40 Chapter 40

[Third Person's PoV]

Lucian was enjoying his sleep on top of his griffin when he was suddenly shaken awake by Annabeth.

He woke up somewhat groggily, "What's up?"

"We're lost and have a problem." Lucian sat and looked around and noticed Thalia, Luke and Grover missing.

Which caused Lucian to inwardly curse himself, 'I just had to be sleeping during this time didn't I, just spectacular'

Before Annabeth could say anything else, they both heard the voice of a man, "Annabeth, please… help me!"

she snapped her head looking towards a house and gaining a serious expression, she didn't say anything and just used the griffin to start running inside, "Dad?!" She screamed questioningly as the door closed behind her.

Lucian groaned when he saw that happened, "Come on, I thought they were smarter than that, surely they weren't that foolish"

Lucian shook his head and entered reached for the door, as he opened it, and entered he was inside what appeared to be a cave, "Lucky me, a magic door"

As he entered and the door closed behind him, "Woah, what a trippy feeling, I can feel this entire cave system and where everyone is, how the hell are we underground… I guess that's the power of a magic door"

Just as Lucian was about to command for his griffin to go forth, he heard the voice of someone he hadn't expected to hear in a long time, the voice sounded so weak and in despair. The sound of the voice and the words and tone chosen caused Lucian's pupil to shrink and gain a cold expression.

"Lucy… my little fos, help me please"

Lucian stood still for a bit before the entire cave system started to shake and quake responding to his cold fury. Dust and little rubble of dirt started falling down while Lucian stood still.

"I'll kill him" Lucian managed to whisper out, "How dare he!" Lucian said in a much louder voice, "How dare he make my mother so helpless and weak, even in her last moments she didn't sound anything like that… so how dare he disrespect my mother like that."

Lucian willed his ring to turn into a scythe, and got off the griffin, Lucian immediately sank into his shadow.

He jumped out leaving a black smoke trail underneath him, reaching the height of it's eye, Lucian grabbed the scythe with both his hands and swung it across its giant eye

"Don't you ever call me Lucy or disrespect my mother like that again" he yelled with an angry expression.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" The cyclops screamed while reaching for his eye in pain and agony with blood splattering out.

Lucian, who was still in the air, twirled the scythe around before swinging it in front of him impaling the cyclops head, Lucian then let gravity take its course.

As he fell a large gash and cut started appearing in the middle of the cyclops until he reached the floor and the point of the scythe's blade touched the ground.

Blood splurged out of the cyclops landing on Lucian before it turned into dust.

As it happened Lucian didn't pay attention towards Luke, Thalia, and Grover, who were tied up and Annabeth who was at the entrance of the room looking at Lucian in shock.

When Lucian looked up towards them they shrank back in fear and guilt as they saw the disappointment in Lucian's eyes towards them.

Lucian went and untied them and just went and started walking towards the exit.

"Arise"

Lucian called out behind him, a giant cyclops shadow manifested behind him before it sank into its shadow and moved into Lucian's shadow. Making a total of 150 shadows.

"Ah Lucian…" Thalia called out but Lucian just shut her down.

"Save it. I don't want to hear it" he said as he continued walking leaving a trail of blood with every step he took.

When Lucian stepped out through the magic door, he saw that it was raining heavily with the sound of lightning and thunder resounding through the sky.

The rain washed out the blood from his hair and face, he stood there letting his body soak in bad weather which was most likely Zeus' doings.

Even though his body was rid of the cyclops blood it didn't mean his clothes were. Not wanting to be seen with bloody clothes Lucian decided to try something he was curious about trying before.

He closed his eyes and willed his shadow to surround him, he used the shadows to take his clothes off and put on new ones.

When he willed his shadows off he was see wearing new clothes which just ended up wet but it was better than them being bloody.

'So what should I call it… 'shadow equip'?' Lucian thought to himself, calming down a bit after what occurred with the cyclops, he thought that since he was with them and things had changed they wouldn't even bother with the cyclops.

The others then appeared jogging out of the house. Lucian just sighed when he saw them, "How did you guys even get captured in the first place?"

"I…I heard the voice of my little brother" Thalia said with a bit of difficulty and a grimace on her face.

Everyone turned to look at her in surprise, even Lucian looked at her in surprise but for a different reason. He didn't expect her to share it with them.

"You have a little brother!?" Luke looked at her in even more surprise. They have known each other for much longer and this was the first time hearing that.

"Had" was all she said

Causing their eyes to widen even further.

"I was too much in shock when I noticed that it was just a cyclops and I was tricked, it took that opportunity to capture me" Thalia said with her fist clenched.

Luke but a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, "It's not your fault that you were capture, we were all tricked"

Lucian's face suddenly turned pale… paler than usual which everyone noticed.

"What?" "What's wrong" "What's going on"

They all looked at Lucian with worry,

Lucian just summoned a griffin for everyone as he shouted, "JUST GET ON QUICK, THERE'S A GIANT HORDE OF MONSTERS CLOSING IN ON US QUICKLY"

Their eyes widened in shock and quickly got on as Lucian willed them forward.

"Why can't we just fight them like we always have!" Luke shouted over the rain and thunder.

"Because this one isn't just a regular monster horde, it's more like a wave of monsters, both on land and in the sky!"

Lucian made his griffin jump to the side as a lighting bolt landed right where he was previously,

His griffin started jumping side to side as more lightning bolts tried to hit him.

"WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?" Thalia screamed out.

Which Lucian just pointed to the sky pointing towards the lightning clouds, and yelled right back, "STORM SPIRITS!"

"GROVER DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE WE'RE SUPPOSED TO GO!" Annabeth yelled over the wind and rain.

Grover started looking around frantically, gaining a look of realization, "I DO JUST FOLLOW ME!"

And so they did as Grover took the lead trying to do his best to get everyone to camp…
