Preparations

"Solosis and larvitar come out" Theo said throwing his pokeballs "We have only two weeks before the rookie tournament starts, I want both of you to focus on your training for first eight days then we will rest and talk about our strategy to win this thing. Solosis for now i want you to focus on your ability and hidden ability, your special attack and i need you to learn two new moves called Psychic Terrain and Expanding Force. Psychic Terrain will boost all your psychic type moves and block priority moves, on the hand Expanding Force will allow you to use your psychic powers to attack enemy and when psychic terrain is working the move's power will greatly improve."
"Solosis" said solosis, Theo could see its excited and determined to learn new moves and improve itself.
Wile solosis already started its training Theo explained to larvitar his plan for its future in his team.
"Larvitar i want you to focus on your attack, defense and special defense as well as you ability, hidden ability and sandstorm and learn stealth rock. In the future I'm planning to open every big battle with you so i need you to master stealth rock."
As both his Pokémon's started their training Theo decided to focus on his body training.

Theo was happy with solosis progres. Its special attack increased to A+ now witch is huge, it has solid mastery over its ability and it managed to learn two new moves and level them up enough to make impact with them. Then Theo exanimated larvitar stats.

Even through solosis was the strongest of Theo's Pokémon's larvitar couldn't be underestimated as well. It's stats had improved a lot especially its attack, special defense and defense which was great taking under consideration that axel wanted to be sort of berserker on its team and start every fight with its combination of sandstorm, spikes and stealth rock.
"Great job! Now come back to your pokeballs and rest" Said Theo returning his Pokémon's.
After that he packed up all his things and decided to move ahead to Courmaline city where the tournament were about to take place.
When Theo got to the city he decided to go to the pokemon center right away.
------Pokemon center------
"Hi I'm nurse Joy, How can I help you?" Asked young nurse with a big smile.
"Im here to register to the rookie tournament and rest my Pokemon"
"Of course, give me your trainer card for the registration" Theo gave his card to nurse Joy and signed few papers and then she said "Everything is all right just remember that every fight until the final is 1v1 and only final and semi-final are 2v2 battles. Now i can take your pokemon" After Theo gave nurse his pokemon he went to his room.
Two hours have passed until nurse Joy called Theo and told him that his pokemon are ready.
After he took back his pokemon he decided its time to go to the recipe shop to buy food recipes for both larvitar and solosis evolution line.
--------The recipe shop-----
"Hi i would like to buy recepis for both Larvitar and Solosis evolution line"
"Of course how high quality recepis do you want to buy?"
Theo thought for a minute and decided to buy the highest quality recipes. He Had 100k poedollars from his parents and he decided that its the best thing he can do to invest in his futer as a pokemon trainer.
"The best one please"
"Great choice, it will be 50k pokedollars for larvitar evolution line and 30k pokedollars for solosis" Theo was aware that its possible to buy better recipes but for that he needed more money and contacts.
After that he came back and decided to talk about his strategy for battles in the upcoming tournament.
"All right so i was thinking about our strategy a lot and i decided to use only solosis until the semi-finals. Solosis when you enter the field use Psychic Terrain, reflect and light screen without my commend it will save us some time. Then we will focus mostly on using your headbutt and Expanding Force. As for semi-final and finals i will use larvitar as my first pokemon. Larvitar i expect you to use Sandstorm, Stealth Rock and Spikes right away." Larvitar was sad that it wont fight in any 1v1 but after The promised it to give it a chance soon it was all right with it. After the conversation he made food for his Pokémon's using his new recipes and they decided to go to sleep.
