Above the skies, on the towering heights, Felix gazed upon the mortals rushing about to work. Yesterday's delegation, was today's mission.

For Felix, humans were piteous creatures. He only liked those with magic in their blood. And yet, the scourge of extinction brought the power of Magic to destruction.

The Altars of the Moon scattered across the Earth, desecrated by the Holy Followers of God. And, he could not blame them. For he understood that they merely followed the words of their God.

But to burn the innocents for their sins, was beyond appalling for even him. Felix did not understand why he had to associate and look for a human under the orders of one.

However, he could withstand the humiliation as his new master was a practitioner of the Hiemal Mystic Arts. The cold wintry magic was something he admired and feared.

So, under the orders of the new Witch, he utilised his ethereal form to traverse the confusing modern city and feasted on the straying negative emotions from time to time to prevent Terrorogues from materialising.

He heard things, saw things, witnessed crimes and many new things galore. And he came to the conclusion that... This generation of humans are ridden with flaws.

A toxic cesspit of degeneration. The humans of this era have evolved, yes, that much was true. However, their evolution had strayed far from a path that would have enabled them to achieve far greater things.

But with this much hatred, destruction of nature as well as the decay and breaking of society, it was natural for Felix to realise that his new master was possibly trying to see if he could change the world, by changing the people themselves.

And he very much agreed. He felt that the humans should know that there is something much more to this world. And that they should very much be afraid of it.

With that in mind, Felix decided to take his task seriously and soon found himself a candidate.

A rich young man in his teens, great looks, was the son of a congressman, with his maternal grandfather being the president of a real estate company.

His name was Garret Evans, 18 years old. Studied at a prestigious high school. Acted like a philanthropist, but was mostly in it for the fame.

Felix recognised an uneducated human when he saw one. Garret was narrow-minded, followed the trends and learnt nothing about the minorities and those not considered white but the stereotypes others labeled them as.

Felix saw him as a mistake that was brought into the world by his parents, Garret was in Felix's eyes, the perfect subject for a ritualistic sacrifice.

His mind was weak, held no true negativity due to misguidance and was mostly "pure" due to having had no intimate intercourse due to his lack of knowledge on procreation.

But, had partaken in oral sex with an anonymous woman. All he knew was that it felt good, and that was it. From then on he partook in many of those anonymous experiences.

But never truly had gotten the full experience. So, Felix, as the dark Familiar of a Witch, thought it was appropriate to have an Incubus in their midst.

Once Felix took note of his residence by eavesdropping and following him around all day, Felix ran off to find Jay to tell him exciting news; he found someone who would buy their products.

Felix had forgotten completely, that he was supposed to find someone who was wealthy, but unsatisfied with their life, but Garret was the opposite of that.

But Jay didn't know that, yet....

——

As I was cooking up a batch of potions that would turn people into toads, like the witch I was; Felix comes running through the walls in a puff of smoke and shouts at me in this grating high pitched voice, "Jay! Jay! I found one! I found one!" The three-tailed feline, circled around on the floor, facing up at me.

"Okay. Okay. Jeez. It took you long enough." I responded, trying to calm him down. Since I was finished with the potions, I called off making more of them for now and dried my hands with a dish towel.

I walked to the dinner table with Felix, and listened to him rant on about a prospective buyer of ours.

Garret Evans. Son of a congressman, grandson to a real estate agency president. Born in a wealthy family from the start.

His paternal side, outside of his father being a congressman, had dipped their toes in many places and social circles. Some of Garret's older cousins on that side were lawyers, doctors and the like.

A few even being employed at the real estate company his grandfather owns. Garret himself was looking to be a star that would one day shine bright on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Which I thought was admirable, however after hearing his deeds from a couple of rumours Felix had heard, I laughed out loud, though I felt bad for doing so, I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that he was trying to become a star when there was so many things that would prevent him from doing so.

For example, his bouts of ignorance on transgendered people, a few homophobic comments on Twitter, and a history of racism that ran in the family from his paternal side.

It was stated that his father's family once had ancestors that were big on slavery. With that piece of history uncovered, many people began to fan out the flames in order to force members of Congress to expel him.

It was all on the basis that his father allegedly harassed many African American employees in a company he owned in the past few years.

With all of that, I don't think Garret would ever be able to become famous for acting. He would be famous for being part of a family that would soon go bankrupt due to not coming to terms with the changing times.

Unless... He discarded his previous identity and became someone else. Then, and only then will he able to become famous.

Since, no one would know the new him. And it was easy to falsify reports and his history with a lie here and there.

With a plan forming in my head, I patted Felix's head and scratched his chin, "Good boy Felix. Looks like we got ourselves a customer. If we can snag a lot of money from him before I change his identity, I would have enough to gather materials on my own." The reason for wanting this even though the Tome could just supply it, was that there were a few things he could not obtain.

Such as, fossils or things that did not exist hundreds, maybe thousands of years ago.

One of those things being a safe way to gather natural gases and the like without using magic, as I had no experience in any form of magic concerning gases.

Like oxygen, pure oxygen was required for a certain recipe I wanted to try. Though there was oxygen around me, I couldn't process it and use it due to my lacking skill set.

So, with the money I could get from this guy, I could probably go and make my way into making a bunch of forms associated with Air.

Like an Angel, or a Pegasus. I wasn't sure which one I wanted to do.

That would depend on how much money I would get from this though. I hope it was a lot...
