Prologue: Outcome of Sorrow

In front of me was an ocean, a body of water so vast that it escaped my sights past the horizons, I got enthralled by the waves that would happen with every passing of time, and up above which was reflected by the water, was a sky glittered with stars and moon that decorated the pitch-black space from beyond our earth.

I came here at midnight, it was so cold that I shivered from the strong wind blowing against my skin, I removed the slippers I had worn to feel the soft sand below me, and then I felt the cold rush of water engulfing my feet as I walked further into the ocean. The sounds of splashing water calmed my ears, the rustling leaves of nearby greenery was there to accompany me as well, naturally came with it was the whistling of the wind, but overpowering them was my heavy breathing that never seemed to stop, like in a constant state of panic.

Ah… I can't stop, with every breath I take I just inhale for more, the chills that I feel now aren't from the cold of the water or blow of the wind. It's fear. Shackled chains forcing me to go back, but I can't stop. My body is already halfway into the ocean, no matter how much air I intake I'll run out of oxygen after entering the depths of this ocean, my body will drift afar, and no matter how much I gasp for air, I won't be safe. By then my body had perished, my soul had vanished.

'Ah, the water is so clear… the waves are carrying me'. My eyes opened up to see the moonlight up from above, it reached down to me. As I sank further in, bubbles started to rise up, I sank further and further reaching the sand under me. 'This is were I lay to rest', I thought until I saw the rays of moonlight change in color underneath the water. My eyes widened and immediately looked for the moon, what once was white became purple in color.

I reached for it, despite knowing the distance of where I am to the moon, I still stood up and tried to reach for it. I realized then, I was higher than the water as if I didn't go far in as I thought after standing up, neither was I grasping for air a moment ago, and the moon… it felt closer to me as I can't even cover the sight of it with a hand outstretched to the moon, aiming for the unreachable skies.

I was baffled at the scenery shown to me, everywhere I look was just covered in water, completely surrounded. At first I thought I was in the middle of the ocean already but that did not make sense, the cold wind that passed every few seconds was long gone, despite the waves of shallow water still heard no noise found its way for me to hear. I looked further to see nothing, but what was behind me, it was a structure that came from the medieval era, a castle was belittling my size.

The castle was strangely familiar to me, it also gave me a number of headaches as I try to remember why it feels that way. While I was pondering over where I currently stand In a world of ocean, I heard a voice, it called for me from the inside of the castle, it wasn't the voice of a king as I thought that lived there. I wondered who could be with me right now?

I walked to the castle and stepping up to a path that freed my feet from the shallow water, I looked around and examined the stone walls, and to the fortress within, to which after my eyes found an entrance. A large wooden door twice the size of me, a 6 foot man, opened up before my eyes. Without knowledge of anything, I entered following the stone path that would lead me to another door, this time a normal wooden door.

I opened it up and found myself inside, there was a few halls, a number of doorways that each had two armor stand by the side as if to guard it, colored glass pains decorated the stone walls, flight of stairs and more paths to other rooms. "For now let's go up and head for the middle, maybe someone is waiting at the throne". I continued to walk, aiming to locate the throne room, I assumed it was in the middle of the castle, in the hopes of a face to talk to and explain.

I haven't actually thought about it, but a purple moon, a place to stand in the middle of the ocean, and a castle is certainly odd. After losing myself in thought I got lost for a moment wandering the huge structure until the same voice as before called out my name.

"He knows who I am?" I followed the voice, I did not bother asking where the voice was, I needed to collect my thoughts and calm down before talking either ways, so being a little late to the party should not be a problem. He called out for me more, asking where I am, so that our time is not to be wasted, I've decided to not think too much about it until I get answers.

As I calmed down I noticed the echo that would sound out each step I make, and then I found myself just outside of where the voice came from, behind another door. I opened the door and found… a kid?

He sat on a throne in the middle of the room that reached a length of 9 meters as a rough measure. And behind him, light passed through the colored window. "I've been waiting" he told me, a grin escaped from his faced and looked at me for a while, he was intimidating. He sat there holding a long blade enough for his hands to rest on his sword and his chin lay on top of it. He was kind of hunching over due to him laying his chin upon the handle of his weapon, but I could tell he was  shorter than me.

On his head was a golden crown, decorated with marvelous gems, but worn laying sideways on his head like a strapped fox mask. His messy hair was black in color and looked soft.  He wore clothing expected from royalty, a well designed black tailcoat that had golden laces decorated upon it, high wasted black trousers, and boots just shorter than the height of his knee. The rest of his facial features was normal for a boy that looked like a 13 year old except one thing, his eyes.

His eyes were glowing in the shadow of being against the light. His iris was a perfect mixture of light blue and white as if it were cold ice, the edge of his iris was straight like a decagon rather than the normal curved, and a pupil that took shape of a snake eating itself. He gazed upon me like a king upon his subject, and I felt the pressure of his stare that felt like it could freeze hell.

"I haven't introduced myself" he straightened his back and looked at me eye to eye, "I am what you humans suggest as a God" his voice echoed throughout the room, my mind moved slowly refusing to believe the information it has been given. Despite my mind straying away from the truth, I could tell, his stare was enough for me to say he is not human, and more than a monster.

A being of eternal power and knowledge was sitting before me, even if he's holding back I could feel a heavy aura as if gravity itself was pulling me harder commanding me to bow before he who sat upon the throne, and the long stare felt like it was seeing through me at all angles. A being you can't comprehend, a manifestation of infinity who knows no end.
