Chapter 30

-Third POV-

With a little guidance from Oracle over the earpiece, Carnage was able to leave the Batcave and went to where Batman currently was.

"You keep telling me the address. I don't know anything." I said, looking around. It looked like a war happened in Gotham. Buildings were collapsed, burning, many cars were parked on the road and you can hear the scream and whaling of police siren all around. "Damn. Look what Gotham has become."

"Because you killed Black Mask. This is all your fault, Carnage. Now, follow my direction." Oracle said over the earpiece as she started giving Carnage directions.

After following her direction, I reached a part of the city that was more destroyed than the others. Cars were thrown around, some cars were burning, and there was no glass in any building or windows. Many of the bat family and the birds of prey were laying on the ground, all bleeding heavily.

Batman was standing in the middle of them, with his cape half torn off, suit tore from place fo place, blood flowing down his ears, and other injuries in his body. Surprisingly, his mask wasn't touched. Dark blue lightning was coursing around his body like they were his armor.

Across from him was a badly beaten Black Canary who was the only one still standing. She opened her mouth, ready to scream, but with a blue streak, Batman appeared in front of her and punched her on her throat, causing her to fall to her knees, and coughed loudly.

"Damn Batman. Wiping out your own family and fellow heroes. You are becoming like me." Carnage said, grinning. "Time for..."

"Stop talking and bring Batman back." Oracle said, cutting him off.

"Ok, ok." Carnage said, looking at Batman who's eyes were glowing light blue. "Time for Carnage vs Batman, round 3. This round will decide the winner."

Purple lightning appeared around his body and they stared at each other for some time before disappearing in a purple and blue streak.

They ran through the city, like a blue and purple streak, running up the side of the buildings unhindered, jumping from buildings to buildings, all while exchanging blows with each other.

Carnage punched Batman hard on his stomach, sending him flying many meters and slamming into a skyscraper, destroying the window and flying inside the office. He reached around and found a pen before throwing it at supersonic speed toward Carnage who just entered the office building through the broken window.

It flew through the air and stabbed Carnage on the right shoulder, causing him to scream in pain. Seeing him distracted, Batman entered speed time, everything around him slowing down, before dashing toward Carnage.

Seeing the dark knight coming toward him, Carnage punched out with his left fist which Batman easily dodged by docking before swiping at Carnage's feet, tripping him.

He then punched down at Carnage's head, but he quickly rolled to the side and dodge the punch, the floor giving in to Batman punch.

Carnage pulled out the pencil and threw it away before quickly running out the building, Batman flowing after him.

They ran through the city some more, throwing punches at each other, Carnage always missing and Batman always hitting. Batman wasn't dodging, but Carnage's fists kept going through Batman's body.

"What's is this? I can't hit him." Carnage said, running up the side of a building, Batman following right behind him. "What's is happening Oracle? Is this another trick he learned using my power that I did to know of or just something else?"

" I can't see, what is happening there but if you can't hit him, I know why. Batman once told me, that with your speed, if you vibrate your body fast enough, at the natural frequency of air, your body, no, your cells, will be in a state of excitement that should allow you to Phase... Through any solid substance." Oracle hurriedly said.

"Ok. Phasing. Vibrating as fast as air. I can do that." Carnage said, boosting his ego. "I am the original owner of this power. Everything he can do, I can also do."

Carnage turned around and ran down the side of the building, running toward Batman who was running upward. He threw his fist as hard as he can to Batman's face, and in the split second, before it hit, he saw Batman vibrating his body.

Grinning, Carnage also vibrated his body to the frequency of air and succeeded in punching Batman. Batman flew down and slammed onto the ground, creating a two-ring crater.

"Not yet." Carnage said, grinning wider.

He left Batman and ran down the street for miles before stopping and turning around. He then ran back at Batman, his speed gradually increasing, reaching Mach eight, and punched Batman, who just stood up, on his face.

Everything became silent as soundless energy went out, shattering all the glass in a 2-mile radius, and the crater beneath them expanding into a 5 ring crater. Batman's flew through buildings like a bullet for miles before stopping after hitting a truck.

"Rogue Batman, apprehended." Carnage said, running up to Batman and breathing heavenly. "But, he may be dead..."

"If he is dead, you will die too." Oracle said, sighing in relief.
