1st Battle

The sun begins to show up, and although it began to warm up it was slightly chilly out.

Altair was running laps around the village, being a early bird was something he caught in this life and although there is an alarm in his room he never used it, after all his body at a certain time of the morning just wouldn't sleep anymore as if programmed to it.

Strange habits that he didn't have in his past life but caught to him slowly, nothing too over the top since he was young still. But compared with other kids there could be seen an obvious difference in both speed and strength.

But the morning exercises began because, one he didn't have anything to do while he was awake in the morning, and two he should lead by example, at least now with Riolu, after all, that would motivate you more than watching your ''leader'' to do something, and lead by example is just a set for mutual respect.

At least that is what he believed.

In this monotone routine suddenly on the border between the village and the forest, he saw a tall grass shaking, this made Altair tense a little while Riolu who never experienced such a situation decided to hide behind his owner's leg a peek to look at what was causing that.

Suddenly a small, gray, rabbit came out looking around curiously, it had big ears, and there were slight brow colored parts on its body like the toes, neck, and the tip of its ears.

Its eyes just wandered around the place while it locked its eyes on the Riolu and gave it a mocking smile. As if mocking him for being with humans instead of being free and independent.

Riolu didn't at all care and just stayed behind Altair's leg. While the person just looked at the visitor trying to figure out what pokemon just showed up. After pondering for he had a slight idea of it.

This pokemon was called Bunnelby nothing much could be said about it. The 1st stage of the pokemon and would evolve into a Diggersby who in his opinion didn't look good. It relied on its ears mainly to attack.

And assuming by his knowledge this pokemon should have moves like Tackle and Leer. And in some cases, it would have the ground type move Mud Slap.

It shouldn't be particularly strong since it looked young, maybe it just left his parent while they were in a walk?

This could be an opportunity to train his Riolu. Since nothing better than actual fight experience, besides he had some potions left by the Gramps from outside so he could just heal his Riolu if needed.

With this in mind, he made a decision and looked at his Riolu with fire in his eyes. And looking at his owner Riolu could feel the fighting spirit coming from him and gestured to his owner to go fight the unknown being.

Extending his paw toward his owner and gesturing him to do what he wanted and retreated a few steps and began to wave its paws. To cheer for its owner.

''Ri Ri Riolu~~ Ri Ri Riolu~~''

Altair went speechless at Riolus behaviors, like come on isn't it obvious that it is you who has to fight? So he stared at his pokemon without blinking.

Riolu realizing his owner didn't fight tilted his head sideways with question marks all over. (Eh he isn't going to fight?-Riolu).

Altair realized where his mistake was and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So he calmly went to Riolu picked him up and placed him in front of him, retreated a couple of steps, and did the same as Riolu waving his hand encouraging him.

''Come on Riolu you can do it!''

Riolu petrified looking at Bunnelby and looked toward its owner with watery eyes. (That bunny looks scary!! Don't wanna.) It shook its head repeatedly while looking at Altair.

'My Riolu is a timid type so it obviously will be reluctant to fight. Unless... Ohh that's it!!!'

Bunnelby who was looking at both the pokemon and human's exchange couldn't help but sneer at them. (Tsk tsk weak duo let this mighty rabbit Slap you both some sense.) So it dashed with some speed toward Riolu and it wanted to use his body and attack the foe.

Riolu watching the rabbit approach it froze and didn't move, even though it could see everything it just flinched at the charge of the Bunnelby.

When it was close to it and expecting impact it just closed its eyes. But in 1 second 2 seconds nothing happened. (Eh? No pain?) it wondered until it opened its eyes and saw a rabbit with its head on its owner's stomach while the latter just bend his torso and was making a pained expression.

Then Riolu saw it's owner lay fall to the ground and look at it in pain. Riolu with watery eyes didn't even care for the rabbit and looked at his owner who looked like he was suffering.

''Ri Ri~'' is yelped while looking at Altair until he saw him pass out.

Faced with this Riolu was blaming itself after all if the owner didn't protect it, he would obviously be safe. And looking at the rabbits victorious smug while looking at it. Something clicked on Riolu and it wiped its tears and the look on its eyes became sharp.

And moved toward the rabbit while looking at it and not breaking eye contact.

Bunnelby was surprised by this change from its foe but it didn't care, one weakling was down already so what would the other weakling do? So it decided to use tackle again. It dashed toward Riolu and with its hand shaped ear clenched and moved toward the enemy.

Riolu who was focused saw every movement that the Bunnelby did and dodged the Tackle. Then it used Quick Atack and just went to the other side of the Bunnelby and used his paw to punch the rabbit hard.

Faced with the contact Bunnelby flew backward and landed with its back glued to the ground. It went back to its feet and rage evident on its head.

And dashed without care toward Riolu who Tackled madly, but alas Riolu was just too fast and kept dodging most of his rushed attempts and the ones that landed didn't have that much strength and dealt almost no damage.

Riolu calmly dodged the attacks without breaking its focus from the enemy, although it got it a couple of times it was okay. But it knew it had to do something so it jumped a couple of times backward and used skill Foresight and knew the next move the Bunnelby would use and the direction it would go.

Then as if by instinct it jumped in the air and closed its eyes and white light from its body condensed on its right paw and threw it without hesitation in the direction the Bunnelby would be.

Altair who was pretending to be hurt was on the ground looking at the fight was shocked. 'Oh my! It actually knows Aura Sphere and Foresight? My Riolu is a genius, a genius I say.'

The Aura sphere just moved at high speed and hit Bunnelby who didn't have any way to dodge such a fast attack.

Bunnelby who got hit fell onto the ground and fainted.

Altair couldn't hide his excitement and went on his feet and ran toward Riolu who was looking at his opponent without blinking, trying to see if it would attack again.

Altair just hugged Riolu and began to kiss it madly. ''Waw Riolu your so strong, my little Riolu is the best.''

Riolu faced with these praises began to blush and the previous state went by. Looking at his owner and sighed in relief since he was there hugging it and kissing it without any care for the world meaning that he was all good.

It just blushed and accepted the praises coming to it.
