Turning to look back towards the boy that stormed towards them with fire crackling from his palm, honestly, the constant use was probably good for his growth. His jaw was clenched and Nick could do nothing but sigh as Bakugo in an attempt to show superiority put his hand on Nick's chest and tried to push him out of the way saying. "Out of the way Bastard!"

As he felt the hand shove him he didn't budge. Gritting his teeth a bit he glared down at Bakugo who looked up at him with an expression full of rage as he was about to retort with something but Nick didn't let him. He hated Bakugo right now, the little shit had done nothing but be an asshole since class started and Nick didn't care that he was a pampered little shit. He needed to be taught a lesson. Also, his rage was just going to get worse now that he wasn't getting the top scores anymore. He had come with the expectation of being the best but had only got second place on the entrance exam, he had just gotten fourth, he wasn't even top three!

His attitude was way worse than the original. He always saw himself as better than everyone else, but now here he was unable to win at a single thing once he had started going to U.A. His confidence in himself was probably fraying meaning he was trying to belittle others to make himself feel better. And he had a victim already, Midoriya.

And his victim seemed to be growing and getting stronger.

Feeling the hand against his chest starting to warm up as Bakugo shoved harder and went to try and say something Nick grabbed Bakugo's wrist faster than the boy could react and with a simple thought cut the boy's sweat glands off. At the same time, he locked off his voice box and froze his muscles forcing them to stay in place paralyzing the boy before him.

Standing there in silence for a moment Nick looked down at Bakugo who couldn't even look up at him. He was forced to stare at Midoriya who was looking between Hendrix and Bakugo with shock on his face. Taking a few steps back away from the now very pissed statue.

"I don't know what business you have with Midoriya, but I don't want part of it. Honestly, for someone bragging about being the best I don't think I have seen you win? Is it because you spend all your time putting down others instead of improving yourself? And I thought you were taking this seriously."

Letting go of Bakugo with his power after giving him a shove, forcing the falling boy to stumble to try and regain his balance. As he got his feet beneath him he turned his furious glare towards Nick as he yelled. "THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY BASTARD!"

"I said you're not taking this seriously. What does it matter if-" Nick started to say but he was cut off by Aizawa who had walked around and corner and was glaring at them.

"Bakugo. I told you to go to the classroom. Midoriya and Hendrix, I told you to go to the infirmary. This is the hero course, not some playground. Get moving now before I give you a reason to." His tired voice was clearly annoyed as he watched them, waiting to see them move.

Without even looking at Bakugo Nick sighed, he was honestly glad that Aizawa came in when he did, he didn't have the emotional energy to deal with Bakugo at the moment. He would hopefully just kick his ass in the general heroics course when he got the chance.

He knew why he hated Bakugo so much, he had lived his entire previous life as a victim and that kind of shit stuck with you. Those memories wouldn't go away, he couldn't forget the dread that he felt every time he had to go to work. The things he was forced to endure just because he couldn't afford to speak out… He wanted to kick the teeth of that little shit in but he knew he shouldn't. He was just a kid, an arrogant entitled brat yes, but he could improve, and he did in the original.

Feeling like every time he encountered Bakugo however he just made the kid even more furious towards him Nick was starting to feel that his relationship with Bakugo would never even get too friendly. He was fine with that though.

With Midoriya following behind him having to jog every now and then to keep up he nervously started to say. "D-Don't think b-badly of Kacchan-" Midoriya started but was quickly interrupted by Nick.

"I won't think badly of him when he stops being a shit-head. He is an entitled douche-bag." Nick said, as Midoriya was about to speak up once more he stopped him by saying, "save it Midoriya. I'm not interested." Ending the conversation there. He was busy thinking of other things anyway.

Getting to the infirmary Recovery Girl quickly checked Midoriya's fingers and asked Nick how his quirk worked. With an explanation given and Recovery Girl confirming that Midoriya was fine the boys were dismissed but Nick didn't leave, instead waiting for Midoriya to leave the room. The other boy tried to wait but Nick just waved him off. Waiting for a moment longer Nick turned back to Recovery Girl and sat down where he was sitting before.

"So what can I help you with dear?" Recovery Girl asked in a sweet tone as she tried to offer him another sweet, which he accepted just holding it in his hand with the other three that he had been given.

"I was wondering if you offered extracurricular courses? As you have seen my quirk is great with healing but I want to be able to heal injuries that I can't reset. I think it would be invaluable for me." Seeing her nod her head slowly he decided to tell her the real reason. After all, if she was teaching him then he wanted to learn what was relevant. "I also want to be able to improve myself biologically, so that I can be stronger."

"Of course, I can deary, it's not the first time someone has asked me to teach them. We can fill your extracurricular slot with extra lessons if you want." Her smile made her eyes crinkle, her old skin full of wrinkles. "It will help me to have someone with such an amazing quirk as yourself help around once you know what you're doing. And just because you want to get stronger, does not mean that I won't teach you. After all, even if it is not the purpose of learning under me, you will still learn how to save others. And that will save someone's life in the future." Smiling even warmer Nick couldn't help but smile back. She was right after all.

The rest of the day passed without much happening. He went and looked at his curricular sheet and found out what his lesson plan was. He was eager for tomorrow when he would be able to have his first General Heroic's lesson and actually get back to fighting someone. He just hoped that he went up against someone strong. Preferable Bakugo, he wanted to kick that little shit's ass. He knew that he shouldn't think like that but honestly, his arrogance was starting to grate on Nick.

With the day finally finishing soon after he looked at his phone as the appointment he had booked with the principal was added to his calendar. He had been given a form that both he and Recovery Girl had signed and with that, he would bring it to him and finally be able to get the lessons authorized.

He had thought about asking for permission to use the support class workshops but honestly, he didn't see much of a point though. He had his shed back at him and he didn't need tools when he was using his quirk, he could just transform things. He was also thinking about the future as he walked back to the train station.

He was starting to doubt some choices that he had made. He had come into the world scared, to be honest. His anxieties stopped him from doing anything since he was scared of changing the future so he kept to himself and hunkered down trying to make as little of an impact as he could.

He wanted to use his knowledge of the future so that when a deciding moment came he could change it and make sure that what he did had an impact. He wanted to have a purpose… yet he was stopping himself from doing simple things because of it.

Nick had thought that the longer he was in the world, the more he would feel at home. But most nights he dreamed of that thread, of memories, flashes of pain. Moments where he wasn't in control, and they made him freeze up, he hated it. He hated seeing his own death over and over and over and OVER AND OVER again… it was wearing on him, making him tired. Reminding him that he didn't belong here.

He wanted to make sure he could make a difference. Have a big impact. But small differences were already going to be made by him just attending U.A. He may as well try to do something useful while he was here. Honestly, he had been thinking about it for a while now, the stronger Midoriya got, the safer the world would be. And if his classmates got stronger, he would be able to improve as well. He was here to learn after all.

Looking up at the sky as he walked he still didn't think he would ever get close to them but he could see himself being the big brother of the class that just didn't talk much. He didn't know how to talk to kids… it felt weird. He still felt like he was a fraud. It was all so confusing. At least he had Kendo, speaking with fists was way easier. He couldn't wait for the weekend so he could go down and get the shit beaten out of him again. He couldn't believe he was actually thinking that.

He would try and help Midoriya, he saw no reason not to. Honestly, it might be fun to see if the next user of All for One could get stronger than him. He also needed to get stronger himself though.

He needed to store biomass better. And he needed to finish his new mechanical arms. Grinning to himself he looked back down at the ground, to a city that was the one he lived in. He lived here now, this WAS his world.

He no longer felt such a need to protect the future. Things would change anyway and he still knew major information that would help him in ways that even if the future changed he would still know things he shouldn't. He would still have knowledge of the future.

He didn't have to stay in the background just because he was scared. In this world, he could make a difference despite what he kept telling himself. He could be better, stronger.

One of the first problems that Nick had when he had awakened his power was getting mass for his creations. Organics were easy to convert. It simply required him to break them down and rebuild them.

It was harder for non organics. Though, he didn't know why, theoretically it should be the same. Be broke said thing down at an almost atomic level and reassembled it. But it always resisted him. Wanting to go back to its original form. It would constantly fight him until it was completely reassembled. He was able to break down something and reassemble it into a different shape easily… but turning it into a different material gave him a headache.

Walking over to a tree one of the branches broke down and flowed into his arm as he felt his energy return. Honestly, over the years he hadn't helped with the deforestation problem…

Tapping his finger against his chin he tried to think about what he was doing wrong. He had been doing organics to organics for years, he had focused on it since he had thought it would keep him safe so he had gotten a lot of practice but he didn't think that was the problem. Walking back to the tree he looked at it as he laid his palm flat against the bark. Closing his eyes he felt the structure of the tree, he could feel it. It's composition. Willing it to turn into bone the tree slowly condensed down and when he opened his eyes before him, stood a tree made of bone. Smaller than the original. It had been easy. Why was there no resistance despite wood being different from bones?

Walking over to a boulder he put his hand against it and once again shut his eyes. Thinking hard he felt the composition just like he did with the tree, and as he forced his quirk to activate he willed it to change into iron.

Once again he felt it start to change but it resisted like it was going against his will. Then it hit him. Organics were easier because he wasn't pulling the structures apart. A living being could adapt, his quirk simply helped that process. Because he had always tried to be non-destructive with its use he had never pulled something apart. He simply willed for it to change.

With organics that was fine, he couldn't pinpoint why but it was. He assumed it was because organics were used to breaking down and changing. Living things grew and adapted but by using his quirk he simply forced the change to happen. The structure felt no need to resist being transformed.

As he felt the boulders composition he felt that as he tried to change it the bonds were not breaking. They were trying to stay the same since rock, couldn't change. His non-destructive way of using the quirk meant that he rarely fully disassembled something. Instead of simply reshaping it, that worked when he was turning metal into metal. It was such a simple problem but another way that his cautiousness had hindered him. He had been holding himself back.

Throwing the idea of caution to the wind he opened his eyes and stared at the boulder. Instead of trying to get his quirk to change the boulder he instead just ordered it to disassemble breaking all the bonds in an instant. As the boulder exploded into dust before him. A fine mist held by will in the air. He THEN ordered it to assemble into iron and watched as once again before him. A block of metal fell to the floor. Smiling he shook his head. He needed to stop being so. Anxious.

It did have a downside. He had to break something apart and then reassemble it. So instead of one step, it was two. That wasn't really an issue though, it just took more energy and another fraction of a second. Or as fast as he could get the orders out without interrupting the other.

Shaking his head he sighed as he put his hand against the floor. Feeling the ground beneath him. Both the grass and the dirt. Suddenly it exploded leaving him standing on a small pillar of dirt in the middle of a crater. As he thought this the air swirled with dust as golden lightning jumped between the assembling debris. His eyes glowed golden as the skin cracked to under his ears again. Molten sunset gold poured out of the cracks in his face and out parts of the reassembled machines.

As his shirt was torn apart from excitement he felt the skin of his back shift as he took a deep breath. His head hurt from the strain but his excitement pushed him on. His spine was covered in a metallic structure of machinery that erupted from his flesh assembling from parts. Organics laced through it as from the small of his back a mixture of metal and flesh sprouted. Long mechanical arms each about three meters in length. Flesh and bone between the metal plates. An organic arm of bone and muscle encased by machinery increased its strength tenfold. Four of them.

Sorry if this chapter is a bit off, I am really tired from work today but I want to keep to at least one chapter a day!

Thanks for reading and a much bigger thank you for all the support you have shown so far!

Special thanks to both _Hori_ and Mr_Night for the Kaneki and Doc Ock inspired arms. It looks like the original paragraph was deleted when I edited the grammar sadly.

And thanks to Yorich_Jansen who mentioned it as well!

Thank you all for the advice and support that you have given! It really makes me feel inspired to write more than ever!
