My last business with the gangs of Karagi starts with a meeting with the local thug named Rocco. Tough bastard who managed to put down four gangs ever since he started his gang. Has connections to the local police officer. And was ruling here for two years already smoothly.

Currently Rocco is sweating buckets in front of Nix and Marion. Marion carries a gauss rifle while Nix holds a light machine gun. They weren't kidding around. Not when they are going deep into territory like this, and that I manage to shoot their guns down with a quick draw.

My spyware has gathered data from Rocco. He stared at me like I was some kind of demon. Course' you'd look at someone who just shot the weapons of his men and was now threatening to join.

Rocco started with tough talk. Didn't entertain him since we had an understanding of what his place will be in the negotiation. Got an agreement. Didn't shoot his gang so there is understanding between us. Morgan's name mattered and having Marion and Nix around made my life easier.

Rocco did not bluff. No, he couldn't bluff at the overwhelming information that I said to him. It may sound like I just laid down all my cards, but I didn't let out the other one.

If Rocco wanted to, he could have refused. Do something so stupid while we are pointing our guns at him. If anything this was kinder than what I'd wanted to do. Rocco and his gang have good control of the other gangs. Removing him means that there is going to be a shitshow who will be in control.

To Rocco this deal means that he'll get a connection with someone like me who holds enough information to force him on the spot. Rocco was musing over it before giving up entirely.

And I already know that this son of a bitch has an admiration for Nix. So seeing Nix pointing his gun at him was more of an honor than a shame. His men already know not to fuck with Nix, and seeing Marion and the me who was playing Morgan's role made them quiver. Even Madam Trixie is quite infamous among these gangs and with them coming here. How could he refuse?

Rocco gave up and agreed. He didn't dare to make moves knowing this.

"Okay, chill mates, so we agree then?"

"We need a verbal agreement and a written one."

Marion demanded. Nix kept his gun trained on them. Rocco scoured at the gun before saying loudly and writing it on paper. I stored the written agreement and the recording in my pocket and kept it in my inventory wheel.

We discussed a few arrangements. Rocco said that he'll take on the lower Karagi Platforms and get control of the gangs. Since we are now acquainted, we have decided to keep in contact. Nix and Madam Trixie were going to be my partners, not subordinates despite them being somewhat loyal to Marion.

After the short business with Rocco. We went back to our hideout and decided to take a short break as well. Marion was mostly synthetic, but she still could taste food and recycle the food she carried into bio energy. The ghost tech which is her body itself is incredible.

Nix stayed for coffee while listening to me go on about how we should take on the lower platforms of Karagi. You see, Karagi has this hierarchical and power-based structure. The top dogs of Karagi are old families who were here during the change. They have pockets in the government, factory, and even the local corporation.

One thing that separates this shithole with others is that Karagi is a city-state. Meaning to say that it has autonomy on its laws and many are attracted to this prospect to the point that they rather live and die here despite the absolute terrible living conditions of the city if you are a lower platform citizen. One thing is that Karagi is a shithole with many benefits if you manage to rise to the middle of the platform. The lower itself is a breeding ground of degenerates and psychos who are eager to get made.

If I didn't have any assets. I would be in the lower platforms, but I see no reason to keep it real. I made use of my connections and prior knowledge.

Rocco's importance wasn't because he was competent. Because in that game he was only the one who was still alive. There are ways to get rid of the fucker, but he's a nasty cockroach that would survive no matter. So it's better to have a son of a bitch like that as an ally instead of an enemy. Not to mention that with our help. He'll be the head of the lower platforms. The middle platforms are already in the hands of Madam Trixie and Nix. Nix being the Senior Enforcer has kept the middle platforms in check through absolute dominance.

Madam Trixie, Nix, and Rocco weren't going to follow me for a simple reason. Marion might be able to convince them, but every thug in this city always has this ambition that makes them go through all the bullshit here in the city of Karagi. If anything, Pacifica was rather tame compared to Karagi. Pacifica had schools and learning institutions. Karagi is an industrial city and a school existing here would take one hell of a miracle.

Karagi is all business.

If I started here with my own name. I would start from the bottom of the fucking floor, have to go through so much bullshit, and prove myself. I'd had to end a lot of gangs. I did intend to do that. Even laying down the foundations has already been a hassle. But with Rocco on board. I think that I can finally start on our first act. Marion, who stared at me, seems to have caught the change in my digital mask.

It was time to shake down the tree.
