Second Test

"You know that Palkia is the lord of space right?", asked Axel.

"Yes, but why would it leave pocket space around?"

Axel didn't have enough knowledge about it so Sam intervened.

"Pocket spare are those places which are hidden from the plain sight but upon passing through a gateway one can reach such a place which is much bigger than you could imagine.

Think of it like like a small room. The room is small but if you open the door of the room, you can enter a place as big as a village or city or even a region. As for your question, Cynthia, these pocket spaces are a network. These spaces are the places from which energies on the parallel space and time connect with each other.

There is a main world space and time and from it, a new parallel world is created which in turn creates another. These worlds would be destroyed if not for a continuous flow of energy or a network of energy to sustain them. Of course, that is also to protect the main world cause if the main world is destroyed the chain is broken and parallel worlds will be destroyed too."

Everyone was too dumbfounded after hearing the answer. Axel may have heard about it but he never knew that such things existed. 

"Is it proven or is it one of those theories which are too exaggerated?", asked Axel.

"Haha, spoken like a true scientist. You are right, all of these are just theories but the thing about energy flow is true. We still don't know what these pocket spaces are for and how do they magically appear out of nowhere."

"Hmm.. Okay.", said Axel as they started to walk.

'Mew, what do these pocket spaces do in the grand scheme of things? I feel that this is not so simple.', asked Axel to Mew who was in the form of Eevee.

'Of course, they are not simple but I am not going to answer your question. You are not strong enough and it would just burden you. Be as strong as this old man then I will tell you', said Mew telepathically.

"Wait a minute, if these pocket spaces are so hidden from the outside world, how do you know about this pocket space? How did you find it?", asked Wallace.

Everyone looked at Sam for the answer. He took an extra pause to answer it. After confirming that all their attention was on him, he said, "You are right Wallace. I have been waiting for that question.

These pocket spaces form at random locations and at random times. So, we humans try to get ownership of these pocket spaces but only a few of us know about it. After I became as powerful as the Elite 4 and defeated all of them, I was granted this pocket space. So, this pocket space is mine.

Then after some time, I met a family of Togekiss. Togekiss are rare fairy-type Pokemon and they don't want to be disturbed by us humans. But since they are so rare, it is bound to happen. So, I made a deal with them that they could safely live in my pocket space but if there are some Togepi interested in going out and getting a trainer for themselves, I will get those trainers for them. 

They agreed and here we are. There are some other species of Pokemon, the Togekiss family and my own Pokemons in the pocket space. So are you guys ready to enter it?"

All of them looked left, right, up and down but none of them could find a pocket space.

"So, where is it?"

"Haha, do you really think that I would put it somewhere so open? No, it is still hidden somewhere", said Sam.

Then he took out a ball and threw it in the air.

"Xatu, come out and take us there!!!", shouted Sam and all of them vanished.

All of them appeared somewhere. There was no ocean or any body of water around. However, the were many Pokemons flying in the sky. This world was very different from the main world.

Axel could not pin out what was so different about it but the vibe was different. It was more reddish in color as the sunlight was red instead of white or yellow. There were unique plants and trees that Axel had never seen in his life and there were many species of Pokemons. Most of them were flying-type Pokemons.

Togekiss were a species that loved peace and also loved to interact with others. So it was natural that there were many species of Pokemon in this pocket space. 

Axel could see a bunch of Fearow and Pidgeot coming towards them.

"Guys let's go and ride on them. They would be taking us to Togekiss family.", said Sam and hopped on one of them.

These Pokemons were bigger than normal counterparts so they could carry more people on their backs. Axel started to observe his surroundings as he was flying on a Pidgeot. 

The surrounding was very fresh and clean. Axel could not even see a hint of garbage or waste anywhere. This space had been maintained very well. 

"Remember you all, we are now going to the place where Togekiss family lives. There are 2 tests. You have passed the first one and now they will test you again. The test would be different for each of you. You already know that I cannot tell you anything about it but what I can tell you is to be respectful to them.

Togekiss are peace-loving Pokemons. They are also very friendly but they would retaliate if they are not given enough respect. Don't make the mistake of talking in a loud voice. You may never speak again.

And also they don't give eggs but they give Togepi. That is the rule. So, don't go on asking about the eggs.", said Sam.

"Man, I really wanted an egg. I never had one.", said Wallace.

"You really think that baby Pokemons are so easy to take care of?", asked Sam.

"Yes, I mean they are small so they may not know many things but how hard could it really be?", asked Cynthia.

"If you are thinking like that then you have no idea how hard it is to raise a baby Pokemon.", said Sam.

"Yes, it is very hard to care for them. I had a Charmander and Absol. I directly got them from eggs. And let me tell you, they are very hard to take care of. They are little Pokemon with boundless energy.

They run, jump around, and want to play with you every time. They don't like to live in the Pokeball. You have to feed them, make them sleep every time, and worry if something happens to them. They sleep very late at night and wake up very early in the morning and you cannot sleep when they are awake. 

Let me tell you, taking care of a baby Pokemon is a nightmare.", said Axel.

"Damn! You suddenly made me feel that I don't want a baby Pokemon now.", said Wallace.

"No.. No.. No.. They are great. They are difficult to handle during their baby period but since you are the one taking care of them since they are a baby, their loyalty would not go down. They might be more closer to you than your first official Pokemon.

They literally consider you as your parents and they trust you. Also, since you can shape their future from the very beginning they could be more powerful than your other Pokemons."

Cynthia, Lance, Wallace, and Steven never had a baby Pokemon or a Pokemon out of the egg. Cynthia did get a Gible when it was of a very young age but that Gible was already 3 months old and it had already crossed its baby period.

They started to share their stories and Axel started to get a little bit familiar with them. Finally, they reached their destination.

 They were excited and nervous and they finally landed.

It was a cave but it was one of the biggest cave Axel had ever seen. The Pidgeot and Fearow flew away after dropping them off and all of them followed Sam to meet the Togepi family.

"Now, listen all of you. Remember what I have told you. This is the test of inner will and heart. You don't have to use your brain for this test. Just believe in yourself.", said Sam as he was walking inside the cave. 

The cave was not as dark as Axel had hoped. There were numerous lights all over the ceiling of the cave. Axel could tell what that was but he was more interested in passing the damn test.

The cave was different. There was a cliff and many trees around. The land was a bit elevated and that was where Togekiss sat. This Togekiss was a bit different from the one they had seen before. Axel already knew that it was the Togekiss chief.

Around them were many Togetic who were flying around but no one dared to fly over them or even go near them. 

Only Togepi could be found around the sleeping or resting Togekiss who either tried to climb the Togekiss or seemed to play hide and seek around them. 

When Sam came with the kids, the Togekiss in the middle seemed to open his eyes and look at the arriving people.

The other Togekiss and Togetic seemed to follow the gaze of their leader and looked at the arriving people too. 

Axel noticed that the leader Togekiss looked at Eevee (Mew) for a few seconds more and then also looked at Axel's shadow. He knew that it was also looking at Shedinja who was in his shadow. Its eyes widened for a second when it looked at Mew. Both Axel and Sam were able to see it but none of them voice it out loud. 

When they arrived closer, the Togetic and Togepi parted ways for them to head for their leader. But that didn't mean that Togepi and Togetic weren't curious about them. Some of the Togepis started to walk towards the arriving humans but the Togetic pulled them back. 

Cynthia and others were looking at the cute Togepi. They were now more determined to get one cause Togepi was very cute. However, Axel on the other hand had his eyes set on a Togepi at the side of the chief Togekiss who unlike the rest of Togepi who had happy and curious looks seemed to possess a haughty, proud, and disdainful look.

Just like Axel who was looking at the Togepi, the Togepi also stared at Axel for some time and then it averted its head away from him. For some reason, Axel was very interested in this Togepi. 

They finally reached near the chief Togekiss and Sam said, "I have brought the new group of kids for the test. You can check them if they are qualified."

"Thank you Sam. You have done your job. You can stand aside for now.", said the chief Togekiss. The Togekiss must have been at least a master rank Pokemon. It was not leaking out any aura or power from its body. Axel knew that he could not defeat it.

Five youngsters. Cynthia, Lance, Steven, Wallace and Axel. They would be taking the test. They didn't know what kind of test it would be but Sam had said that the test would be for the heart and inner will. 

The other Togekiss, Togetic and Togepi made room for their leader and the kids for the test. Only the Togepi that was near the chief Togekiss was standing near them. 

The eyes of the chief Togekiss glowed purple. Shedinja who was inside the shadow immediately felt a hostile presence and came out to protect its king. 

"Are you the one trying to kill Axel? You do have your guts", said Shedinja as it came out of the shadow.

"You think I was targeting your trainer? If you think so then come and defeat me. I will let your trainer go.", said the chief Togekiss.

"Gladly. I was thinking the same thing."
