Strange Stone

The next morning after breakfast and bidding farewell to the sisters he began to trot to the forest. Today was a good day to explore in Altair's opinion. Besides yesterday's happening enlightened him after all there may be a possibility that the 'BOOK' can interact with the things around him and he was curious and eager to explore that.

But for that, he needed things to experiment on. Like items. His first stop today was the fishing spot although there were roughly 10 fishermen around the village they would come here to pick up their materials and baits since they would use worms as bait and the worms would be picked from the farms to here.

Arriving at the Fishermen supply house he picked a battered rod and grabbed it with the 'BOOK' in the other hand and looked at the 'BOOK' but the first thing he noted was that the map on the first page zoomed to the layout of the village, and showed the farm spots and what has cultivated there the houses with a slight list of who lived there and if he tapped on the name of the people in the residence he would see their information, the information when he read it, the people who he didn't analyze would just show in a ??? and wouldn't show any info.

'This is a good cheat for management.'

Inspecting the page a little he saw the Fishermen Supply House and it had a Rod as a symbol then in the bottom right corner he could see how many people he had in the village both pokemon and humans included in the number, which displayed a 320 and just because well he was curious Altair clicked on the 320 number and it branched into two numbers with pokemon and human with the number of people being 313 (people died in these years :/ and some were born more born so yeay :)) and 7 pokemon.

With that, he clicked on the fisherman house and saw a list of what could be found there but there wasn't a quantity so that's that but it was a cheat already so nice.

Focusing on the list he saw a strange thing named Mega Evolution Stone which surprised him. He was actually so excited that he began to search for it in the middle of the junk and buckets filled with worms, then he saw a round stone with a slight crack that showed blue inside and without even thinking he grabbed it, he then saw one side and to another and tried to crack it but nothing the stone evolving the Mega stone didn't even budge so he had a bold idea, he took the Stone close to the 'Book' to see what happened maybe it would identify what it was.

When the 2nd Page came into contact with the orb the Pen flew and began to illustrate the orb, then when it was finished the page ripped flew toward his forehead and got absorbed than a ray of light shot from his forehead toward the Stone, this startled Altair who just let go of the Mega stone.

After calming down he realized that the Mega stone that looked like a stone with a shiny blue side became a Blue orb with what looked like a flame symbol with a side being Blue and the other being Yellow.

But before analyzing the Mega stone a page got out of his forehead and went to the 'BOOK' as if nothing had happened. Truly a magical happening.

Altair completely forgot that he was in a public place so he began to look from one side to the other and took a deep breath of relief after noticing that no one had come or saw what happened.

With those thoughts out of the way he just analyzed the Mega Evolution stone

Item: Sharpedonite

Description: It is a Mega Stone that allows the Pokemon Sharpedo to Mega Evolve into Mega Sharpedo.

Altair reading this didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I mean it definitely was a lucky encounter but it wasn't what he wished for far from it actually. He sighed and decided to stone the mega stone into his bag which he decided to carry since he needed to place his lunch and Riolus somewhere.

Watching her owner go from holding the most precious thing in the world to complete disinterest she couldn't help but climb onto his shoulder and pat his head a couple of times to comfort him.

Altair felt the pats and just smiled and resumed his research on the old rod placing it close to the page as he had done to the Mega stone.

And with no surprise, the information of the Rod came out.

Crude Rod

Description: A rod made with a string a somewhat of a hook and a stick. It might break soon.

Reading the description he couldn't help but nod that was what he thought when he saw the rod. Then he could see a slight symbol with the up arrow on it ↑. This made him curious but nothing happened except it shook and the button turned grey.

Which obviously meant something was missing. Altair thought that there had to be a kind of currency to make that work since he was all too familiar with the button that should mean Upgrade. But since he was a poor fellow he decided to just leave it. Then he saw a thing that he had ignored, the $ button on the other side, curious he just clicked on it and a warning appeared. Altair wondered if the pen was lazy since the popup just came out of nowhere. So he decided to read the warning.

Do you wish to sell Crude Rod for 0.05 Pokecoins?

After reading and without hesitation he tapped on the Yes but nothing happened so like any sane person who is used to tapping he began to frantically tap on the yes but nothing happened.

Questioning his intelligence when he looked at the pen and facepalming. He wrote a X on the square.

The Rod turned into a brown light and flew toward his forehead.

Then the page of the Rod disappeared and going back into the front page he saw a Coin symbol with 0.05 written beside it.

Altair was happy to solve yet another enigma in this strange 'BOOK' so he did what a sane person would do and try to sell rocks. To see if he could abuse the algorithm. But he couldn't then he tried to sell berries and food but he couldn't after experimenting a couple of times he decided to just leave it.

This until he thought about the Apricorns he had found not mentioning that they would be used to make pokeballs so they should have a good value.

With a wide smile, he decided to go to the Apricorn tree without any delay.
