The Spook

Eliza has a strange view of the man listening in front of him. She has been working for Imelda's Eyes for a long time. Understood the depths of some people and yet there was a singular man who held her interest for a long time.

Or perhaps it was the time in Solomons? It was hard not to forget the time where even her augmented body was so battered. She remembered it so fondly that if she had done it more than four times. She might not have been satisfied with anyone.

A Primo Body that was all-natural. She had it checked for science. All she found was a body that was naturally bred and was peak. He didn't show any signs of mutation. Augmentations and even super soldier serums. If there was a perfect body, then Nikolai has it.

He was a freak of nature. Even her sisters who saw this perfection couldn't help but wonder what it would like. Even their lead had wondered if something like this would even be possible.

She was a bit disappointed that he died. But seeing him casually walking in Karagi as if it was nobody's business made her wonder why he 'died'. Someone took him out and yet here he was. She wondered if that was nothing more than a fake or that he already got what he wanted.

Her loins burned. She felt fidgety looking at the dull gaze as he listened to Mary Lyn talk. The more Mary Lyn talked. The duller his eyes became. This woman wasn't innocent. Perhaps, she really was someone who didn't have any relationship before, but it was all because of her addiction to running her business. She was a classic example of a workaholic with a lot to prove. Missed out on everything fun and had painted her image to cope with how much of a loveless heathen she was. Despite her somewhat strange lovelife, she was a monster in the fields.

She was also man-hating and without the pills concocted for her. Eliza doubts that she'd be able to humiliate her. Strange thing about Mary Lyn was that she was quite obsessed. That look on her face said it all. Eliza already told her that nothing happened between her and Nik. But she was an overthinker. She didn't doubt that the 'degenerate' who filmed her had her way.

It was her way to cope by twisting it. Eliza did want him to have fun. Get some dirt on him, but the drink that she gave him didn't bother him. If anything he took it like a champ. Nikolai either had the control of a God or it simply wasn't effective on him.

"Are we done?"

"I need assurance. That you would not leak it."

"As long as you cooperate."

"And him? What if he has info on me? How can I not know that he did nothing?"

"I assure you that my friend here is rather… loyal."

"This isn't something you'd like to hear from someone who aided in doing this to you. But I haven't touched you at all."

"My guards will be noting you."

"They won't find us. Trust me on that."

Eliza smiled as she assured Mary Lyn. She was a handful for a woman. But then again everyone had some sort of weakness. She left the area undetected by the guards. All the guards know that their Lady had an affair with Mia Stein and a guy. They were quiet professionals that didn't dare to assume anything about the tastes of their lady.

Eliza called her car back to her. She sat on the driver's seat and drove back to her place while Nikolai quietly rode shotgun with her. He didn't say anything along the way.

As they entered the apartment where she was staying. Eliza caught sight of Nikolai's face losing focus. He shook his head. Adjusted his sight and glared at Eliza.

"Never drug me again."

"Oh, it worked?"

"It was delayed."

He sat on the couch and removed the skin mask that he wore. Eliza removed hers and looked at Nikolai.

"It must be quite a turn-off."

"It is."

"I understand. Still, our methods are far more merciful. There is a much awful way of doing this, I assure you."

"I want the information."

"I sent it to you, already."

Nikolai nodded. He checked his device and probably saw the files transferred on the transponder. Eliza had already known that he removed most of the tracing features and had already separated the device from their network. They can send files to him, he can read on their database, but they cannot interact with his device or even try to forcibly reconnect it back. It could only mean that Nikolai had a tech expertise that can crack their code and plausibly gain access to their network. It felt like a mistake, but if she can maintain this partnership. She might acquire information.

However, Nikolai after a few minutes of rest, did not even touch her. He left her apartment and showed not a single thought of making a move towards her despite her being scantily clad.

Eliza felt her confidence dipped, and yet there was a spicy feeling. That feeling of being ignored lit a fire in her heart. If the man was trying to attract her interest, then he succeeded. Still, she wonders when they will meet again?

To Eliza, Nikolai Orlov became someone she wouldn't mind meeting once in a while. She enjoyed the dull look and the changes of expression that he has when met with things that he despises. His expression can be solid as stone, but getting to see some of it was interesting enough.

Not to mention that she got a lot of success. She got Mary Lyn hooked into this awful 'partnership' and if any of Mary's partners would know that their cold-hearted boss easily got into an awful relationship with a spook. They would certainly be surprised and at the same time disappointed that their Lady ain't so chaste and pure after all.
