Chapter 33: New Face, Old Memories

The day following the war at the Marineford an article about it was posted worldwide. The article was as follows.

"The seas have gotten turbulent as the marine's plan backfired at them. Yesterday the marine's held the live execution of the notorious pirate Portgas D. Ace the commander of the second division of Shirohige pirates.

Edward Newgate the man famous in the world for his title as the world's strongest did not waste any time approaching and striking at the time of execution to save his crewmate.

Shirohige pirates along with their allies entered and started the war against the marines. The allies included a few new faces Imani Vancov, Jagger Souls, Leon Admmevich, and Anne Read all the previous commanders of Oni Pirates.

Recognizing the Oni Pirate commanders the marines were nervous if the Crimson Oni himself would show up in the battle to assist Shirohige. Seeing such a threat Fleet Admiral Sengoku announced the start of the war.

The war itself lasted about three full hours before coming to a stop. Crimson Oni Sanemi was revealed to be the son of Kaido along with Portgas D. Ace who is the son of none other than pirate king Gold Roger.

On the same day marines managed to defeat and kill one of the four Yonkos Edward Newgate, sadly Sanemi the Crimson Oni still had his plans. After the death of Shirohige, Sanemi wasted no time and absorbed the Shirohige Pirates in his new army the Yuyami Army, and declared war against the world government.

With his astounding charisma and great intelligence, Sanemi destroyed the Marineford and even threatened Akagami Shanks to be out of his way. The date and time of the war are unknown so are the actions of the world government, but no matter who wins or loses a new era is upon us"

The sun raised to the skies as a calm cool breeze swayed the tree leaves. Sanemi along with the commanders of Shirohige Pirates were standing in front of a huge grave.

The grave naturally belonged to the beloved father of the Shirohige Pirates after his death at Marineford Sanemi made him a grave as he promised.

"Marco bring the division leaders to me in an hour I will settle the ranks and people they need to command the allied pirates will function as they do always," Sanemi said as he patted Marco's shoulder and left.

A few steps away from Shirohige's grave there were three other graves. The graves belonged to no other than Afriel, Mary Rosita, and Otto Puck all three close comrades of Sanemi who were killed by Akainu.

'I have...been neglecting you all huh?' Sanemi thought to himself as he stared at the graves of his dead comrades. Memories of the people around him who died flooded his begin as he kept on staring towards the graves.

"I have killed your killer...I will take on the World Government now...rest assured...I will archive all of our dreams" Sanemi muttered as he closed his eyes and gave a small prayer and turned around to leave.

"We...we believe in you captain"

Sanemi turned around to see nothing but the wind blowing as peacefully as ever. A small tear left his eye as he continued to walk away.

An hour later all of the previous Shirohige commanders including Ace entered the meeting room. Sanemi was already sitting on his seat as res of them took one as well.

"I have called you all for one reason and it is regarding the war" Sanemi stared as all of them focused on him.

"I know about the recent loss you all had but I need your strength one way or another. For this, I will divide you all into different groups. Marco, Ace, and Juzo each will take position among the Heavenly Kings while Vista, Valmeco, and Jozu will take a position as commanders. The rest of you all will take a part of the Yuyami army and defend Shirohige's territory" Sanemi finished he observed the people in the room.

"I see...we accept it in that case," Marco said for all of the Shirohige pirates.

"Very well then rest for the day then you will be summoned for assigning the team, Heavenly Kings will gather in a two hours after lunch to discuss the plan of attack," Sanemi said as he disappeared from the room.

"Is this really right to go to war right after Father's death?" Juzo asked after Sanemi left.

"It is, otherwise we will be ruining the Shirohige name" Marco replied.

"Pops died because of me...While Teach was killed rest of his crew is now in the custody of World Government" Ace said as he clenched his fists tightly.

"I will kill them all..." Ace said with a serious expression as he walked out of the room.

"Sanemi-sama some ships belonging to the Snow pirates are spotted approaching us," One of the Army lookouts said as he saw Sanemi walking around.

"Snow Pirates? I have not heard of such a name before" Sanemi said as he went in a thinking position.

"Snow Pirates area a rather new generation of pirates. Their leader is not even a Supernova it is expected that you know nothing about people so low in the game" The lookout said.

"I see...I am interested in them, lead their ship to the dock and bring them in the foresight building room seventeen, floor three" Sanemi commanded as he headed towards the building himself.

'A pirate group approaching the army which declared army against the world...daring it seems' Sanemi thought to himself as he looked towards the Snow Pirate flag.

Sanemi walked towards the building himself as he entered the room and took the seat behind the desk.

'That flag resembles the logo of the hidden snow village...another world traveler or perhaps..." Sanemi's thoughts wondered as he waited patiently as the lookout guided the leader of Snow pirates towards the building Sanemi entered.

The leader of the Snow pirates was a beautiful woman who seemed to be in her middle twenties, she has long silky, raven black hair and pearly white skin tone, her eyes sharp yet mesmerizing wandered around the surroundings aimlessly. She was wearing loose Japanese-styled clothing which exposed the upper side of her chest.

"whoa..."

"Is she even a Pirate?"

"She should be because she just stole my heart"

"*dies of cringe*"

She smilingly entered the building as the lookout continued to guide her to the room. Just as he was about to knock on the dook Sanemi's voice came from the other side.

"Let her come in you can leave for the day," Sanemi said as he sensed the two people outside the door.

"Oh my, it seems he wants us to spend time alone~"

"well I had fun with but I am more interested in your leader," The moan said as she put her hand on the handle.

"Sanemi-sama is not like that!" The lookout defended.

"aren't you little loyal boy~ anyways I have a business to attend to~ I hope we don't have to cross paths again," The woman said as he opened the door entered the room, and closed it behind her.

"It seems that my guess was on point. Long time no see...Yuki" Sanemi said as he welcomed his old partner.

"Sanemi-sama!" Yuki said with a big smile as her eyes met Sanemi's. A soft orange glow covered her as she felt her previous powers returning.

"This must be Odin's blessing leaving and your powers returning," Sanemi said as he approached Yuki who stopped glowing.

"Master~" Yuki squealed in joy as she turned into her fox form and snuggled deep in Sanemi's arms.

"I see...I am sorry for your losses Sanemi-sama" Yuki said as she had her head in Sanemi's lap as he narrated his story.

"..." Sanemi said nothing as his thoughts wandered around and his eyes looked towards the skies through the open window.

"Sanemi-sama...would you like to hear my side of the story?" Yuki asked as she lifted her head up from his lap.

"of course, it would be my pleasure" Sanemi responded with a small smile as he patted her head.
