Chapter 11: Headmaster's Wrath

"Excuse me, Miss Lena!?" asked the Blue-haired girl.

"Yeah! What's the matter? Who are you?"

"I-I am, I mean, My name is Maria Grace!" nervously stammered Maria.

"So, what do you want Maria" Miss Lena asked impatiently.

"Miss Lena, You see, I didn't awaken the minimum qualifications needed to–"

"Don't bother, If you didn't have talents that just means that, You are worthless! And the Academy doesn't need any worthless students" Miss Lena rudely interrupted Maria and started looking at her with undisguised disdain like, She is some worthless trash.

It was completely different from the way she was looking and talking with John.

Even John was surprised at the way Miss Lena was behaving. Even though, He had once witnessed, Miss Lena's disdain towards people with low talents, He didn't think it was so severe.

"B-but, Miss Lena, Please atleast listen–" Maria tried to talk to her with teary eyes. She was extremely sad and even a little disgusted with herself for not having any talent.

"Scram!" Miss Lena didn't even try to listen to what Maria was saying and simply told her to fuck off.

"Lena!!!" roared Headmaster William angrily. The air suddenly became extremely heavy and it was even difficult to breathe properly. The surroundings became hot, proof of Headmaster's expertise in fire element.

Hearing the sudden roar of anger from Headmaster, Lena straightened her back and anxiously turned around to met face to face with Headmaster William, who was looking towards her with wrath.

But even bigger than the wrath, it was the utter disappointment in his face that hurt Miss Lena greatly.

Although, She was hurt by seeing the look of anger and disappointment that the Headmaster is giving her, She knows that it's her fault that has lead to this situation. She has known about this flaw of hers for a long time. Due to her unfortunate past, Her personality has become twisted.

Her past had transformed her from a weak girl to a powerful woman, but at the same time, the price that she has to pay is the change in her mentality. She stubbornnly believes that only strong and talented people are right. And the weak and talentless can only submit to the strong.

It's not like she hadn't tried to change her twisted mindset, but over the years, It has become a part of her nature and is extremely difficult to change.

And with the passage of time, She has learned to come to terms with herself and has acknowledged that this mentality has irreversibly became a part of her life.

Moreover, it's only because of the Headmaster William that, she is feeling hurt and guilty. If it was someone else who was angry and disappointed with her actions, She would have just beaten him to death. She is a firm believer of the dogma, that all problems can be solved with brute force, And if you still can't solve the problem, then that means that, You are not using enough brute force.

Although, she likes to scold Headmaster, And make trouble for him, But internally she respects Headmaster a lot. He is a kind of father figure to her. And more than his anger, it's his disappointment in her that makes her lower her head in shame.

"Lena, You have disappointed me greatly this time!!" admonished Headmaster William

"I-I am sorry Headmaster. Next time I will try to change myself, A-and will try my best to not disdain talentless people" Miss Lena being ashamed of herself hurriedly apologized to Headmaster.

Seeing Miss lena being ashamed of herself and bowing to him for forgiveness, Headmaster just sighed to himself tiredly, "Foolish girl, I am not angry and disappointed at you for disdaining towards talentless people, it's for an entirely different reason".

"W-what!?" exclaimed Miss Lena. She was completely taken aback by the unexpected words of the Headmaster. She observed Headmaster's face for any sign of falsehood, but was surprised that Headmaster was completely honest with his words and was not consoling her seeing her sad face.

Afterall, It was not the first time that, She disdained someone weak and less talented. But Headmaster has always just gently reminded her to not disdain them so much. It was because just like how see respects him a lot, He also sees her as his daughter and dotes on her a lot. That's why, She initially thought that, He was consoling her after seeing her sad face but it seems that was not the reason.

Now she was completely confused about, Why the Headmaster was even angry with her ? She just can't think of any other reason than that.

"B-but, then Headmaster, Why are you angry with me ?" meekly asked Miss Lena.

Now, even John was curious about the reason that, Headmaster was angry with Miss Lena. He also can't think of any other reason than that.

"Lena, let me ask you something! What place is this?" Headmaster William asked while mentioning the surroundings.
