Season 2 - Page Six

[Hana]

I immediately hurried to where Lea is the second I entered the classroom. She's so calm sitting and zoning out.

"Why did you leave me there?" I complained while pouting as I sit beside her while also looking around, looking for Siren and Yujin. Where could they be?

"You're so slow, I won't wait for you forever."

"What?! I'm not slow! You're just too fast! Besides, what are you in a hurry for?! The teacher's not even here!"

"Hana."

"What?!"

She stared at me as if she wants to say something but minutes had passed without her uttering a single word.

"You're weird. What's wrong?"

"Earlier..."

"Earlier?" I tilted my head slightly to the right. "What about earlier?"

"You saw Siren leaving the infirmary, right?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

"And then... Peach?" Her voice grew quiet as she said that.

"Y...yeah? Why?"

"Are you sure?"

"Is there something wrong? Is something happening that I didn't know?"

She sighed. "There's nothing. I was just worried."

I grinned at her. "So you get worried too, huh?" She glared at me and averted her gaze which made me laugh. "She seems fine. It's Siren! Nothing can hurt her! Anyway, where are they?" I looked around once again. "Are they skipping class?"

And they're really skipping class! Our teacher came in and told us that we were just going to review a movie that's why we have to change classrooms with a TV on it. If I only knew that they were gonna skip, I should've come too! This class will probably be boring. Hmph

-

The class has ended and we were on our way back to the classroom when we came across Siren and Yujin.

"Hey! Why did you sk-"

Before I could finish my word, Siren covers my mouth.

"Don't you dare say it."

"Mmmhpph!"

"We didn't skip, okay? We have permission from the teacher. My stomach hurt again that's why I have to go back to the infirmary."

I slapped her hand a few more times before she lets it go.

"But still! You could've brought me with you! That class was so boring! Also..." I was about to mention Lea when she walked past us as if we were invisible.

"She's so moody."

"Is she mad again?" Yujin asked in a quiet tone.

"Don't mind her. It's a phase." Siren answered as we start walking again.

"A phase?"

Siren nodded. "It's nothing."

I pouted. It's now painfully obvious how I am a third wheel by staring at them walking infront of me acting all lovey-dovey. It's a good thing that they're slowly being open like that but have some consideration for us single people! Tss. I should find a boyfriend soon and we'll be more lovey-dovey than them. Hmmph

"How dare you!"

I stopped in my tracks when I heard a loud sound that seems like someone got slapped. I looked around and saw Bryan and an unknown girl under the stairs. Ohhhh... Are they gonna break up? I'm actually surprised to know that someone had the guts to go out with him.

Bryan didn't say anything and just accepted the punches from the girl. Heh serves him right. He's so arrogant and a jerk, he deserves much more than a punch. So, you go girl! Punch him harder!

Until our eyes met. His eyes looked even scarier that I felt frozen on the spot. I was spotted. Yikes. The girl saw me too and judging by the look on her face, she was so mad at me right now. Uh-oh.

"You..."

Before any one of them could approach me, I ran away as fast as I could until I reach our classroom. I felt like dying from all that running. That's probably the fastest I've ever run beside the one where I ran away from my mother whenever I do something bad.

Why do I have to run away, anyway?! And why is she mad at me?! Is it my fault that they were fighting where people can see them?!

"What happened to you?" Siren asks me while looking at me with disgust on her face. I'm all sweaty right now, I want to take a bath.

"I ran away."

"Yeah, I can see that. Why?"

I sit down and sighed heavily. Uhh, I feel so tired...

"Use this." Yujin offers me her handkerchief. As expected, she's really an angel.

"Thank you-"

"Tsk. Use this." Siren snatches Yujin's handkerchief and hands me a piece of paper.

"What?! How am I supposed to wipe my sweat in this?!"

She glared at me. "Use your brain. I won't let you use her hanky for your sweat."

"B-but it's really fine... I have a lot of handkerchiefs at home."

"No." Siren answers firmly as she looks at me again and sticks out her tongue at me.

"You're so mean!"

She laughs at my reaction. "Yeah, I am."

"Lea!" I shake Lea to grab her attention. "Do you have a hanky? Can I borrow it?"

"I don't have one." She answers coldly before taking out a rose-colored handkerchief from her pocket and wiping her non-existent sweat. I stared at her in disbelief.

Why is everyone so mean to me?!

I heard Lea sighing. "Use it." She throws the hanky at me and looks away.

My tsundere friend!

I jumped at her to hug her and she pinched my arm real badly that I have no choice but to let her go. Hehe, her way of affection really is to hurt people.

Nothing eventful has happened until the day finally ends and we can finally go home. Once again, Siren and Yujin go out of sight even before the teacher could leave the classroom so I have to move quickly or Lea will leave me. These people nowadays, Tsk.

"Hehe, I caught you," I said to Lea while we were walking to the corridor.

"You're so slow."

"You're always in a hurry! Ah, there was a newly opened cake shop nearby. Wanna try it?"

"Okay."

"Yey! Let's buy some too. If it's-"

I didn't get to finish when a rough thing suddenly envelops my right arm and casually drags me away from Lea.

"W-wait! What are you..."

I looked at Lea and she doesn't seem to mind! Your friend is getting kidnapped and you're just gonna wave like that?!

We finally stopped at an empty classroom. I touched my arm as I glared at him.

"What's wrong with you?! Can you just call me as a normal person would?!"

He frowned. "Can you just shut up for a while?"

"Of course, I'll be noisy! You just dragged me out of nowhere!" Bryan didn't say a word and just keep on frowning. "Is it about what I saw earlier? Are you afraid that I'll tell everyone about it, huh?!"

His expression became stoic as he stared at me with his cold eyes.

"I... I won't tell a soul if that's what you're worried about. Happy, now? Can I go home?"

Bryan took a step closer to me making me back away until I hit my butt with a desk, making me sit on it.

"H-hey... What are you doing?"

He drew even closer and places both of his hands on the corner of the table, making all escape impossible. We're so close now that if I ever tried to look up, I feel like our lips will touch. I can even feel his breath at the top of my head!

"Hey... T-this is not funny. Sa-say something..."

"Hana."

I almost flinch in surprise when he said my name. He reaches for my chin and lifts my head up. I can clearly see his eyes.

"Bry..."

"Go out with me."
