Chapter 21: Gym battle of Celadon (Part 1)

(Gary POV)

I with girls reached the gym . As soon I entered I was approached by brown haired beauty .

The beauty asked me about my visit

"I am here to challenge the Gym "

Beauty nodded and asked " Do you like perfumes "

I expected this question and smirked " Don't worry we bot a whole lot of perfumes yesterday "

She became shy with my response and paced towards the field .

We reached where I found a woman with short blue hair .She is Erica the gym leader of the gym .

Seeing me coming she smiled and asked " Let's start the battle shall we "

(3rd POV)

Referee " This battle is official battle between the challenger Gary Oak of Pallet Town with The gym leader of Celadon city Erica "

"This battle will be a three on three Pokemon battle "

"In the match Gym leader is not allowed to substitute her Pokemon but the challenger can substitute as may see fit "

" The winner will be the trainer whose Pokemon will standing till the last "

"Are both of you ready " He looked towards both of them . To which we both nodded .

"Call out your Pokemon at the same time "

Erica and Gary called out there Pokemon . Erica chose Tangela whereas Gary and called out Scyther .

Scyther showed a ferocious expression while eyeing towards Tangela .

Tangela didn't look scarred and stared at Scyther .

Referee " Start the match "

Girls : "Gary, Gary, he's our man. If he can't do it, no one can! Go...Gary!".

Erica also smiled and said " Tangela use constrict "

Tangela tried to rope Scyther between her ropes . But due to the speed of the Scyther it didn't harm him .

Gary : " Scyther use Quick Attack "

Erica : " Use stun pore "

Scyther speeded towards Tangela . With his ferocious scythe towards him . Tangela was hit by the attack before it could attack .

Tangela was hit hard and was thrown a back . Erica got worried and called out to him .

Tangela because of will power stood up .Scyther seeing it smirked and praised it's will power.

Gary : "Scyther finish it with Wing attack "

Scyther wings glowed and Scyther sped towards the injured Tangela . Because of speed of Scyther Tangela was not able protect itself and was hit hard hard from Scyther .

This because of the hit Tangela was not able to stand up and fainted .

Referee : " Tangela has fainted winner is Scyther "

Scyther shouted *SCY**SCY*

Girls : "Gary, Gary, he's our man. If he can't do it, no one can! Go...Gary!".

Erica called back Tangela and muttered some encouraging words towards Tangela's pokeball .

Gary smirked at Erica and taunted her

Erica seeing taunts of Gary laughed and threw her pokeball " GO , Weepinbell "

Gary smirked " Scyther Use sword Dance "

Weepinbell came out and say Scyther looking towards him . Suddenly Scyther shouted was covered with three virtual swords . Scyther used Sword Dance it increases it's attack power .

Seeing that Erica got worried as only two hit made Tangela fainted but now when his attack power is increased if Weepinbell was hit critically he would faint .

Erica knew there is no way she can fight Scyther in terms of speed so she decided to attack in all direction .

Erica " Weepinbell use poison powder "

Weepinbell coughed a large amount of poison powder on the field .

Gary knew there no way to defeat Weepinbell without paying a price .

Gary : " Scyther don't care about the poison use night slash on Weepibell "

Hearing Gary Scyther without a further delay ran towards the poison while concentrating attack on Weepinbell . As soon as Scyther reached near Weepinbell he got poisoned . Without caring about his poisoned status he attacked Weepinbell with all it's strength .

Weepinbell was hit hard from the attack was sent back and collided with the ground .

He tried to get up but from the slightest movement from moving he fainted . Seeing that Erica was shocked as she has never seen such decisiveness from a pokemon who would jump in poison because of order from trainer .

Referee " Weepinbell has fainted , Winner is Scyther "

Scyther despite being poisoned shouted with his one arm pointing upwards .

*SCY**SCY*

Girls : "Gary, Gary, he's our man. If he can't do it, no one can! Go...Gary!".

Erica smiled towards Gary and said " You have trained a great pokemon "

Gary smirked "That I have "

Erica called back her Weepinbell .

Gary " Scyther you have done enough for today rest up " Gary called back Scyther

Both challenger and gym leader took out a new pokeball and called Pokemon out for there final battle .
