Volume 2: Chapter 64

"This is where my parents work. Farenear-San, let's go to his office and maybe can find something useful there."

We stopped in front of the police station while cleaning the surrounding zombies around the area. The police stations are quite large and I have to expect more walkers inside.

"Hold my hand... It will be a hard battle for you inside because of the small space." I said and held her hands while walking inside.

"Bang!"

I fired Ebony equipped with a silencer, to not attract some zombies to obstruct our way. Our first destination is the armory.

"Wait... Why are there still so many guns and equipment here...", Rei said as she approached observe the armory. I nodded my head and placed all of it inside the inventory leaving a few handguns for some survivors that will accidentally explore here. Also, I left a note about the campus... I don't mind bandits see this note because they can't enter the campus easily.

"There are no prisoners huh...?" Rei whispered as we passed empty cells... Most of the zombies inside are police officers and only a few wearing a civilian shirt.

We made our way to each floor, killing every walker in our way and arrived at his father's office. The door was closed but we can clearly hear the hoarse voice of a zombie inside.

Rei started to tremble while her hands halted at the doorknob, she did not open the door right away and somewhat looked at me with her eyes moist. Not wanting to see what is inside...

I sighed and grabbed her shoulder while pulling her in my embrace and stroke her head.

"We are not sure yet... So stay calm okay... And as I told you." I kissed her forehead "I will always be here to protect you and take care of you..."

Rei's head nodded at my chest and she looked at the door know once again. She opened and the moment she sees who is inside, she lost her strength while her legs hit the ground and stared at the walking corpse approaching us.

"Father... Now... Why--"

The corpse is getting closer and closer so I decided to shoot him right away. Rei's father died and also a victim of this uproar.

"Ahhh!"

Rei lowered her head and covered her eyes while she started blubbering some words characterized by mutters, truncated, erratic breathing, clinched facial expressions, and hunched posture.

I let her cry for a few minutes and kneeled beside her while stroking her back.

'So... This is the pain of losing someone huh... Did my parents feel the same thing when I died?' I thought in my mind and supported Rei to stood up and held her in my embrace tightly while rocking my body gently, letting her cry at my chest.

A few minutes later, she calmed down and gave at my eyes with an expectant look. I smiled and caressed her hair while and said "Don't worry. I won't leave you and I told you that I will protect you right?"

She bobbed her head, pulled out of my embrace and crouched beside his father's corpse, and held his hand.

Rei only stared at him for a moment, then, she stood up and walked to the table and took a picture frame of his father.

"Thank you for everything, father..."

She mumbled and instinctively took my hand as we walk towards the exit.

"Let's return to the campus... I thought it might help something if are here in the police station... Sorry for taking so much of your time Farenear-San..." Rei said in an apologetic voice.

I shook my head and answered "Sorry for your loss, Rei. Also, this is a lesson for all of us... We must accept everything that will happen in the future."

With that, I decided to let Rei rest for a while so I carried her on top of a roof and both of us sat while I let her lean on my shoulders.

"Farenear-San... You told me that you will not leave me and protect me right?" Rei asked as she leaned closer and canned her head too much my gaze.

Seeing me nodding my head, Rei's lips parted and said "So take responsibly in it... I have decided..."

She moved in front of me and cupped my face as her chin raised, pushing forward as her soft lips planted touched mine.

The way she kissed me proves that it is her first time... She did not stop and kissed my upper lip as I kissed her lower lip.

"It's my first time..."

She pulled for a moment just to say those words and kissed my lips one more buy this time, I took control and parted her small lips while exploring every corner of her mouth.

Rei also started to lick and taste my saliva. Well, it's sweet against women and especially with the increase in my level.

She greedily kissed me as if there is no more next time, while her ragged breath and flushed face is making her more look seductive and aroused.
