Waking Up

Elena POV

I awoke covered in dirt. "What happened?" memories flooded back to me, and I burst out of the dirt, looking at my chest. The hole wasn't there, and my armor glowed white. "The effects of the armor must have healed me, but how?" I looked around, and saw a forest. "KYLE! Where is he now?" I checked the mana marking, and saw that he was in a nearby town. I ran a few more meters and checked it again. "Hmmm, he seems to be held in a prison." "Who dares to do this to him" I started running to the area. The dark forest seemed to consume me, and I found myself lost. An old man with a shaggy gray hood sat on a stone, silently muttering to himself. "Uuuuhhhh, excuse me do you know where the nearest mansion is?" "Yes." The hooded man pointed towards the mansion, and I ran past him in a storm of wind. The hooded man sighed to himself. "So young master has finally found someone he loves eh? Better report this to the leader." the old man waved his sleeves and disappeared in a cloud of black smoke. I dashed toward the mansion, only to be blocked by a mountain, but I blew through it with one punch, only to find the mansion surrounded by guards. I stormed in, blowing past the guards into the mansion to see a man dragging him in chains to a woman clad in white. "My dear Kyle, why won't you marry me!" "I loved only two people. I will never marry you!" I walked up to the podium. "Kyle… is that you?" I whispered. "Elena? Is that really you?" He whispered. "Yes, it really is me" I smiled, with tears in my eyes. The white robed woman paled and said "Kill this woman." "Yes master." The guards charged me, but stone spikes flew toward them, and before they could react, they already had bloody holes in their chests, with their intestines and organs spilling all over the ground. I freed Kyle, and embraced him, hugging and kissing him. The man gaped in awe at my power, as I broke a pair of antimagic shackles made out of adamantine. The woman clad in white turned pale, then red from rage. "That's my husband you're talking about!" "You didn't even have an official marriage, plus he's in love with me." Kyle blushed when I said that, turning red. I turned to him and kissed him again. "It's true isn't it?" Kyle's face turned red and he whimpered. I walked away with him, moving away from the scene, and happily chatted about what happened. They eventually ran into a giant cave, blocking their path. Kyle went went in, as I followed him. I eventually cut in front of him, and went down a path that seemingly never ended. At the end, we saw a glowing orb of dark mana. The ball pulsed, the wave bringing us to our knees. The orb expanded and formed into a figure. We both struggled and managed to stand up, but the figure sent Kyle flying with a punch. Kyle slammed into a cave wall, and blew through it to the outside world. The figure transformed into a demon, and it glared at me. The demon appeared in front of me, and I closed my eyes as it prepared to stab me, when a chunk of rock slammed into the demon. The rock shattered, and the demon laughed "Hehehehe, you really think you can defeat me?" The demon punched Kyle, then hit me, and sent both of us flying.

Kyle POV

The demon moved around, the speed of it not allowing me to keep track of it. The demon punched me and moved behind me, slamming into my chest with his fist. I went flying into a wall again and a crater appeared where I landed. I coughed out blood, and I saw gray, due to the intense pain. A figure appeared before me and I knew he was a man of immense power. "Child, take these powers." My soul moved back to the fight, and I realized that my body was glowing. I teleported in front of the demon, and stabbed the demon in the chest, moving too fast for the demon to see. The demon fell to the ground, still. I walked back to where Elena was, and promptly collapsed. The last thing I saw was Elena reaching out to him with tears in her face, and a muffled cry was the last thing I heard before I slipped into darkness.
