Chapter 2 | Kenta POV

Kenta paced around the backstage room, the floor boards creaking with every step, a paper had been handed to them with the questions the were going to ask, although Kenta found it fishy he revised his lines on what to say referring to the questions on the paper.

The other two werewolves were doing the same except without the continuous pacing, eventually Kenta stopped and sat down.

He began to think of his best and only friend, Yui. Yui was also as gay as Kenta and often spent his time trying to seduce him, Yui thought it never worked but each time he took a step closer Kenta could feel his heart thudding against his chest, threatining to fall out if he wasn't careful, he wasn't sure why hw felt that way, Yui was just a friend... right? Kenta wasn't even sure what the feeling was, perhaps it was a different form of embarrassment, at least he hoped it was.

They had been given a thirty minute break so Kenta took the chance to drink some water and calm himself down, despite what the other werewolves thought, the personality test was the most important, it showed how you would rule the pack and also proved your intellect by the words you use to describe yourself. It seemed stupid, but Kenta was told that when he was a kid so it must have been true, right?

Their time was up to relax, an official walked into the room and began to recite the rules once again, it was quite simple to remember, but the brawny werewolves looked as though they had never heard anything of the sort before.

The official stated that they had to follow him outside now, so they did. Kenta stayed far behind in the line, keeping his distance from everyone, but as they walked further he realised they weren't walking towards the stage... they were walking to the forbidden forest...

"Of course" Kenta thought as they walked further "This couldn't have been just a personality test, it's too simple a task to confirm an alpha, no wonder his family had told him this was the most important part. By the looks of it, he had to survive in the forest, alone"

The official stopped at the outskirts of the forest and glanced over at them, for some reason Kenta could feel his eyes bearing into his skin, leaving an invisible mark like a laser. "Why?" Thought Kenta "Why look at me." The official announced "We are here, you should have figured out by now that simple questions being thrown at you is too simple to decide who is alpha, Master Ai would not allow his pack to be ruled by an idiot, your actual test is to see if you can survive this forest for two days without the help of anyone, you must separate and form your own camp, a sheet of paper with extra rules and information has been given, good luck" The official teleported back to the stage and Kenta was left alone, the other two had disappeared too, probably teleported to different locations far away as possible from eachother.

There was no running away now, Kenta knew it, he was so close to becoming an Alpha, he had even spent an entire month in a forest, two days couldn't be difficult.

But what he failed to realise was this was no ordinary forest, it was the forbidden forest, a place that would go against you no matter who you are, even if you already were an alpha.

White no second thoughts, Kenta trudged into the forest, a serious expression on his face, and nothing in his hand, which sort of ruined the cliche but thats not the point here...
