Unowns

Violet city,

After a well-deserved rest, it was perfect weather to start catching Pokemon. But things don't always turn out as planned.

The communicator on the belt started beeping, "this is Professor Log. Vidal, where are you?"

"Hello Professor, I am in Violet city."

"That's good. Stay in the Pokemon center for the moment. Someone is coming to meet you." Professor Log said.

"Ok..." Vidal turned to enter the Pokemon center again.

Hurried footsteps neared Vidal. A person in a white lab coat and tired look stood facing him.

"Oh! Jax, how do I owe this pleasure?"

"We don't have much time to chat. I will describe the situation on the way." Jax said in an urgent tone.

Vidal followed Jax understanding the urgency, "At least tell me where we are heading?"

"To Greenfield Valley. You must have seen the news about the disappearance of Spencer Hale. Things have gotten a bit out of hand." Jax briefed the situation.

"What has it got to do with me?"

"You haven't seen the news..." Jax said, "The legendary Pokemon Entei appeared and took your mom to the completely crystalized Hale mansion."

Vidal stopped, his face solidified, "Unnowns?" Vidal growled.

"So, you do know about it? We need to hurry." Jax urged him to move fast.

"I will be taking my leave first. You take your time." Vidal took out a Pokemon ball and called out Dragonite.

"Dragonite, it's an emergency..." Pointing towards the Goldenrod city, Vidal climbed on Dragonite.

Answering the seriousness of Vidal, Dragonite blasted through the air. It was the first time Dragonite had shown her full potential, and it was shocking.

In the outer region of Greenfield valley, rows of camps came into view.

News reporters and professors were assessing the situation.

After landing near the camp, Vidal ran towards Professor Oak, "Professor Oak, what is the current situation?"

"Ash and his team have entered the mansion. We don't have any precise information on what is happening inside. Do you think you can break the crystal with the help of three?" Professor Oak said.

"it should be possible. But, do you think it is a wise idea to destroy it forcefully?"

The professor pondered for a moment. "Truly, the force will not solve the problem." he concluded, "It may even cause harm to the little girl. It is just an illusion created by her mind, assisted by the psychic power of unowns."

Vidal wasn't worried about Ash and his mother. What worried him was the problem that may arise due to his interference.

"Are you just planning to watch?" Professor Oak asked.

"For the moment, yes. I am just waiting for the finale." Vidal jumped on Dragonite again and started circling the mansion.

"Vidal, we got a message from Ash. It looks like unowns are getting out of control. You should hurry up." Professor Oak informed Vidal through his belt.

When Vidal entered the mansion, the Pokemons were bombarding the force-field of unowns trying to break it.

Everyone turned to look at the new arrival of Dragonite and Vidal. Vidal didn't waste any time and took action.

"Alakazam, take them to the safe distance. Starmie, it shouldn't be a problem for you to break through that force field." Vidal immediately called out and cleared the area.

"Everyone, we can have a proper talk after we get out from this place. Ash, you take everyone out of this place as soon as possible." Vidal focused on the unowns.

With the help of Charizard and other Pokemons, Ash retreated to a safe distance.

"Starmie, you don't have to hold back. Dragonite prepare to take action. When an opening appears on the force field, use Hyper Beam to target the gathering of unowns."

Starmie created an opening using a hydro pump and Dragonite without wasting time, followed by Hyperbeam.

*Boom*

With the crumbling of the force field, an instantaneous reversal of crystallization took place.

Vidal was still not finished yet. Calling all his Pokemons, he targeted the portal of unowns.

Hyper beam, Ice beam, Flame thrower, future sight, shadow ball, he exhausted all the long-range moves of Pokemons. But it changed nothing. The unowns disappeared successfully.

Leaving the mansion, Vidal's mom asked many questions. Then Ash joined, and then Professor Oka joined the queue as well. Vidal answered most of the questions and finally got to breathe the air of relief.

"Vidal, we need to talk something serious now." Professor Oak pulled Vidal to one of the empty camps.

"Serious?"

"Yes, it related to team shadow." Professor Oak got grave, "At first we thought, team shadow was after legendary Pokemons only, but few researchers have disappeared."

"The Ruins of Alph, Belltower, Dragon's Den, three locations and three researchers have already disappeared. Few researchers from other regions have disappeared as well. Sighting of Shadow flying ships near the area of disappearance is the only clue available for us."

"Police, detectives, and other organizations have already started the search, and you are the only person who has faced team shadow. So, I hope you will help in the search."

'This has started to escalate. Is it due to me?' Vidal contemplated, "Professor, I will help. But you need to keep updating me on the sighting of the team shadow."

"The team was last seen in the Ruins of Alph. You can start from there. I will try to relay up-to-date information on Team Shadow as fast as possible." Vidal and Professor Oak talked about the situation for an hour, and Vidal left towards the Ruins of Alph.

Outside the Ruins of Alph was a fascinating sight. A group of officers Jenny was investigating in the ruins.

'Here Jenny... there Jenny... Everywhere Jenny...' Vidal couldn't stop chuckling seeing the gathering of Jenny. Just imagine the shadow clone technique used by Jenny.

Immediately after being chased from the investigation scene by multiple Jennys, Vidal had to ask for help from Professor Oak.

Vidal didn't spend too much time on Ruins of Alph. Finding nothing helpful, he chose to travel north towards Azalea Town.

His main goal was the Ilex forest just west of Azalea town.

Vidal tried to catch as many Pokemon as possible as he passed through route 32 and Union cave.

In the vicinity of Union cave, Vidal came across many new Pokemon trainers trying to catch Pokemon. This slowed him down even more.

As a responsible person, Vidal caught quite a lot of Slowpoke near Azalea town.

Vidal came across shocking news. Kurt, a pokeball smith from Azalea town has disappeared. Vidal was a tad bit late to reach Azalea town.

After getting information from Professor Oak, Vidal didn't delay and flew towards Azalea town.

As usual, there were no clues left behind at the scene.

Vidal made a bold move to let the three legendary pokemon scout the area. It was easy to convince them, as they were searching for people who were trying to catch them.

Zapdos was the first to return. He finally got a general direction to follow.
