feminine voice resounded from the otherside.

Seemingly carrying care and concern that I didn't expect to hear after so long…
