Marcus Vs Togekiss

Chief Togekiss wanted to test Shedinja's resolve. It wanted to see how far Axel's Pokemon would go to save him. First of all, it was very surprised to see a king rank Shedinja. It was also a Pokemon from ancient times and it knew what had happened to Shedinja.

Secondly, it was a bit annoyed with Shedinja interfering with the test. So, it wanted to teach it a lesson. 

When Shedinja came closer to Togekiss, Togekiss created a barrier that blocked the way for others and both of them were bounded by a big white ball of light. Nobody knew what was happening there except for chief Togekiss.

'Mew, can you guarantee that Marcus would be okay?', asked Axel telepathically.

'Don't worry. This kid would not do anything to your Pokemon. I will make sure of it.', said Mew.

Axel felt a bit more relaxed after it heard the confirmation from Mew. 

Meanwhile, Shedinja knew that the chief Togekiss was more powerful than itself but it didn't care. It had missed to protect Axel during the tide and it was still feeling responsible for it so it wanted to do its job as a knight this time.

It had already forgotten that it was a test and Mew was also there. It was the knight of Axel and it was here to do its job. 

Mew just sat there in its Eevee form and looked at Axel ignoring the battle that Togekiss and Shedinja were having. 

Cynthia, Lance, Steven, and Wallace wanted to help Axe and Shedinja but they were already told that this was the test and they should be interfering with it. So, they kept quiet.

The big ball of light that was covering Shedinja and Togekiss. Nobody could see inside of it. The cute Togepi with a rude face was on the ground a bit far from the big ball of light. 

Meanwhile, all the kids also fainted. They had gone to their dreamland and now were facing their own test.

Pokemon POV start

Shedinja knew that it might not win this battle so it directly started with heavy moves. It first opened its 'Shadow-darkness domain' which improved its stats to a massive degree.

After doing it, it fired up 'Dark breath' whose power was heightened after being inside the domain. 

Togekiss was a bit surprised by the power level of Shedinja. It took the attack head-on. Just before it was hit by the attack, something protected it and it didn't even have a scratch.

'Psychic fire beam', shouted Togekiss

It was just like a 'Flamethrower' but the flames were green in color. It traveled towards Shedinja and knocked it out as it crashed to the end of a big ball of light. 

Togekiss was surprised that it was okay and it had just been knocked back. This was a fire-type attack. It was thinking of saving Shedinja just before it was going to be hit by the attack but it didn't need to cause Shedinja defended it just with its body.

It knew the horror of ancient Shedinja and the current Shedinja was very weak compared to them but this Shedinja was a bit different. 

When Shedinja got a major upgrade after it got the reward from the main quest, its ability changed a bit.

Before, its ability countered these knockback effects but now it could only counter these knockback effects if the target Pokemon was from the same rank. 

Yes, the power of its ability mastery had decreased. Axel was furious after it heard the notification and asked the system about it.

However, the system said that this was done to balance things out. Shedinja would be too powerful if the power of its ability mastery was not degraded and this might anger Ho-Oh.

That was why Shedinja was knocked back. Meanwhile, Togekiss had already made an assumption that this Shedinja was not simple. It thought to use dark and ghost-type moves to attack now.

When Shedinja used its pre-domain move, the power of the move could be felt even if it was inside the big ball of light and the barrier. All of the Pokemons that were outside could feel the power of the move. Some of them came rushing inside to see what was happening. 

There was a Fearow, Pidgeot, Charizard and even a Skarmory. All of these Pokemon were champion ranks and above. They also lived inside the pocket space in harmony with the Togekiss family.

"Don't worry, Togekiss is checking whether the kid is eligible to raise its son. It wish to see the strength of his Pokemon.", said Same.

They calmed down after hearing it. 

Meanwhile, the cute Togepi with a rude face was watching the battle with interest. It knew that its father was all-powerful and could not possibly lose. There were very few Pokemons who had the guts to challenge its father. 

The battle finished after 5 minutes. Togekiss deactivated the ball of light and the barrier and everyone could see that Shedinja had fainted. Shedinja had some light injuries but it was fine. It had just fainted from the battle. 

After seeing that his Pokemon was fine, he relaxed a bit. Togekiss did notice all the facial expressions of Axel. It was examining Axel cause it wanted to know if he was the right one for its son.

Shedinja may have lost easily but that didn't mean that Togekiss was not impressed. It was mater rank Pokemon and Shedinja was just a king-rank Pokemon. There was no way that it was going to lose but the bravery that Shedinja showed facing its opponent no matter how strong to protect its trainer impressed Togekiss a lot. 

With Axel's skills after seeing Shedinja, his temperament, and Mew backing him up, Togekiss had agreed to let its son out into the outside world.

And yes, Togekiss knew that it was Mew and not Eevee. When it scanned all of their minds, it had a little fight with Mew who warned it not to do anything harmful to Axel and his Pokemons. If it did then their tribe of Togepi, Togetic, and Togekiss didn't need to exist. Anyone and anything coming forward to stop her would perish.

Togekiss never doubted this statement. Mew was not someone that could be handled by Togekiss. It was not called the mother of all Pokemons for nothing.

After the battle ended, Charizard, Fearow, Pidgeot and Skarmory went near and gave a bow to the Eevee (Mew) not revealing its identity to Sam and went to talk with Togekiss.

Pokemon POV start

"Haha, I cannot believe that you will be so tired after dealing with just a king-rank Pokemon.", said Charizard laughing at Togekiss.

"Why don't you also have a psychic battle with Mew and then try to fight with Shedinja who could only be affected by ghost-type and dark type attacks. Then you will know how hard it will be.", replied Togekiss.

"What? I thought that Shedinja species are very weak now. How could it only be affected by ghost and dark types?", asked Charizard.

"I don't know. I have also heard the same but this Shedinja is a bit different. It also knows a lot of ancient Shedinja's techniques and you know that I am not very good at ghost and dark-type moves.", said Togekiss.

The group decided to not talk about Mew. It was their basal instinct. They knew that even if they gang up together, they would not be able to defeat it. 

As for how badly they would lose, it would depend on Mew's mood. If it was in a good mood, then they would just faint with no injuries but if she was in a bad mood, then they would be in a lot of trouble.

This Mew was the female Mew and not the MEW but even the cute and caring Mew could be deadly when it was challenged. It highly respected and cared for Axel cause Axel was the one who provided a miracle dish to it. If Axel died, it would not be able to get it.

So, it had decided to take care of Axel.

Pidgeot was the one to break the ice. "So, do you think that he is strong enough for your son?"

"Sigh, it is now high time for him to see the outside world where I am not around to save him or look after him.

I have dragged it for a long time. Many Togepi of his generations have already left. With his friends leaving him behind with younger ones, his mood changed and now he is like this."

Pidgeot didn't say anything about it. It knew that Togekiss was very sad when its son changed a lot. 

"Don't be so sad. You did it for him. You wished him to have a strong trainer to lead him. After all, unlike us who have half a dozen children, you only have him. It is perfectly normal for you to act like this," Skarmory tried to comfort the fairy-flying type Pokemon.

"He is too stubborn. He doesn't listen to me. He doesn't train. He even causes chaos in the tribe. If he was not my son then I would have expelled him from the tribe.", said Togekiss with anger.

Charizard snorted and said, "Isn't he doing all these things to leave this place? We have proudly narrated our life adventures to them but none of them have listened as attentively as he did.

He is more earnest to leave this safe haven. So, he uses these measures to make you expel him, so he can rush out.

And he is your son and has inherited your stubbornness. Do you really think that he will calm down and listen once he has set his goals?"

"That is what makes me afraid. I would have let him follow a trainer long before but if he isn't good enough for him then Togepi would leave him.

I need someone who can be stubborn, proud, good at raising kids and isn't too kind when he is dealing with their misdeeds.

But nowadays, trainers are too soft and can only handle normally goody shoes Togepi, not my arrogant and proud son.", stated Togekiss.

"How are the kids doing?", asked Sam to Togekiss. All the kids had fainted when Togekiss used a weird move to send them to a dreamland for their test.

"Don't worry. All of them are fine and none of them has given up yet.", said Togekiss.

"You always give them the hard test. Can you go a bit easy on them? They had just started their journey and most of them cannot even win your test.", said Sam.

"Sam, you also know that the Togekiss test is really not that hard if you compare it to the real world. You humans have the habit of sheltering your kids so much that they become like this. It is not my fault.", said Togekiss.

"Anyways, what kind of situation are they facing?", asked Sam.

"All of them have similar scenarios. All of them are in the middle of the jungle and they are surrounded by wild Pokemons. They have to find the settlement to win the test.

However, the test for Axel is a bit special.", said Togekiss.

"What did you do?", asked Sam.

"Hey, you are the one who told me that there was a kid that would be perfect for my son. And I was impressed when I met him. So, I increased the difficulty of the test for him.", said Togekiss.

"What did you do Togekiss?", asked Sam.

"I just sent him to the badlands.", said Togekiss.

"Are you fucking crazy? If you want to die just go right ahead but don't drag me into it too.", said Fearow with fear in its eyes.

"Why is there a problem with it?", asked Sam.

"Isn't he the student of Oak, the Pokemon master? If something happened to Axel and Oak got the wind of it, what do you think would happen? You know that we master rank Pokemons are nothing for Oak. That guy is totally crazy. Even I am afraid of him", said Fearow.
