Chapter 18

Chapter 18: Goblin Village.

Day 3:

Max woke up like the previous day, he woke Old Red and the others and they went to hunt for breakfast, upon returning they all ate and then Max and Jeff got back to their work.

They didn't have anyone other than Old Red who could help them so it took them quite a while.

They finally finished the houses when the sun was setting, Jeff had an entire house alone as compensation but the others had to share, 4 in each house.

Aria and the 3 new girls had a house, and then Othman, Darek, and the twins shared a house.

Today's summoned batch had 2 men and 3 women.

1 was another architect who looked way younger than Jeff and probably came from a different world from an older era, 1 was a farmer, Much needed, and then 1 woman was a cook, and the other two... Citizens.

Well, one was an old woman so we shouldn't count her and the other looked kind but she was more of a housewife, maybe she could help in the cooking and even cleaning of the houses. The problem was both of them were either too scared to stay or too tempered... Especially the Old Lady, Max who wasn't familiar with them had a very hard time.

Their names were respectively, Morezo, Daniel, Lora, Aicha, and Eliza.

Once again after their introduction, they grouped up in the Middle Room so they get to know each other more, and after that, they separated.

Day 4:

"My Lord, It's about time you get some fighting experience, let's raid that village... You & Me." Old Red woke up earlier than Max this time.

"Why now?" Max asked.

"The more important things have been dealt with, it's about time we focus on you." Old Red replied.

"Sure, let's go." Max sighed and said.

The two of them like the previous days hunted for breakfast, ate and then went on to the village, Of course after Max informed Tiara.

Once they reached the cliff once again Max looked at Old Red and said.

"Now what do we do? Should we jump in and start fighting them?"

Old Red turned to look at him in his usual cold gaze and asked.

"My Lord... Are you a primitive barbarian?"

"..." Max stood there stunned, he then put his hand on his chin and pondered seriously.

"I might be."

"Glad you understood." Old Red turned to look at the village and replied.

"I do not have the ability to light fire or control elements, Due to my lack of cores... But it seems I should be able to sooner or later if what you said about that being caused by my ability is true." Max said as he thought.

"Oh, I can do something even better... With my sword OR with this cliff...." he smiled and raised his finger.

"Good thinking, as a Lord you should use your wits more than your fists." Old Red reminded Max of his advice.

"You're right, and it's so much easier they don't stand a chance. Haha!" Max laughed out loud before he moved back for a while.

Old Red didn't say anything and only moved behind Max.

"This should be good enough." Max said after calculating the area of effect.

"And..." Max separated the cliff from its place with his ability, lifted it with two fingers, and slowly launched it toward the village.

"Here We GOOO!" He shouted in excitement.

"Shouldn't you feel a bit of remorse? They're living existences?" Old Red said calmly without a shred of seriousness.

"I mean, they're Monsters... Just a bunch of experience and... Loot? Wait, do these monsters give loot like in RPG Games and stuff? Doesn't seem like it from the rabbits but I never tried... Maybe my ability will make a difference. Well... *BOOOOM* Let's go down and see."

The huge cliff smashed down on the pitiful goblins' Village from the sky like heavenly punishment, the poor green fellas didn't know what hit them before their souls left for the reincarnation kingdom.

Max slid down the cliff and arrived at what now seemed like a natural disaster instead of an-once-was village.

"That sure did hit well... Hmm? What's this feeling? It feels so good like I'm ascending the sky." Max's brain lightened and his body felt numb yet electrocuted, his fingers and toes tingled and he unconsciously raised his head to the sky. He looked like he had a seizure.

"That's what Leveling up feels like, however, it doesn't feel like that in the first few level-ups." Old Red who mysteriously appeared behind Max startling him said.

"Huh? Then how was it? Was that the reason why you knocked me up?" Max asked.

"Yes, and multiple other reasons that you probably know some of by now."

"As for your first question, it looked like your bones were going to come out of your body at once, as the optimization of your entire existence had to be completed using that Essence Experience you gained."

"Uwaa, that sounds painful like hell, Thank you, Old Red!" Max shivered when he heard that before he smiled and expressed his gratefulness for Old Red's kindness and thoughtfulness.

"Anyways, Let's search for some goblins!" Max immediately started using his ability to separate parts of the cliff to uncover the 'Loot'.

It didn't take long before he found some, and he didn't like what he saw in the slightest.
