Easy Money

After about an hour of walk, he came to the entrance of what he was gonna call the Red Apricorn Zone quite original. And took a step without care and the moment he took a step inside the 'ZONE' the pokemon attention near him shifted towards him in an instant.

This scared him a little bit but Altair was going to chicken out in the face of profit. So he took another one followed by another one.

The nearest Caterpie narrowed its antennas into a frown and decided to attack the intruder.

It lunged at Altair who was looking at its reaction and the moment it attacked Altair just sidestepped kicked the poor Caterpie who just flew and hit the ground.

Caterpie who got hit came back to its feet ( I DUNNO) and shook its head to shake off the pain and spit a string from its mouth that was right underneath the nose.

Not expecting the Caterpie to have a string shot Altair got caught and the string restrained one of his legs, but alas Riolu by his side just broke the thread with its paws.

Then Riolu took a couple of steps forward and then only an afterimage could be seen and in the next second Riolu was beside the Caterpie and attacked it.

Riolu used Quick Attack and hit the Caterpie who was thrown again to the ground.

''Riolu don't let it recover and use Metal Claw followed by another Quick Attack.''

Listening to her owner Riolu complied and used Metal Claw and the nails on her paws got sharper with a metallic shine to them and she disappeared again and hit the poor Caterpie who just fainted after being hit.

Seeing that the Caterpie fainted he took a breath of relief and looked at the next prey. Then instructed Riolu who was focused to approach until it attacked.

And he was right after a slight range the next Caterpie just lunged at Riolu but this time instead of tackle its mouth stretched and showed a row of bug tiny teeth to bite Riolu who was expecting the attack so it took a step forward and used the move Feint.

So the Caterpie attacked the afterimage of the impact of the punch of Riolu and hit nothing while Riolu was ducked and just attacked the Caterpie in the stomach.

Remembering its owner's instruction it then used Quick attack and hit the Caterpie once again and the poor thing fainted.

Altair decided to move toward one of the trees and not alert the ones in the other trees. It's not that he wouldn't be able to defeat them but Riolu wasn't used to the continuous fighting.

So he analyzed the route to the tree with the least pokemon around and moved.

It was one in the right with only 3 more pokemon around, so he moved.

Instructing Riolu to attack the next Caterpie like it had the last 2 and with no surprise, it Fainted with 2 hits.

Metal claw wore off after defeating this last Caterpie.

Altair saw that the 2 pokemon under the tree were Ratattas and both laid one beside the other. Resting until both Riolu and Altair took a step closer and both woke up and looked at the intruders with their big eyes narrowed.

Altair decided to just instruct Riolu to use Work up.

What this move did was raise the Attack and Special Attack of the user by a little bit.

Then he instructed Riolu to use Quick Attack on one of the Rattatas and complying the Shiny Canine disappeared and showed up beside one of the Ratattas and punched it.

(Lets call them Rattata 1 and Rattata 2, the Rattata hit now was the 2)

Without even looking at the Ratatta 2 who was hit Rattata 1 tackled Riolu who wasn't expecting to get hit but it actually didn't hurt that much so it only took a step back and composed itself.

Rattata 2 who recovered used Quick Attack and although not matching the speed of Riolu but it still got a boost of speed and showed up in front of Riolu who got hit yet another time.

Looking at this Altair decided to be more proactive and yelled.

''Riolu use counter on the one that hit you now and then Attack the other one with Aura sphere!!''

Riolu without delay used Counter on Rattata 2 and so Riolu paw got a boost of strength and attacked the enemy who was still near her.

Counter is a move that when the user gets attacked it uses the damage was dealt with it and boosts the next attack of the user on the enemy. It is like absorbing the damage to then unleash it and boost your next attack but you still sustain the damage that was dealt.

Rattata 2 who got hit once again by a move that did double the damage since Rattata was Normal type pokemon and used a Normal attack (Quick Attack is a Normal Type Attack) it just fainted.

Then Riolu began to charge the Aura Sphere and Rattata 1 turned his back on Riolu and moved her tail from one side to the other distracting it for a little bit.

Rattata used move Tail whip which decreases the opponent's Defense.

This little bit of distraction delayed Riolu gathering of Aura and Rattata 1 took advantage of this and charged toward its enemy using the move Tackle but Riolu who recovered and saw the Rattata rushing closed her eyes and 3 Swords rotated around her (move Sword Dance). The timing was perfect and Rattata 1 hit the sword instead and bounced back.

Sword Dance effect wouldn't be much help on the next attack since it boosted only the Attack of the user but the defense was enough for Riolu who got a little bit of time to work with to complete Aura Sphere and threw it at Rattata 1 who didn't have the capabilities to dodge the incoming attack since it was just too fast.

And since Aura Sphere was a Fighting Type move that had element priority on Normal Type pokemon when it hit the sphere did double the damage on Rattata 1 who just got 1 hit Ko'd.

''Riolu good job your the best''

Altair couldn't help but praise although his Riolu is Timid when in battle and affected by Inner Focus it just has another battle sense and the Sword Dance to defend although he trained it with her but using it in the actual fight without instructions is just another thing. This made Altair proud.

Riolu who just got praised puffed her chest and placed her hands on both sides of her hip with a smug.

''Rio~~''

Then she realized her actions and blushed and rushed toward Altair's arms. The latter just shook his head and patted his pokemon head and moved toward his objective the Red Capricorn.
