Path To Supremacy

Jin was born different from others with mysterious markings all over his body along with a higher level of intelligence compared to a normal child, though that did not stop him from trying to live a happy life with his loving parents. Sadly for him, because of his title as the monstrosity, the never before seen genius, his parent were killed right in front of his eyes and he also would have died if not for the mysterious awakening of his system. . . . Please read the tags, the mc isn't a kind-hearted person nor is he even the average anti-hero. He is evil, so please don't bother commenting about how evil the mc is unless you like it. . . . . Also, the story wouldn't focus much on the romance that would be coming very late into the novel so don't expect it to do anything to the plot like softening the heart of the mc.

"Look kid, at the beginning after glimpsing at you and your eyes, we were going to save you from the beast but, after seeing what you did with that beast, it's obvious that you have at the very least laid your hands on a Peak level treasure.... if you give us the treasure maybe we can let you go."

The dominant voice of one of the masked figures enter Jin's ears as Jin himself only frowned deeper after hearing his words.

Suddenly, a resolute look appeared on Jin's face and with a slight nod of his head, the masked duo watched on as a blindfold, some clothes and also a sword that was inside of a scabbard appeared as it attached itself in their rightful places on Jin's five-year-old body.

Watching the being who now adorned a completely flawless white robe that fitted him perfectly, the duo couldn't appreciate the site for long as they immediately felt their strength leave their body.

All of their hard-earned strength left as they remained with merely the strength of an Energy Forming cultivator.

Watching their faces of shock, Jin felt something in his heart, something that made him feel human again, as he then spoke out with an emotionless tone.

"I guess this is why members of my race set out to a path of supreme power. It is not for the supreme power but the journey, watching other beings that have wronged you suffer, this is what is truly enjoyable."

Slowly but surely, the mindset of Jin was changing from an innocent boy who strived for attention to a being who can make the ancestors of the Void race proud.

With the words that left Jin's lips, the duo's attention was also now focused on the reason for their loss of power.

"Child....I am unsure of what you did but, if you do not undo it, your death will be a very painful one." The shorter of the masked figures said in a dark and sinister tone.

His companion then followed up.

"Kid, if you do what my partner says, I can forget what happened here and we can even personally escort you to the Trials of the Chthonic Sect that will be taking place in a few months from now. I can see that you are very talented, to be able to reach the Energy Forming realm at such a young age, you can even become an Elite Disciple in under fifty years."

His voice seemed less sinister as he seemed to be trying to ease the tension between the opposing sides as he simultaneously tried to hide the vicious smirk that was threatening to appear on his face.

On any other day in his life, Jin would fall for such trickery but, after awakening to his Void race bloodline and seeing the shock and slight fright from the two disciples in front of him, Jin realized that he has developed a habit of enjoying the suffering of others.

"I do not need you to take me anywhere, I merely need you for training as right after that I will simply absorb your memories and will obviously know where to go for the Chthonic Sect Trials....wouldn't that be the smarter thing to do?"

Jin replied as he left both the disciples of the Chthonic Sect frozen in shock at the fact that a five-year-old could analyze to such a degree, as they failed to process what he said at the end of his sentence.

"Look, don't you realize that even if we are only at the Energy Forming realm, we can still destroy you with merely our experience...and it also looks like your treasure can only reduce the cultivation of your enemy only in the same realm as you which means your five or so years worth of fighting experience would have to somehow put up against the two of us who have been cultivators for almost three hundred years."

The wicked voice of the short masked Demon once again sounded in Jin's ears as Jin replied honestly to his questions.

"Firstly, my 'Treasure' can take away all of your cultivation instantly if I wanted to but, as you said, my battle experience is nothing compared to you two, so that's why I decided that you guys can fight me with the same realm of power as me.

Trust me when I say, I have a high comprehension so your moves will be learned by me in mere instances." Jin said confidently as he then unsheathed his sword and attacked one of the figures.

Seeing Jin's action, the taller of the masked figures leisurely unsheathed his sword too as the other figure simply went up a nearby tree and sat down on one of its branches as he prepared to watch a little spectacle.

Peng!!

The steel swords met as the black metallic sword of Jin clashed a few more times with the silver blade of his opponents.

Peng!!

Peng!!!

Peng!!!

As the clashes went on, Jin realized the fact that he was slowly being dominated by the sheer technique difference in the sword plays of his opponent and him but, he did not lose hope at all as he saw it.

He saw how every time his opponent attacked him, the image would be played tens of times in his mind in merely a couple of seconds as he also repeated the actions.

He felt how every time he attacked his opponent, his skill and power of his attacks would increase as the mistakes and wasted movements would immensely decrease.

He felt it and the masked figures saw it as well as they were immediately shocked by the findings, they abruptly regretted their previous action of trying to harm the kid, if they had brought such a talent back into the sect, wouldn't they both get handsome rewards and possibly even find an Elder to be their master.

Now, such a genius was about to die from their hands, if it was known in the sect wouldn't they instantly be shunned from their peers.

But, as they were having these thoughts and not focusing on Jin, Jin was given enough time to finally master the basics of some of the techniques used by his opponent.

Slowly but surely, the fight which was previously one-sided now became even again as the duo instantly realized that Jin seemed to be akin to a sponge soaking in water.

His comprehension was off the charts and this made them feel a tinge of fear which instantly made them use their brain as the short masked being who was previously resting on the tree branch immediately jumped off as he appeared next to his companion as they both prepared to face off against Jin.

Placing his hands behind his back, the shorter of the two masked figures then equipped with his two daggers as he and his companion bolted towards Jin in a union which made it clear that the experience of years of battles together made them almost think in the same wavelength while in battle.

Peng!!

Peng!!!

Peng!!!

As the battle went on and the clashing of swords and daggers caused sparks to form, multiple wounds began to appear on the body of Jin as he slowly started to lose in both endurance and skill mastery.

Suddenly, behind Jin, the shorter of the two masked beings appeared as he sent one of his daggers towards Jin's neck as the other went towards Jin's lower back.
