Forward to the next day, Altair brought his party of pokemon to the west to clear up the place.

Clearing up the place and training his pokemon it is a 2 in 1.

Yungoos was battling a level 8 Bunnelby.

The poor bunny was at a disadvantage since Yungoos although had 3 levels down was experienced in fighting.

Bunnelby used move Mud Slap which consisted of throwing mud at the enemy dealing damage and disorientating the enemy for a couple of seconds.

This threw off the poor Yungoos who couldn't dodge the mud. Then it panicked trying to take the sand off with its small paws, but the Bunnelby wasn't going to let him recover and used Laser Focus, and then Tackle then it slammed his head onto the disorientated enemy.

Poor Yungoos received a critical hit because of Laser Focus passive and it was frowning in pain. Altair was shaking his head, it was the first time Yungoos was in a real real fight ignoring the spars it had.

But it had a lot of resistance to being beaten. Props to the Lucario who would beat him up.

So although it had a tired look it stood up and observed his enemy.

'' Do not panic Yungoos. Use Leer and move back and use Leer again, then full speed on him and Tackle.''

Yungoos who realized it was in a dire situation followed his owner's instructions and began to narrow his eyes and energy began to flow targeting the Bunnelby who began shaking then it jumped back and used Leer again and after he used Leer it dashed forward and used Tackle after gaining momentum and slammed right on the bunnelby who was intimidated.

The Bunnelby who got his defense reduced by Leer received a lot of damage but after being hit he retaliated and tackled the Yungoos who then fainted.

It had been a close fight in Altair's opinion but it is an improvement after all 3 levels is a lot at least in these early stages.

Altair sighed and took the Yungoos back to his Pokeball. Yungoos might have won if he had fought fresh since he had fought other pokemon before finding this Bunny.

But the biggest thing about this Yungoos was it was too over himself just by a couple of wins so he decided to give it a lesson.

He didn't want it to lose but to give him a hard opponent to defeat so it would reflect but this worked as well.

Altair then just let the Sandshrew attack the bunnelby who fell without any resistance after.

They kept moving forward toward the Iron ores he had spotted and clearing the pokemon on the road, he didn't kill them but well strange behavior is that they would just faint and relocate after waking up.

Big thing is that pokemon here were weak and they weren't aggressive at all since they had a lot of food and rarely had a conflict and Altair just wanted to train the pokemon he had being it Yungoos and Sandshrew.

After a bit of time walking, he stood right where the ores were and so he began to inspect what was around the area and found a cave. He was curious about what could be found inside so he just decided to walk forward while holding one Crystal that gave light.

He couldn't look that far but it was enough since the path was narrow. He found a lot of iron around the walls but this wasn't something he would take himself. After walking for quite a time he saw that the path began to widen more and more as he moved forward.

This until he came face to face with a strange creature who was looking at him with its narrow eyes and was flashing its sharp teeth, it had a big resemblance with the Cobras in his former world, and bellow its head it had something resembling a face badly painted with a menacing look quite intimidating if Altair could say.

''Arrrrr bok~''

''Yes yes, I know you are an Arbok.''

Hearing Altair the Arbok nodded. But then it began to glare and coiled body and pounced on Altair's direction.

Lucario who was right beside Altair intervened and made a move right when Arbok hissed. And it had used the move Detect and a Brown/red energy began to form around and the moment she placed herself in front of Altair and Arbok and herself made contact the brown energy formed began to shattered but Lucario had taken no damage whatsoever.

The move Detect was a practical move that when used the user of the move would get protected from all effects of the move that made the next contact and this will obviously include damage.

But the issue is that it is only the next contact. If a pokemon used something that will deal with multiple attacks it will only block the first hit and let the rest of the attacks go through but still it is a broken ability.

Arbok who had its attack repelled began to glare even more. Altair knew what type of Arbok this was which was an Attack type Arbok because of its patterns, followed by invulnerability pattern and the speed pattern each gave the Arbok the relating boost as the pattern would indicate.

The attack pattern was actually a common one so that was that. Altair decided to inspect the foe.

That was a quite sad pokemon in the department of moves but it must be who cares it had attacked him so he would retaliate at least that was Altair's opinion.

This was a good opportunity to have Sandslash fight since she was Level 25. Besides Sandslash had the Type advantage., being it that Ground Type restrains Poison type. (Guys I should place the Type too on the info?)

'' Sandslash go for it. Use Sand Attack on his eyes and use Rollout.''

The little porcupine pokemon nodded and threw a big pile of sand at the Arbok who tried to dodge the attack but couldn't because it was on a cave and Sand Attack had a lot of range. Arbok who got hit used Leer but it actually had no effect because Sandslash had already rolled herself into a ball and began to madly rush onto the serpent. Hitting it and then bouncing back and going around again on the wall and hitting the Arbok once more and this kept up for 5 times.

The poor Arbok kept being hit by super effective attacks ( Type advantage moves are Super Effective attacks.) So it got tired and hurt really quickly.

Sandslash then decided to attack and swipe with her claws but Arbok was quick to react and wrapped his slippery body around the Sandslash.

Sad thing is that porcupines are the worst thing for snakes to wrap around and Sandslash's back was a spiky surface that proved to hurt the Arbok who had an expression full of pain.

Arbok decided to use Bite and attack the enemy who he was wrapped around, so it widened his jaw and Arboks teeth began to sharpen further and went for the strike.

Altair who saw this happen ordered loudly.

''Sandslash use Defence Curl. Quick!''

Sandslash didn't miss a beat and curled up. This had 2 purposes 1 to defend the incoming Bite and to increase the defense of Sandslash. And right after it proved to be the best choice since the moment Arbok bitted the Sandslash he let go right after and unwrapped the grip.

Sandslash then finished off the poor snake with Crush Claw.

After being hit the poor Arbok fainted.

Altair decided to catch the Arbok and send then release it outside his region.

There wasn't the slightest resistance and got caught.

Right after Altair explored the rest of the cave which wasn't much deeper and didn't find anything out of the ordinary so he decided to head back and inform the villagers about the mine and assign the positions.
