Darkness

'Darkness...'

In the never-ending sea of dark energy, Jin's floating body could be seen as it seemed as if his skin leaked out a dark liquid substance that then seemed to attract the surrounding dark energy as this dark energy then went on to penetrate deep into the pores off Jin. It seemed that the longer the dark energy went into his pores, the more evil Jin's aura gave off. Not only that, the eviler the aura of Jin became, the more of the surrounding dark energy will then rush into Jin's pores. It seemed like a loop was formed, the only way it would end was as if there was a limit to this seemingly never-ending sea of dark energy.

'What is darkness...'

Jin thought in his mind, as for him it felt as if a mist was covering his view of something magnificent. Though he felt as if he was being blinded, he also felt as if in a mere few breaths of time, the mist will clear and reveal to him all of his answers. But, he wanted the answers now, he was a greedy existence, and he knew it. Jin wanted the so-called answers now and as if his body understood his call, the speed at which he absorbed the surrounding dark energy increased multiple levels as his physical body was then surrounded by a vortex made out of dark energy.

'The absence of Light? Is that darkness.'

Jin thought in his mind as he felt it. He felt as if the mist was dispersed yet, he still had not gotten a solid answer. Though he got an answer, he knew that darkness wasn't just the absence of Light. At least he did not want to believe that, wouldn't it then just be that darkness would then not exist if Light existed everywhere. What kind of bullshit would that be if it needed to rely on light to survive. Getting to this, Jin's body reacted along with his mind as the vortex of dark energy that surrounded him increased in size by more than double as his body also emitted the liquid energy by more than twice the speed.

'Darkness... an element that can absorb the surrounding light!!!'

Jin's mind was enlightened as his body kept on absorbing the dark energy at incredible speeds. In Jin's view was a bright space, the space was brimming with light as in the next moment, from the corner of the room a ball of darkness appeared. Slowly but surely, Jin watched on as the ball of darkness expanded in size as it eventually corrupted the whole room and bathed it into the beautiful color known as black. A black so dark that it was darker than the abyss, a black that could put fear into the soul of any being as Jin merely felt a beautiful comfort as he gazed at it. As Jin who was in the form of a blob of darkness watched on, he suddenly felt a suction force.

His consciousness which was in the form of a black blob that spewed a black liquid that corrupted his surroundings was suddenly pulled into the darkness that he just watched grew. The darkness that absorbed Light itself was now trying to absorb Jin's consciousness who was still momentarily confused, immediately after, Jin lost his bearings. He was just watching as light itself was absorbed by darkness, as he then was unknowingly pulled into the darkness which then immediately after try to absorb him. His consciousness went blank for a millisecond since he did not know what was going on. Jin then realized, like, in the physical world, he seemed to have been transported to an incredibly dark space that spanned an indefinite length.

But unlike in the physical world, he was not annoyed as he already saw that this space was not an indefinite sea of darkness. He just watched the space that seemed to have only been around twenty meters in length, then be turned into a space of darkness. 'Hmm, it can't be that big.' Jin thought as he then tried to absorb the dark energy that he found his consciousness floating in.

Seconds, minutes, hours passed. Yet, he could not absorb everything into his black blob self as it seemed as if the darkness was like an indefinite body of water.

Jin would have sighed but he did not have a mouth from which a sigh can escape. Why, it was because he realized that he needed to deepen his understanding of darkness, for him to leave this place. Feeling this, Jin's physical body absorbed the never-ending stream of energy at an even more exaggerated level as he felt a previously non-existent mist that blocked the advancement of his understanding of darkness. As soon as he felt this, Jin's body and consciousness absorbed their respected energies at alarming speeds as Jin entered a state of enlightenment.

'Darkness does not have a form...darkness is a concept...where there isn't darkness there is light...no, that is lies...darkness exists everywhere, in everything and everyone...'

Jin kept on repeating certain words in his mind, simultaneously, his understanding of the Law of Darkness increased multiple levels as if one were watching his two forms. Both in the sea of dark energies, one would see the scene of Jin absorbing the dark energy at an unreal speed. So fast that before long, both of Jin's bodies were floating in a space of bright light. But, just as quickly as the light came, it disappeared as Jin's eyes in the physical world opened, revealing a pair of void black pupils that were surrounded by a barely discernable blood-red light that was also surrounded by a white-colored sclera.

'Hahaha, so this is the Mystery Lord realm.!!!' Jin shouted in his mind as he felt the immense strength running through his black-colored muscles and veins. But, just as he was celebrating, he felt as if his consciousness was sucked away as his vision grew blurry. Before long, his vision cleared as what came into view was a dark space that had thousands of sparkling balls of light.

"Oh for fuck sake...can't I simply remain inside of my body." Jin said out loud in annoyance as his transparent left eye twitched. 'At least I have my beautiful physical self.' Jin thought in slightly less annoyance as he was then interrupted by a voice that was neither male nor female.

"You should not be angry, you technically are inside of your body."

Jin's face couldn't help but contort into a frown as he did not like it when people sneak upon him. But his eyebrows knitted in confusion as his gaze landed on the being behind him and he saw the view of what can be described as a humanoid figure made out of gas that was colored in a black that was darker than even Jin's pupils.

"Who the fuck are you?" Jin couldn't help but curse after seeing the appearance of this being as he felt a tinge of fear deep inside of his soul but he also felt a tinge of respect that came from the depths of his soul. Sensing this, Jin could not help but be confused, he was the pinnacle existence, the pinnacle of evolution, yet he currently felt fear and reverence towards another existence. Though it was merely a tinge, it was still there and that did not sit well with him. His pride could not allow it.

"Jin, the Son of ???, you need not worry as I am not what you would call a 'being' or something that is in 'existence'."
