Path To Supremacy

Jin was born different from others with mysterious markings all over his body along with a higher level of intelligence compared to a normal child, though that did not stop him from trying to live a happy life with his loving parents. Sadly for him, because of his title as the monstrosity, the never before seen genius, his parent were killed right in front of his eyes and he also would have died if not for the mysterious awakening of his system. . . . Please read the tags, the mc isn't a kind-hearted person nor is he even the average anti-hero. He is evil, so please don't bother commenting about how evil the mc is unless you like it. . . . . Also, the story wouldn't focus much on the romance that would be coming very late into the novel so don't expect it to do anything to the plot like softening the heart of the mc.

He knew that these veiny marks were the main reason why Demons reigned as the strongest sect in this Mortal world even though eight righteous sects worked together to try and stop them. He also knew how important these marks were to him.

Everyone throughout the world knew what this mark represented. It was markings that represented how many beings a Demon has killed that are also simultaneously similar in strength to the said Demon. The more a Demon has, the stronger their body will mysteriously become.

Once the markings cover all the way from the neck of the Demon, all the way down to the feet, then the Demon would undergo a heavenly tribulation. The tribulation is always so powerful that most demons will more than likely die.

Thankfully, for Demons who wish not to enter the 'Demonic' path of cultivation, at the moment before the heavenly tribulation, they would be mysteriously given a chance to either continue this path or quit.

It was unknown how, but once a Demon chooses to discontinue, they would lose every one of the veiny-red markings on their body.

Because of the high number of deaths when undertaking the heavenly tribulation, most Demons readily quit the 'Demonic' path choosing to conserve their life. Clearly, this was the choice of the two outer core disciples that Jin previously faced.

But, there are those Demons who choose to continue treading dangerously on the 'Demonic' path, knowing full well that 'Demonic' cultivation becomes more and more dangerous later on. Sadly for most, they die merely after the first heavenly tribulation.

But some beings don't die. Those Demons who don't die are hard to kill because they grow a heart and an encephalon right after entering the next great realm. If their brain gets destroyed, they can send their consciousness to the new encephalon, making it truly a difficult task for an other-race warrior to kill a Demon who is an accomplished being in the 'Demonic' path.

Most Demons who enter the 'Demonic' path die from either the Heavenly tribulation or from the end of their lifespan. Once a Demon enters 'Demonic' cultivation, they are revered among other Demons and simultaneously feared by the warriors of the other races.

Once passing the heavenly tribulation, the Demon would enter a rank of power named the Demonic Soldier. This rank is comparable to the Energy Creating realm.

After becoming a Demon Soldier, the veiny marks on the body of the Demon will condense and become noticeably thinner. Once that happens, the prowess of the Demon would rise dramatically, and it'll also mark the beginning of another incoming slaughter for other-race creatures.

Most Demons need to kill between five hundred to one thousand living creatures around the same strength as them to reach the Demonic Soldier realm.

The Demon would then need to kill ten times the number of creatures they previously killed when they needed to enter the Demonic Soldier realm. That's if they want to step into the rank after the rank of Demonic Soldier, which is the Demonic Captain rank.

When one enters the rank of Demonic Captain, they gain the title 'a talent' inside the Chthonic Sect. When a being gains the title 'a talent', they gain the opportunity to enter the inner core of the Chthonic Sect.

Why? There are multiple reasons why a Demon who beings of the Demonic Captain rank gain the opportunity to enter the inner core of the Chthonic Sect.

But one of the main reasons is that some of the gifted Demonic Captians can cross realms and fight beings of higher realms than themselves.

Yes, that's right, this is where the total domination of Demons in this world begins, this is ultimately the reason why Demons are beings superior to all other races. Demon Captains are beings who are comparable to Soul Transformation cultivators.

But the reason why a Demonic Captain is allowed to enter the Inner Core is because of the legend of a Demon Captain being able to defeat Soul and Body Union cultivators.

One must understand the difference between a beast and a cultivator. Though a soul and body union beast can be killed by cultivators of the soul forging realm, even numerous soul transformation cultivators would find it extremely hard for a soul and body union cultivator to be killed by those of a lower rank.

But, according to this legend, there will be someone in the Demonic Captain rank, a rank comparable to 'one' Soul Transformation cultivator, yet they can fight Soul and Body Union cultivators.

The ancestors of the Demon race passed down multiple things, one being the legend of a certain few words spoken from the mouth of a Seer.

'A Demon Captain killing Soul and Body Union cultivators would mark the start and the end. It would start the countdown in which the Demon race will reign supreme. It will also mark the countdown in which the world shall face a great enemy, a world-threatening being, a monster who is presently sealed.'

After saying that, she mysteriously died in front of her superiors.

Anyway, the ranks after the Demonic Captain rank are the Demonic General, Great Demonic General, Demonic Admiral, Great Demon, High Demon, Superior Demon, Arch-Demon, Demon Lord, and Demon King.

This information is what Jin got from the many years of memories which he previously absorbed from the duo of Outer Sect disciples of the Chthonic Sect.

Jin, on the other hand knew that for reasons unknown to the current him and all of the other Jins, he apparently needed to take the life of 10,000 creatures for him to enter the rank of Demon Soldiers.

Although it was something that he naturally knew, as if it was always known by him, he wasn't privy to the reason why he needed to kill 10,000 creatures.

Demonic Jin wanted to send his consciousness inside his body to see what was so different compared to the rest of Demons, but the feeling of wanting to kill, wanting to eat living creatures, was too unbearable right now as he felt he needed only a few hundred living beings before he could upgrade his skill Eat.

On top of that, at this moment, he only wanted to cause a massacre, he only wanted to cause havoc and chaos, it was a feeling that grew every second as if something inside of him was breaking out, why though, well he actually knew why.

Gazing at the shocked faces of the beasts, Demonic Jin merely stretched out his right hand's index finger as he then signaled for the beasts to attack.

"Didn't you guys want to play.....why are you now not attacking?" Jin's voice resounded in his surroundings as he looked at the beasts as if they were already dead.

Though they all were a couple or even ten times taller than Jin's small five-year-old body, they all looked like mere ants trying to fight an elephant at this moment.

But, even when the odds weren't looking as if it were in their favor, they still had some confidence in their leaders as they all awaited these same leaders' command to attack Jin.

Not giving them a chance to settle, Jin jumped in the middle of the horde of beasts and swung his sword wildly as a crazed smile crept onto his face.

The beasts were momentarily stunned by the sudden attacks from Jin, but they hurriedly replied with energy beams coming out of their mouth and even just using their mere bodies as they believed with greater numbers, they would eventually be able to dominate Jin even before their two leaders are forced to take action but...
