Chapter 17

Chapter 17: Making Houses.

"Sir Jeff, It's your turn now. I've made the houses, but they're like empty blocks, I will need you to add the windows, doors, and the furniture."

"We will need beds, drawers, chairs, closets, futons, tables, etc. Well, you know better. I will bring the woods and you tell me what tools and materials you need to work I will help you make them for now." Max called Jeff over after he finished making 10 Cubic Houses and told him his next plan.

The two of them started working and only stopped when the sun started setting.

"It's about time to summon the second batch, My Lord." Old Red came over to Max and informed him.

"You're right, Sir Jeff, tell everyone to gather up in the Middle Room, please. Old Red, let's go." Max put whatever he had in hand and started heading towards the white gate, once he arrived he touched it and it started glowing brightly for the second time.

The gates opened and it flashed white four times before five figures started coming out.

"Ah... Brother!" Just as the gate was closing up one of the subjects who seemed to be around 8-10 years old looked at Max and then at his fellow subjects and yelled.

The 5 looked at the one who yelled and one of them who looked exactly like him was frozen in shock. The two of them remained like that for a few seconds before they jumped at each other.

"Waaaaaaaaah! I missed you so much!" the kid who first yelled shouted once more.

"Uwaaaaaaah! Why did you leave me!" They hugged each other with tears coming down their cheeks and staining each other's shoulders.

"Twins? They're so young." Max started going towards them as he talked with Old Red. However, he didn't interfere with them yet but went directly to the other 3 subjects who were all women.

"Hello there, I'm your lord, Max. Welcome to my territory! please introduce yourselves." Max smiled and said.

"Umm, sorry but, can we quit, I don't want to be a subject or whatever." One of the women who was quite short with blue hair and blue eyes wearing a blue dress said in a condescending tone.

"Yes, you can. Just walk all the way in that direction, I won't recommend it though, there are monsters there capable of snapping your little head in seconds." with his smile still there Max replied, he then without a second of delay turned to look at the other two.

one of them who probably thought like the first one shivered as she looked down without talking, but another one smiled slightly and came closer to Max.

"Call me Jera, I'm a doctor From planet Majora. I like you and your way of doing things so count me in." She shook Max's hands while saying. Jera was dark blue-haired, had sulking eyes, and looked like she probably had a weird personality, She wore a long white coat with a black T-shirt underneath and some jeans.

'A Spanish name? Unusual.' Max thought.

"It's good to have you here, Jera. I'm looking forward to your help in the future." Max replied politely.

He then looked at the two women. Once they saw him they swallowed and introduced themselves.

One was named Melissa and her profession was an actor, The other was Laria and she was a singer...

'Both useless.' Max thought as his polite smile was still there, he just didn't shake their hands.

He turned to look at the twins who had finally finished their reunion and looked at him.

"Hello there, kids. Call me Brother Max, What should I call you two?" Max's smile felt even more warm as he spoke to the kids.

"I'm Kero..." One kid looked down shyly and replied.

"I'm Nero!" The other moved in front of his brother in a protective manner and introduced himself.

"Kero and Nero, Nice to meet you. You don't have to worry about me, I'm not going to hurt you, and the people in this territory are all kind so you can just play around and have fun without worrying about anything. If you need anything don't hesitate to come to me, Big Brother here got a cool superpower!" Max pointed at himself and smiled widely.

"A Superpower?" Once the kids heard him say that their eyes brightened.

"Wooow, Are you a Hero?" Nero got closer to him and asked.

"Can you spew laser from your eyes?" Kero immediately followed him and said.

"Can you fly?" Then Nero got even closer.

'I don't know can I?' Max thought seriously.

'Maybe I can!' After visualizing it in his brain it seemed doable, but he couldn't test it now, he planned to do so tomorrow.

"Do you have super strength?" they asked simultaneously.

'They finally asked the real question.' Max thought.

"I can't spew laser out of my eyes but I can do something even cooler!" Max smiled and said, He then took out his sword from his pocket.

"Woow, is that a sword? Big Brother Max, do you fight vilains?" Kero asked.

'Keh! They're so easy to please they didn't even let me show off.' Max cried internally.

"Haha, No. I'm not a hero to do that, but I will fight monsters soon!" Max replied.

"Monsters!? Waaah, I'm scared." Kero started crying.

"Don't worry, I will protect you!" Nero hugged him and said.

'Eh? Aren't they a bit too old to be so childish? When I was 10 years old I was already conscious of my surroundings, Although I'm not one to talk. They probably have their own circumstances.' Max thought.

"Anyways, Let's go meet up with the others first." Max told them and started moving along with Old Red who was as silent as a rock beside him.

Once they reached the house they entered and saw Tiara teasing Othman while the others sat without doing anything, Max looked at the tired Jeff and said.

"Sir Jeff, you don't have to force yourself, please go and rest."

"Thank you, My Lord." and without a second of delay he got up and went to the Men's Quarters.

They didn't yet start living in the houses because things weren't organized, but once everything is settled the residents of the Lord's House will move to their houses, and only important members such as Old Red and most certainly Lady Tiara will remain.
