Zapdos

At this time, Folker sat in a meditative pose with his eyes closed. His presence seemed to have a hint of blending with the environment.

Chelsea and Farlan stood guard from nearby with Scizor, Charmeleon, and Eevee in front of them.

Folker dived deeper into meditation alongside Lucario. Despite the loud environment around him, this was the deepest he had dived since. In his mind, his view seemed to penetrate through space as images of the shaking trees, raging winds, surging clouds flooded his mind.

Trainers shouts, pokemon cries, sounds of all the chaos, all flowing on Folker's mind. All this information all at once seemed to drive Folker's mind mad but he suppressed himself as he tried to reach out with Zapdos' voice.

"Stop me!"

A voice rang out from their minds. The inner Folker shook as he tried to reach out with this voice.

"Zapdos? Is that you?" Folker said in telepathy.

"Finally... I can't keep this up for long. My mind is raging with anger, uncontrollably. Stop me with everything you have. I don't wish to destroy everything around me" Zapdos replied in telepathy.

"Wha-.. What's going on? How do I stop you?" Folker asked with a confused expression on his inner image.

"Knock me out unconscious, exhaust all my energy. Just stop me" Zapdos said with a pained voice.

"I think I know what's going on" another voice rang out but this voice seemed familiar.

Realization dawned on Folker's inner face as Lucario's image surfaced on his mind.

"Luca!" the inner Folker exclaimed.

"Right. It's me." Lucario replied.

"What were you saying? You know what's going on?" Folker asked.

"Someone is messing with Zapdos' mind, forcing it into a state of rage to control its actions" Lucario replied.

"I am not in any away being controlled. I'm still me, but furious, very furious. And when I'm furious, sometimes, I do things I normally would never do" Zapdos interjected with a low voice.

"I see. In any case, we need you out of that state of rage and from what you said, the only way is to defeat you?" Lucario said as its brows were raised.

"Exactly" Zapdos replied.

"Now, that's troublesome. Even with all the trainers around fighting you can't beat you at all" Folker said with a frown.

"Do you recognize the ones who did this to you?" Lucario asked.

"I don't know... I only know that it was a woman" Zapdos said with its voice slowly fading out.

"A woman?" Folker said as the faces of female Team Rocket members he recognized surfaced from his mind. He then shook his head as the ones that popped up from his head had likely nothing to do with Zapdos' rampage.

'Hold on, Team Rocket?' Folker thought to himself.

It was then that his eyes lit up!

"I know now!" Folker exclaimed.

"You know who it is?" Lucario asked but Folker only shook his head.

"I don't know who but I have a plan." Folker replied.

"I'm listening" Lucario said.

"With the way Zapdos is now, there's no way we can beat it. But it mentioned that Zapdos is still Zapdos, that means Zapdos can at least focus its anger on someone who angered it, right?" Folker said as he held his chin.

"Continue.." Zapdos said with a low voice.

Folker then formed a mental image of Zapdos as his inner self turned to look at it.

"What if you vent your anger on Team Rocket? Let's say for example, The Team Rocket Executive. I'm sure you don't have a good opinion on that man, right?" Folker said as his lips curled up to a lopsided smirk when he recalled Landrick's figure.

"And while you lash out on him, we will do our best to knock you out" Folker said as his smirk faded as he seemed to realize the difficulty of such an act.

Even without bothering to defend itself, it's still unknown whether they can knock it out. After all, as a Legendary pokemon, how many battles had it experienced?

"Such a simple plan, I should have thought of it long ago" Lucario said as it sighed.

"Very well. Folker and Luca, I leave everything to you two" Zapdos said with its voice fading out.

"Huh? How did you know our names?" Folker said as he raised his left eyebrow.

"There's no time left. Hurry" Zapdos said until the mental image of Zapdos Folker formed in his mind dissipated.

Suddenly, a sharp pain surfaced on his mind, abruptly forcing him out of the meditative state.

"Arrrgh!" Folker cried out as his expression twisted while holding his head with his left hand.

Farlan and Chelsea then turned to look at Folker and asked, "What's wrong?"

Lucario also seemed to have a similar pained expression on its face but it forcefully stood up and looked at the sky.

Chelsea then approached Folker and gently touched his head as white light emerged from her hands.

The colors of Folker's face slowly turned back to normal until he no longer gnashed his teeth as he looked at Chelsea with a grateful look.

"We have to stop Zapdos" Folker said as he stood up. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the enormous thunderbird in the sky.

"We know that but what's the plan?" Farlan said as he held his belly.

"First, we must find that Team Rocket Executive. He can't have gone that far" Lucario said through telepathy as it closed its eyes once more while its ears vibrated.

"Huh? What does Landrick have to do with the plan?" Farlan said as he tilted his head in confusion.

"Landrick? So that's his name" Folker said.

"Well, it's not really that much of a secret anyway" Farlan shrugged.

"We just have to make him stand out until Zapdos catches sight of him. What do you think would happen when he appears in the enraged Zapdos' line of sight?" Folker said.

"That's... terrifying" Farlan said as he shuddered at the thought.

Shortly afterwards, Lucario opened its eyes and said "Found him. Follow me!"

Lucario then rushed hurriedly with the trio and their pokemon following from behind.
