Thousandth floor’s suite

Kyle was slowly enjoying the food in front of him when a beautiful mature lady sat in front of him, she looked at him and he looked at her without interrupting his dinner. He was so focused on the food that he even forgot he also had to look for a place to stay tonight, of course a random lady sitting in front of him couldn't make him lose focus.

"Can I help you ?"

He said while slicing a big mouthful of steak, he wasn't sure what animal this steak came from but he was sure it was delicious, that was the important part.

"I was wondering if you don't mind telling me of course, where you got that outfit you're wearing."

"I do mind actually."

Of course he didn't plan to tell about the dungeon to anyone, the dungeon was very well hidden so very few people could find it without knowing the exact location, at most they could stumble on it but the probability that a full army found it randomly and cleared it was very very low.

"I see, this outfit is the same as the one the President of this hotel, and at the same time my uncle loved to wear on special occasions, that's why I'm curious."

'Of course she won't give up... someone else who loved to wear this outfit ? It was given to me by the old man. Could that "president" be my grandpa ?'

"I got this outfit as a gift from my grandpa before he died."

The lady's eyes dimmed a bit but there was still hope inside so she asked

"Was your grandfather's surname Lee ?"

"Yes it's the same as mine, my name is Kyle Lee."

She didn't trust him completely yet as he could see in her eyes but she had lost some hope when he said that.

"Do you mind telling me his first name ?"

"Lucas Lee was my grandpa's name."

Finally there was no more doubt in the lady's eyes, her eyes had started moisturizing though.

"Then we are cousins Kyle, my name is Lena Lee. Your grandfather was my uncle and he was the president of this hotel : The Gold and Silver palace, the biggest hotel in Eclipsia city. My uncle left 4 months ago but we were used to him leaving for long periods of time so we didn't think he was dead..."

A quiet sob escaped her mouth

"I'm sorry, I need to swallow the news. When you're done eating you can follow the manager he'll bring you to my office."

"I'll come with you, I don't need to eat this much anyway. Just give it to someone hungry."

Then Kyle headed towards the counter to pay for the food and took out the credit card left by his grandfather, it was a black card with G&S wrote in gold and grey. Now that he took a look at it it definitely had something to do with this Gold and Silver palace.

"No need to pay, this place belongs to you now that your grandfather is dead anyway. That card only gave me another proof, it's the exclusive Black card of the president, nobody else own a similar card. Since your father has been away for 15 years you're the legitimate heir of this hotel.

Don't worry since you're young you won't have anything to do but to use the money you get in the way you want, I'll take care of all the matters of the hotel. I was always given white card by my uncle when he left."

"I don't plan to run this place anyway, if I can have a place to stay that's enough."

"This will be your place to stay, the last floor was your grandpa's suite. It'll be yours from now on."

As she had calmed down by chatting with Kyle she decided to take him to the suite Instead of doing as she said and going to calm down. She felt a similar aura from Kyle and her uncle which made her at ease. That aura was very difficult to describe, it was similar to carelessness or arrogance which seemed to be saying : "I don't care about anything as nothing in this world can stop me."

Even though he felt the pull of the centrifugal force in the elevator due to its high speed it still took 50 seconds to reach the last floor.

"How many levels are In this building ?"

"Exactly a thousand, 0 to 10 are restaurants, 11 to 100 are 5 stars rooms, 101 to 999 are offices either rented by other companies or our own offices, we have a hand in other businesses than just this hotel after all, 1000 is your personal suite."

When the elevator reached the 1000th floor the door didn't open but the elevator asked for a key.

"Your grandfather's suite is open to him only, I have a double of the elevator key in case something happen but I was instructed to never use it."

She opened the elevator and what greeted Kyle was a wonderful suite, first it looked as big as the Shining lake. It and also decorated with a lot of silver, there was some gold but not enough to make it seem like the owner had bad tastes.

The big television screen with 4 gaming consoles linked to it, the high end laptop sitting on the coffee table in front of the TV, the pool table, the REAL pool on the side, the open training room next to the pool and the mysterious stair that led to god know where.

Everything looked like a dream to Kyle, even though he didn't know what most things were used for he had heard about most of these things but had none at home except the pool, that was the Shining lake. His grandfather wasn't a bad guy but seemed to like what he protected his grandson from, everybody knew that games were bad for kids so he probably thought it was better to leave Kyle without but he himself had 4 different consoles and a laptop full of games.

"This will be your place from now on, would you mind telling me where you lived until now ? We knew that my uncle had a son, my cousin but we never heard about a grandson."

"In a forest, in a wooden house, it was only me and my grandpa since I remember."

"I see... please feel at home, nobody else than you can get in here as I gave you my emergency key, if you need me there is a phone on the entrance wall. Just press 1, for food press 2."

Saying that she left and Kyle was left alone, he started touching everything and guessing what it was made for. That night he randomly discovered how to play video games on a black console labeled "PS18" and didn't close the eye of the night.

He had turned off all the lights so when the first rays of sun peeked out of the horizon he finally came back to reality, he stretched and approached the windows that surrounded the suite, he looked East where the sun was rising and could see the biggest part of the city, from a distance he could only see tens of buildings that had the same height as this Gold and Silver palace.

"One of the biggest buildings of Eclipsia city actually belong to me ? Sounds like I'm dreaming. Why did my grandpa hide so much things from me ?"

He didn't think much about what he couldn't guess and pressed the number two on the phone, a female voice answered and took his order, he picked a light breakfast and looked around for clothes. He wanted to bath before asking Lena where he could find a group for a raid. After fumbling around he finally found a well hidden closet, he opened it and his vision was assaulted by hundreds of different suits, he looked over them and only a few fitted him. He was now taller than his grandfather in his late years so he took one of the biggest suits his grandfather had and put it, he didn't know how to put a necktie so he just left the top button open. He also hesitated whether to put a blazer but it was very warm outside so he decided against it, he walked in front of the mirror and nodded in satisfaction. The suit fitted him perfectly, even though the pants were a bit short on the ankles the pants were a bit wide so it looked like it was done on purpose by the tailor. When he was perfectly dressed he heard the bell ringing and walked towards the elevator, that was how good was delivered as nobody was allowed in. There were 180 elevators in the building and this was the only one that went all the way to the 1000th floor, it was reserved to high ranked people in the hotel so whenever a waiter was ordered to deliver food to the thousandth floor they all felt scared and expectants at the same time, except the director nobody was made aware of the change in ownership of the hotel so the young waitress was expecting an old man to open the elevator and take his food, she didn't except a handsome young man with long black hair and deep blue eyes dressed in a beautifully fitting dark grey suit so she stared for way longer then she should have.

Kyle who didn't understand anything just waited for her to get out of her stupor and give him his food.

"I'm sorry sir here is your food, please enjoy."

"Thanks."

He took the plate and went in the kitchen where there was a dining table, his dining table was piled with fresh fruits so he guessed someone came once in awhile go clean and bring fresh food, he had to ask Lena later, he was curious why she forgot to tell him something this important.
