Chapter 4: Flashback (part 3)

"I didn't wanna talk about what Evelynn told me about Parker. I remember giving him a lowkey hey and left it up to him to start a conversation. He asked me what was I doing on the campus, of course, that is how you start a conversation which is not awkward with your crush right? I told him and asked him the same question and the answer he gave me was simple, he didn't wanna go home early and he's taking the same bus which I'm taking to drop off at a store nearby. Then he asked me whether Evelynn told me something about him. I gave him a nod and a grin. He then asked me what was it. I said he knew what he told her. of course, he knew right? He started biting his nails, and I was clearly able to sense that he was nervous. Then he said "yea I have a crush on you and this time I mean it and it's not a dare or anything". I rest my head on his shoulder I didn't know what to say I was tired that's all. A few minutes later it started raining and the scent of the mud filled the area. I started growing cold, Parker asked me if I liked him back. I gave him a nod and a smile. And stayed there resting on his shoulders he also told me to keep everything a secret. After that, we started speaking over calls a lot and we texted a lot as well but never really met each other he'd call me princess and I'd call him an apple pie. I love to be called princess; I feel that it describes me. He's different from other guys we got emotionally attached but did nothing physically because we didn't even meet each other for one whole year. The next year he called me out for a cute pizza date. That's when I told my friends that I am in a relationship. I almost forgot one of my friends Sarah was a gossip queen. The pizza date went fine he kept pulling strands of my hair and was cracking jokes. He ate a lot like about 5 pieces and I was not even able to finish two. I wanted to be like him at that time. He's so blessed he stayed slim even though he ate a lot. I thought he would only occasionally eat so much but in later days I figured out that he ate that much often and would do a lot of physical activity. We walked a lot more then we talked on our first date. We were holding hands, our hoodies brushing one another. He then kept his arms wrapped around my shoulders till he dropped me back home. And then he took a bus back to his house. The excuse I remember giving my mom that day was I was going out with Anna, who was one of my besties."

Darcy then looked up to me and asked me " tell me about your first kiss"

I started laughing like it was a joke "We never kissed each other I've never kissed a guy before. I find it disgusting for a certain age. I didn't want some nose flattering saliva exchange until I get married or at least till I'm twenty".

Darcy started laughing so hard, she was about to roll down and fall off the bed.

"I wanna know how it feels though". Darcy looked up to me while bending down which enhanced her eyes and dark circles below it. She said, "nothing to exaggerate about it just feels hot in your stomach and more like electricity it feels nice but nicer if you were a guy". I give her a tiny smile.

" The next day" I continued "when I went to school, one of the guys his name, was Jordan, came running to me and asked me "so you have a boyfriend now". I said I didn't have one but Jordan started laughing and Adam came from nowhere and stood next to him. I was tiny standing in front of those two giants not knowing what to say. Adam told me that Sarah leaked out everything and the whole school knows it now. My eyes searched for Parker but he was not anywhere around not even in his usual spots, in the entrance ,around the garden, absolutely nowhere. Evelynn came to save my life, luckily, she ran towards me and gave them a cold sharp look. she told them that I have other work to do and she wants me to help her with her assignment. Evelynn is tall and is probably the female version of parker both of them have the same dusty blonde hair and wide eyes. Evelynn has grey ones that looked like a Pearl. her physique looked lean and toned. She always has that serious look on her face that might make people wanna judge her but she could get a person who was crying to laughing in like two seconds. After what happened Parker didn't look at me, he didn't even talk to me for a day. The news had reached him and he was upset about it. The next day he called me up and he said it's ok but his tone didn't sound alright. People teased us with each other yet again but I enjoyed it this time. We didn't keep in touch with each other for a month or so because of exams and assignments. After that whenever I noticed him in the corridor he'd be talking with Adam and a bunch of four girls. Out of which I knew two girls, their names were Alicia and Jesper. They would be brushing his hair and holding his hand and patting him. I was not able to tolerate that after an extent. I had never been like that with him in the corridor. I gave them a long stare one day and one of them gave me a look with attitude. So, I called Parker the very same day he didn't answer my call. That left me confused. I realized that we had not called each other for more than fifteen days. He probably wanted to move on or so I thought and I started crying and kept crying for the whole night. Then the next day, on Saturday I guess, Parker called me. He said he wanted to go out with me that day. I ignored it and told him to stop talking to those girls instead. He gave me a good ok and I agreed to go out with him. I had to slip out of the house with another excuse. We met on a street nearby and we had a long walk he got me a bunch of helium-filled balloons which had three colors pink, grey and white. They looked so beautiful tied together in a golden ribbon. He took a picture of me with those balloons then we took pictures with each other. The next day he ignored those girls and I was proud of him. Adam tried to convince him into talking to them because he had a crush on Jesper. Here is the fun part Parker, stopped talking to Adam and started talking a lot with Jordan and his gang. But after a week or so Parker would repeat. I'd keep telling him to stop he would say yes but would not be able to keep his promise for more than three days. We started having more and more arguments than sweet and lovely conversations. He started avoiding me after that and would spend more time with those girls. If I texted him, he'd reply after three days. One particular day I went on a shopping spree with my friends and Evelynn invited me to come to her house after shopping. Parker texted me on that particular day when I reached Evelynn's house. I again stressed on the fact that how much he spoke with those girls and how much he ignored me. This time instead of trying to convince me telling me he wouldn't do it again like he always did he sent me a text that ruined my day.
