Jin's Downfall (1)

"Yes, traveling to a few mortal planes does seem interesting before we then head into the vast universe. Maybe, we can find a few beings who can see the greatness in the downfall of existence." Jin said as he had a dastardly and dangerous smile on his face.

Soon after, the smile disappeared as he then said, "It does seem that it is better to be vagrants and play in the shadows. Though we can't be as playful now since if we take too much time in one city, the other beings of the other cities would be alerted."

"Yes, if they are alerted, it would be troublesome to take on more than five at the same time...though this city only has three, we should not underestimate our opponents." Seth followed up as they began to fade away under the night skies.

This city was filled with denizens who were completely unaware of the troubles that they were about to face, the beings responsible, just made their appearance as the first to suffer the consequences would be the creatures who are at the top of the ladder of strength.

Sigh!!

"I've been in the Vampire Noble rank for two weeks now, and I still haven't shown any signs of breaking through even after the destruction of the last city!!" Seth said out loud as he complained to Jin who was currently lying on the mattress of a random inn.

Urgh!!

Letting out a groan of annoyance, Jin then replied. "Haven't I told you if a Vampire could have increased through the ranks with mere blood alone, wouldn't all vampires be in the realm of Vampire kings at least?

When a Vampire wants to break through to the Vampire Duke realm, the quality of the blood matters more than the quantity...well at least that's according to the memories of those City Lords. Luckily for you, the Void race aspects have been working beautifully together with the Vampire aspects of your bloodline, allowing for immense quantity to be filtered out and be turned into lesser blood but...lesser blood with higher amounts of quality.

So, if previously you would need to absorb the blood of one million high-quality and strong creatures, now you'll need to absorb the blood of ten million normal creatures to enter the Vampire Duke realm." Jin said, finally finishing his speech as he closed his eyes hoping to fall asleep. Though it wasn't needed, Jin, realized that he enjoyed sleeping a lot. Unlike others, he merely needed to kill to grow stronger in Demonic cultivation, and with the upgraded skill 'Eat', he merely needed to eat the beings he killed to grow stronger as a normal cultivator.

In a brightly lit room, three figures sat around a table as they seemed to be in a heated argument.

"I don't understand why you guys are so scared of two little brats!!" Shouted a female with long flowing golden hair and pale white skin. Her aura raising to incredible levels and if Jin or Seth were here, they'll realize that she was seemingly tens of times stronger than Brown.

"Shut up Athena. You are similar to Brown with your unbundled amounts of arrogance yet, you two aren't even that strong!! Why don't you go find those two and fight them by yourself?" A boy with red hair that was parted in the middle and blood-red eyes that can send a shiver up the average person, spoke with annoyance clear in his voice as he shifted his gaze towards the being on the other side of the table.

"He's right Athena, we should not underestimate two beings who have destroyed two cities in our kingdom. Especially since we are the most likely to be attacked because of our low numbers compared to the other two cities." The deep voice of who seemed to be the leader of this group then resounded in the room as his golden hair and pale skin made it clear that he was Athena's brother.

Tsk!!

"Whatever!!" Athena said before storming out of the room. The red-haired boy who seemed to be in his late teens didn't bother trying to stop her as he was annoyed with her arrogance while the brother knew well to not annoy his sister even more...it seemed like he was the average simp.

On the rooftop of the City's Lord mansion, one can see the figure of Athena as she seemed to be in a foul mood. As she sat there thinking back about how her brother and that fool went against her words, she couldn't help but click her tongue. She who was brought up as the family princess was never in an argument in which she did not come out victorious.

Tsk!!

Thinking this, Athena couldn't help but let out an annoyed click of the tongue but...

Swoosh!!

But, right when she was in the middle of her annoyance, she suddenly heard as if something tore apart the wind behind her as she then felt a shiver run up her spine. Feeling something cold on her left shoulder, Athena hurriedly darted her gaze toward her shoulder as she saw the view of a pale left foot which had black colored toenails that were extremely sharp and slightly longer than average, resting on her shoulder.

"Brat...Is that what you called us?

I am unsure where you got the gall to call me a 'Brat', but this is the reason why you will be left hanging dead and naked for the whole of this city to see. Thereafter, I will order them to ravage your already dead body!!" Jin said as he did not remove his left foot from Athena's shoulder.

"Little brat, remove your foot from my shoulder right now!!" Athena ordered, once again referring to Jin as a 'brat', greatly angering him in the process.

Boom!!!

As soon as the words 'Brat' registered in Jin's brain, he immediately used his immense strength and pressed down on Athena's shoulder. His mere strength destroyed the rooftop under the body of Athena as they both were sent blasting downwards and through the multiple floors of the City Mansion, only stopping once reaching the lowest floor of this mansion.

Multiple beings were alerted by the loud noise which came with it, and Jin who knew this immediately did only something that he was capable of doing. Using his brain, Jin immediately thought of placing all of the strong beings who can harm him, under an illusion. Of course, it was one of his abilities that he unlocked after becoming the Child of Death which was 'Death Illusion'.

Boom!!

Jin kicked the body of Athena with his right foot akin to how a professional soccer player kicks a soccer ball, successfully sending her body through the many walls of this city mansion and into the city streets which were currently filled with unsuspecting pedestrians.

'Haha, now that the only threats are dealt with, I guess I can have some fun with this one!!' Jin thought with a cold and vicious smirk plastered on his face.

Sadly for him, not everything was to go to his plans, as he was about to find out why the Divine Tribulation realm had the word, 'Tribulation' in it. Until Jin could break through to the Ascension Lord realm, he would be undergoing a few tribulations, some so life-threatening that even Seth would be greatly harmed.
