Chapter 12: What Does Being A Teacher Mean??

"Lena, let me ask you something! What place is this?" Headmaster William asked while mentioning the surroundings.

"T-this is-" Before Miss Lena could complete her sentence, Headmaster William cut her off by saying: " It's an Academy built to train the young generation about the wonders of magic, and make sure they are ready for the hurdles that the Bitch called Life will send towards them".

John didn't knew why but, It seems to him that, The Headmaster intentionally cut Miss Lena off in mid-speech.

"Yes, Headmaster I know that!"

"No, Definitely not! You don't know shit Lass". Although Headmaster is a little calmer than before, But the shift in his language definitely entails that, He isn't going to let Miss Lena off the hook without a lecture.

"Now, Tell me Lena ! Who are you? And, What is your role in this academy?"

"I am–"

"You are a teacher in this Academy, And you are not a normal teacher. You are someone who have the second highest authority in this Academy with me being the Highest". Headmaster William once more cut her off mid-sentence.

This time, I am sure Headmaster William intentionally interrupted Miss Lena. And after seeing Miss Lena's twitching eyes, I am sure that, She is also aware that Headmaster is taking revenge for Maria.

Internally, Miss Lena was feeling even more disgusted with herself, cause instead of self-reflecting her mistakes, She is feeling anger towards Maria. But, She still hasn't known about the exact reason of Headmaster's anger. Though, With how Headmaster is talking ! She has a pretty good hint about the mistake that Headmaster is talking about.

"And as a respected Teacher, You have an obligation to help the students as much as possible. And here you are, not even allowing Maria to say something or willing to hear her out." Atlast after such a roundabout conversation, Headmaster William finally told the blunder done by Miss Lena which attracted his wrath.

Honestly, John was getting bored from the long lecture Headmaster William was giving to Miss Lena. And He for sure prays that long lectures are not the norm in the academy, otherwise he will surely be bored to death.

Infact, Even Maria who was crying from, Miss Lena's hurtful words has long since stopped and was hearing the lecture like me. And, She was honestly really grateful that Headmaster has stood up for her.

But at the same time she has also developed a trauma of Miss Lena. Fortunately or unfortunately for her, She is not qualified to join the academy and hence it will be the last time, She is meeting Miss Lena.

"I-I am sorry Headmaster. Please forgive me!" Miss Lena hurriedly bowed her head in apology.

"Lena, I am not the one, you should apologise. It's her" Headmaster reminded while pointing towards Maria.

"Huh" Maria was surprised by what Headmaster said and hurriedly started waving her hands and face: " No no no, their is really no need for that. Miss Lena it's ok, You don't need to apologise"

"No, it's my fault. My arrogance and mentality had so much blinded me that I forgot that, In this academy I am a teacher first and the other things come after that. Please forgive me Maria".

After saying that Miss Lena bowed her head to Maria who completely flustered. It seemed like, She doesn't know about How to deal with this kind of situation?.

"It's nothing Miss Lena. I didn't take that to heart. Now, Please lift up your head. You are embarassing me."

"Thanks" Miss Lena thanked Maria. Afterall, Even though most of the students have dispersed, their were still a few students present in that area. And it was honestly very difficult for someone like her to apologise and bow to someone she thinks is inferior.

Yeah, Even after apologising, Her arrogance and mentality hasn't changed much.The only thing that changed because of this bitter slap of reality is that, She is not going to allow her arrogance to interfere with her obligations as her teacher. She is still a person who believes in the Law of Jungle.

John is sure that after today, their will be different kinds of rumours about Miss Lena in the academy and most if not all the less talented students will try to avoid Miss Lena like a plague. Infact, Even He believes in the Law of Jungle that strong are always right. The only fault of Miss Lena that he can think of is that, She should have atleast listened to what Maria was saying instead of condemning her like trash.

"Well, Now that Lena has learnt her lesson, Don't you think it's time for you to tell us about, What were you going to say to Lena?" Headmaster questioned curiously.
