The City Of The Dead

Three Days Later...

Tsk!!

'Why did I need to be the one to come to this place.' Brown thought as he found himself walking through the creepy and empty streets of what once was one of the more famous cities in this Kingdom. On either side of the road were many statues made up of bones as the figure of a certain Jin and his little brother came into view.

Brown, who was a tall and buff man with spiky black hair and brown skin couldn't help but feel a shiver run up his spine as he walked deeper into this city. Though his senses were telling him to at all circumstances not go deeper into this already destroyed city, his orders from one of the subordinates of the advisor of the Great King of this kingdom ordered him to come and kill the two beings responsible for causing this mess.

Under no circumstances will he betray his King's trust!!

'If I am to blame anyone, it must be those two cursed creatures.' Brown thought with anger as he gazed into the deeper parts of this city filled with statues made up of bones. His blood-red eyes shone with bright light as he pointed his hand forward and a beam of bright red light shot out of it.

Boom!!!

An exaggerated explosion was created as a path toward the only standing structure was made.

Where the City Lord's mansion once was, a mansion even larger than his ever was and created from thousands of skulls now laid. In the entrance of this mansion, was a gate made up of bones which were guarded by two Skeleton soldiers who Brown realized radiated power equal to Vampire Chiefs.

Being a Vampire Duke himself, he did not bother placing them in his eyes as he walked passed, and surprisingly for him, they allowed him to walk past them and enter the gates of bones. Walking on a pathway that was also created from skulls of what Brown understood to be the denizens of this city, Brown appeared in front of a massive ten-meter door created by...well obviously bones.

Pushing open the door with ease, Brown bore witness to the scene of what seemed to be a throne room which was decorated with multiple paintings which he noticed reeked with the smell of blood. Other than that, a few tens of meters away from his location was a staircase that was created from bones that were painted in the blood of the citizens of this City.

"Welcome to my beautiful City of Dead."

The City of Dead...

In the mind of Brown, those last few words repeated as he was instantly wrathful by the fact that someone could say such words with what seemed to be proudness. His eyes that now spewed anger darted their attention towards the top of the stairs made up of bones.

What came into his view was Jin sitting on top of a throne made of bones as Seth, with his little child body knelt next to his feet while resting his head on Jin's thighs. Unlike Jin whose upper body was exposed to the world, Seth was adorned with a set of clothes similar to when Jin had now awakened his darkness which constituted a full-body form-fitting black armor that was covered by a black overcoat....this was all thanks to Jin of course.

Anyway, Brown, who was currently looking at the duo who were the main reason he currently found himself here, firstly picked up on the shocking fact that Seth seemed to be a Vampire who was in the absolute peak of the Vampire Noble rank, just one step away from the same rank he was in.

The rank of a Vampire Duke which took him tens of thousands of years to reach was one inch away by someone who seemed to be a mere kid!!

'How has he not crippled himself by such speed?' Brown thought with absolute shock but, just as he was in such thoughts, his attention was brought to the older of the two 'brothers'.

What surprised him even more, was the fact that this being with a blindfold who had the aura of a mere Vampire Chief gave him the feeling of absolute dread. He felt as if he was the very personification of death itself as his shock was interrupted by a peal of sudden laughter.

"Hahahaha, what are you staring at. I know that I am handsome but, sadly for any male, I am not gay. Don't worry, as an adverse supporter of gender equality, I am also not interested in females even though I supposedly have a wife." Jin said, immediately angering the already angry Brown.

"You, what is the reason for all of this? Why would you kill millions of innocent people? What do you get out of it you heartless wretch?!" Brown shouted out in anger as he walked towards the staircase made up of bones.

Sigh!

Jin on the other hand only let out a sigh as Seth stood up as he headed towards Brown but...

"Stop, if you are to have a long and drawn-out fight with him, by the time you finished, there is a high chance that more reinforcements would reach here." Jin said as he stood up and began descending the staircase of bones and skulls.

"Little thing, you asked why I do this and what I get out of it right? You say I am heartless right?" Jin said, his voice becoming colder and colder the closer both beings of immense power became towards each other.

Brown, not minding the fact that Jin called him 'little thing' instead brought out his sword from the space ring on his finger as he continued to walk towards Jin who was a few tens of meters away as Jin's voice continued sounding in his ears.

"Well, to answer your first question, existence must be punished for their stupidity and ruthlessness to each other. While for the statement of me being heartless..." Jin said as he stopped walking toward Brown once reaching the last few words of his sentence.

"I am not heartless...well at least not yet!!" Jin said and right after he pointed toward his chest and continued, "I have six hearts powerfully beating in my chest so I would say, I am quite the hearty fellow, hehehe!

And how can a hearty fellow be a heartless person?" Jin said before his shadow shifted to his side as a certain Sword of Slaughter made its appearance.

"Hehehe."

As per usual, a burst of laughter came with its arrival as Jin unsheathed the sword causing a red mist to permeate the air.

Boom!!

Brown saw this and decided to dash towards Jin's direction to start the fight, leaving behind a crater and an explosion.

Tch!!

Boom!!

Jin, seeing such a hasty fellow could only click his tongue in annoyance as he also flashed towards Brown, leaving an explosion from his power too.

Boom!!!

Their weapons clashed as the surrounding air halted and space seemingly cracked. The surrounding wind churned as the walls of this throne room which were made up of skulls were obliterated by the mere wind pressure of their collision.

'Impossible, how can a Vampire Chief be this strong?!!' Brown thought in alarm as Jin's emotionless voice then resounded in the room.

"You're probably thinking in alarm that I am not supposed to be this strong right?....
